Cameras in the mountains

So far they are operating ok. No rain storms, cold temps or high winds to see if they still provide a clear picture. Installation was easy. Adding memory was easy too. Seems like a good purchase.

Jury is still out, but leaning away from Blink

I knew going into it that the sound wasn't that great. I knew going into it that the nighttime view is near impossible to make out facial features (which makes it near impossible for visual ID without lights on). Even using their hub (2nd gen), it seems that it disconnects from the internet when other devices that I have hooked up don't, which would seem to be a Blink problem. Due to how lose the cameras swivel, a squirrel was able to move the camera, so it no longer covered the house--which wasn't helpful when I was out-of-town and unable to fix it remotely. The benefit of blink is that it is very low priced equipment that usually does let you know when movement is there and the daytime view is extremely good.
