Posted .Hello HPrules! Thanks for your review on your Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight. Lets try a couple things to make sure you're getting the most out of the battery. Note (Very Important): Blink cameras are only compatible with size AA 1.5 volt Lithium non-rechargeable batteries and the Floodlight uses 4 alkaline D-cell batteries. 1. Reposition your camera if you're receiving false motion notifications. 2. Shorten the length of your motion clips. 3. Reduce your use of Live View. 4. Lower your camera's sensitivity setting. 5. Set up Activity Zones to prevent excessive motion clips or false alerts. 6. If possible, only arm your camera when no one is home.7. Reduce the amount of time your camera is armed when at home. 8. This can be automated by enabling Scheduled Arming. 9. Individually arm and disarm certain cameras within a system. 10. Ensure that your camera has at least 3 bars of signal strength for camera to Wi-Fi. 11. Reduce the use of your camera's illuminator. Floodlight dies

It showed as offline and after changing out to fresh batteries the floodlight is no longer recognized by the app. No no matter how many times I delete, add again, change batteries, etc, the app refuses to recognize its existence. The camera is still recognized and works fine. Floodlight is dead. Lasted a little over a year. Don't buy this bundle. There's a reason they sell the floodlight standalone. Maybe the camera by itself, but I don't know if I'd even recommend that. At least it came with the sync module. That's guaranteed to always work, they couldn't charge you a monthly fee without it. Amazon products are just a half step above Temu nowadays.

Homeless repellent

I do know you can’t see the recorded video of motion detection with out paying unless you have a usb and hook it to your computer. I will be paying for the service.
