Awesome wi-fi cameras accessed via your cellphone app! These are a cinch to set up as the directions are so easy to follow & they work like a charm. Hardest part was getting the little plug out of the back of the camera but all else was a go!

I replaced an older XT-2 with this one. A squirrel had decided to chew the IR covering off the old one. Setup was easy. I like the screw out opening better than the older slide tab on the back. I use it to keep tabs on wildlife in woods behind our house.

Very affordable addition to my Blink security system. Covers a surprisingly large area, takes solid videos. Newer models have a better mount, but thesexwork fine.

Gets the job done without costing a lot. The are notification cams not monitoring cams. Hence the reason they are called BLINK. You get notified when something is happening. If you want to consistently watch to see whats happening on cam religiously, then these are not for you. You only get to view a short recording wait 10 secs to start recording again. Just a Blink!

I cannot say enough about this camera system, having used other security cameras for years. I purchased this system to help monitor my aging mom and the setup and mounting of all 5 cameras took less than 5 minutes. Night vision is perfect. We use the cameras indoors because the 5-camera outfit needs a separate device to either sync with the cloud or storage the security footage locally. Using a 256 GB thumb drive, I did not even have to subscribe to the cloud feature. It is possible to use rechargeable batteries and connect to AC current for recharging, but the batteries are supposed to last 2 years. The only complaints I have are the confusing way you have to connect to Amazon and set up 2-way verification - I was letting my brother-in-law set this up with his information only to find he did not have an Amazon account - I will have to fix that one if I ever set up a cloud account. The other is the color. Since I use the cameras indoors, having a white option would have been better.

I like the camera and the image and sound but if there is a lot of movement the cameras run out very quickly and if you have them in a high place and that you must climb it is annoying to be changing the batteries every time

Pros: 1) excellent image quality (when conditions are ideal) 2) ultra fast setup. Everything up and running within 10 minutes totally on WiFi 3) App is very easy to work with and well laid out. 4) Blink module works excellent and synced all the cameras instantly. Even the camera mounted on a tree stake way way outside. 5) Excellent price point and value especially when on sale. 6) Convenance of quickly swapping batteries instead of waiting all day to charge. 7) Excellent microphone, can hear my neighbor across the street from the app. Cons: 1) The active zones that trigger recordings do not work. In beta mode per the app which is hard to understand how a camera company backed by Amazon no less would have such a key feature as zone recordings in 2021? 2014 called and wants its zones back. 2) Buggy recordings and tons of false alarms. Such as recording a waving flag but missing someone walking or a car. 3) Mounts are not properly designed to work under eaves. The arm that connects the camera to the base is non existent, preventing you to tilt the camera up significantly. Had to purchase Wasserstein mount. 4) Annoying feature in the app that would automatically start recording when you chose live play. So many needless and redundant video clips of nothing. 5) Camera image quality at night was blurry and dull. For a security camera this is a no brained. important benefit that Blink missed. I feel they were too focused on price point and cut some corners on the system, especially the ir sensors 6) If weather is foggy the camera is missing in action. Lens totally condensed in water. The design is prone to this as the lens sits very close to the surface. Maybe recessing the lens into the housing would prevent this?
