Wired the blinks and still get notifications weekly that they are offline. Even wired they are horribly slow.

I got the Blink - Outdoor Wired 1080p Security Camera with Floodlight and couldn’t wait to install it. Finally had some warmer weather after the arctic freeze in the Northeast, so I was able to perform the installation. It was actually pretty easy to do by replacing an existing flood light. The only minor drawback in my case is this flood light is on a switch, so I have to make sure everyone in the house knows not to turn it off which would render the whole setup, including the camera useless.
Once the unit is wired you start with downloading and installing the Blink App on your phone that requires you to create an account, and follow the instructions in the App to add the camera to your Wi-Fi network. Image quality is pretty crisp during the day and decent during the night, though it certainly gets better once the floodlight kicks in and lights up the surroundings. The intensity of the light is adjustable thru the App from 1-10, so I picked 5 which is plenty bright - Warning - do not look directly at the flood light or any bright LED lights for that matter, you could damage your vision. So yes, this thing is very bright, so make sure you adjust the angle position as well. The camera has 2-way audio built-in but the volume is kind of low which is to be expected from such a small unit. I don’t think I’ll be using this feature much as I rarely have anyone come up to the garage door to enter the house, the front door is 20 ft away and has its own camera doorbell. Motion detection is decent as well, though sometimes it’s too sensitive when windy.
Unfortunately this Blink camera does not have an SD-card slot, though you can purchase an accessory, the Blink Sync Module 2 and Flash Drive for local video recording, otherwise you’ll have to pay $3/mo or $10/mo for Amazon cloud storage. Other low budget cameras such as Wyze v3 come with a micro-SD slot for local recording.
Overall, this is a decent setup for a reasonably low price and the flood lights are great, but the camera is just OK IMHO.

The Blink outdoor wired 1080p security camera with floodlight came to me neatly and securely packaged, and included everything needed for a quick and easy installation.
I wanted to mount this camera under the eave on the horizontal soffit where a previous floodlight was located. Past attempts were unsuccessful because other manufacturers didn't design their cameras with this option in mind. It is sort of mind blowing since a large percentage of homes in my area have flood lights mounted in this location, and these devices seem to primarily target the DIY retrofit market.
Installation was super easy and straight forward. Simply power off the circuit for safety, I prefer to use the circuit breaker so that no one can kill me by flipping the switch as they walk past, and remove the old light. Next, attach the bracket for the Blink light/camera and hang the light assembly from the bracket using the included S-hook, and connect the wires color to color just like the old light. Finally, remove the S-hook and install the light/camera using the single center fastener, align as you like, and tighten it securely so that it doesn't rotate. Installation complete!
Setup with the Bling App was just as easy. Just download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, follow the instructions to setup your account, locate the device, and follow the instructions within the app. The light quickly connects to the network and control becomes available via the app.
The Blink device also easily integrates with Amazon's Alexa service using the Blink Skill. Then, if you have an Echo Show, you can say something like, "Alexa, show the driveway", and in a few seconds the camera view of the driveway will appear on screen.
This is a great product. It seems to be well-made, is intelligently designed to work in most locations, provides great video quality, and easily integrates with smart home devices.

Highly recommend this security camera floodlight. Can't believe how effective this light and camera is at making great video and great sensors. I installed this after the last cold snap here in Missouri.
Installation: The installation was straightforward and was able to be installed and secured within 30 minutes of time. Hardware for installing came with several options and screws and bolts which made the job even easier.
Software: The blink app was easy to find and install on my iPhone. Software has great options and settings for the camera and the light. Including sensitivity and length of video recording and quality settings. I am very impressed with the notifications being sent to my phone and for the very few false notifications. I like how stable the software is and reliable.
Hardware: Build quality is really good. Very solid feel to all materials. Packaging was very good to keep the light secure during the shipping and keeping any damage from accruing. The camera and the lights themselves are easy to adjust and set exactly how and where you need the light and camera to capture events as they occur.
Video and Audio: Both video quality and the audio quality went above and beyond my expectations. Very impressed with both and am glad I replaced the former floodlight I had with this one. Couldn't ask for better.

My father introduced me to Blink cameras a year or so ago and I've continued to be impressed with their offerings ever since. They all have great features and are relatively easy to install if you have a little bit of DIY knowledge and about 30-45 minutes of time.
I knew Blink more for its wireless cameras than I did for anything that is hardwired. My wife and I have recently gotten into AirBNB rentals and we are looking for some security cameras that are both affordable and doesnt break the bank for recording fees. Blink accomplishes both of those with this camera. The lights are plenty bright for my needs at 2600 lumens and the camera, while it needs a little polishing on the night vision, particularly when the lights are activated, this is a really good entry into floodlights for Blink. The only reason I took off 1 star is because of the wash out when the camera begins recording. From what I've heard, this will be addressed in an upcoming software update.
This will probably end up being re-installed at my Grandfather's house since his floodlights need replaced and we need a camera to cover his backyard. As a family we have installed several Blink cameras on the exterior of the house and a couple on the inside so we can make sure he is ok. The investment into these camera's has been much less than I would have paid for other brands, so that makes these more valuable in my opinion. I dont think you can go wrong with this floodlight camera.

First off "wired" means you are going to connect this item directly to electric wire, not plug it in to an outlet. Have an electrician or handyman who is good with electric install this. It's not unattractive but it's not a decorator style light you would want in the front of the house. I had a wired floodlight in my backyard and we replaced it with this light. The handyman moved it so that it would attach to the patio and light up the area where someone would enter from the back gate. It's pretty bright! Even though it is directed towards one side of the yard, there is enough light that it lights up the whole backyard. There is an app that allows you to turn the light on and off. Seems simple but I like being able to turn the light on and then take the dog in the backyard instead of going in the backyard and then the light turning on. The camera will record events; however, if you want to view the events you'll need to subscribe to the service. Yes there is an introductory period with no charge and after that there is a charge. I personally do not sign up for subscription services. I did do a little research and saw that if you purchase a Blink sync module 2 and a flash drive, you can store video clips locally. It was reasonably priced so I purchased but have not added connected yet.

I am extremely pleased with the Blink Outdoor Floodlight Camera. It was simple to install (in place of an existing floodlight fixture), it included everything needed for installation (including multiple screws depending on the electrical box, and it operates perfectly with no false positives on movement. This camera has caught videos of the moose munching on our bushes and aspen trees so I assume it would do the same with human intruders. Are the lights bright? YES! I have them set for 50% brightness and they light up objects (in color) at night that are 60 feet away from the camera. I have many standard battery Blink cameras and this is by far the best I've purchased.

The Blink - Outdoor Wired 1080p Security Camera with Floodlight is an excellent combo for those not wanting to spend hundreds (or thousands) of dollars on their first security product.
The fact that it comes with a (gotcha! just bright enough) spotlight is just icing on the cake.
First thing, installation, don't let this or any other of the reviews scare you off. If you need to get professional help - don't be afraid to call a local electrician if you have and questions (or in my case my father in law). We just don't want the Blink - Outdoor Wired 1080p Security Camera with Floodlight, or any other product to be the cause of your electrocution!!
All being said the Blink - Outdoor Wired 1080p Security Camera with Floodlight was easy to install - I was just having a "duh" moment that I'm sure my Father in Law is still chuckling about.
After hardware installation, simply install the Blink App on your phone and you will soon be synced up with your Blink - Outdoor Wired 1080p Security Camera with Floodlight.
Daytime image and audio quality is good enough. A notch above their blink doorbell cameras would be a good description. But again, the icing on the cake is the spotlight! I like to keep an eye on my car which is parked in the driveway (boooooooo! wife! for eternally claiming the garage!). And at night (or even dusk/dawn) when these babies pop on you instantly know as well as the evil-doer (Texan snicker).
What's even better is the two-way audio on the Blink - Outdoor Wired 1080p Security Camera with Floodlight. Enough to hold a friendly conversation with family members, or a not so friendly one with evil doers (snicker)
The 30 day free trial of their cloud storage is nice. You can review every time a tree limb moves, or an evil doer approaches (snicker- OK I'll stop now) But you CAN attach your own external storage via the Blink Sync module which is sold separately. The module is marketed at those with multiple devices by Blink. Sort of a command center if you will. And it is there that you plug in your USB device, and where your other devices get their WiFi. Almost a nest system.
Going into it, having the module I thought "I'm not signing up go for yet another subscription." But knowing my footage is safe in the cloud is peace of mind. Plus, everything backs up to the USB storage device connected to the sync module. So that isn't wasted tech.
And yes, there is a siren. And yes, it is loud. Several of my neighbors almost called the police thinking a burglary was occurring. Thankfully I stopped playing with it just in time.
So if you are thinking about getting a floodlight, why not get a camera too??? If you are thinking about getting a camera - go for the floodlights as well! For the price you can't beat it!
JUST DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP IF YOU NEED IT WHEN INSTALLING!

Finally had a nice day to install the Blink Outdoor Wired HD Smart Security Floodlight and Camera. The light and camera were fully assembled and ready to install. I ran to the hardware store and picked up a white 4” round weatherproof receptacle to attach the unit to my stucco wall.
You need either an electrician if that’s what your building code requires, or knowledge of how to get 110v power to the unit. You can hard-wire it with Non-Metallic Wire or a pigtail depending on your setup. I’ve been meaning to put a non-switched outlet in my garage attic, so I hard-wired it in the same J box. That gives the camera and light constant power, which it needs. I thought about adding a switch, but I know which circuit breaker to flip if I need to turn it off. Installing the unit was a breeze. The worst part is standing on the extension ladder. I drilled a hole in the stucco to pass the wire through and attached the 4” receptacle to the stucco with blue tap screws. Then it was just following the instructions by attaching the included light bar, then the center mount and cover.
Once it was installed, getting it up and running on my Android phone was a snap. I already have a Blink Wired Doorbell, so I just added the floodlight to the app. I had the choice of adding it to its own group or to the doorbell group. I chose to create its own group and now I have two tabs at the top of the app. Nice. I don’t have a monthly plan, but I do have the Sync Module 2 installed in my living room and it works great. It takes a few extra seconds to view a clip, but I haven’t had any issues with it once I got it up and running. The floodlight saw the module and I don’t think I had to do anything to sync them. Oh, I did have to do a firmware update when the floodlight first powered up. It didn’t take too long, but I wish they would countdown the time left. Not knowing how long it might take is always bothersome on a new product. Other than that complaint, I’m happy with the performance and look forward to keeping my little spot on this rock a bit safer.
I’d recommend Blink products to anyone wanting to track movement on their property and to try and keep people honest. Nothing will stop a person from stealing or damaging your property if they are dead set to do it, but it may keep someone intent on mischief to choose a different target. And if they do, hopefully, the Blink cameras will have a nice clean mugshot you can download for the police and/or insurance.

This Blink Camera Floodlight is a mouthful. It is wired in that it's hard wired to 120V AC for power but it connects wirelessly to your home network. The HD refers to the camera resolution, 1080p. And smart - you can setup and get alerts via Blink's smartphone app in addition to two-way chat, and Alexa control.
Installing this camera/light assembly is relatively straightforward with the major difference being that te install is like that of a typical outdoor light which will wire directly to a single phase of your home's electrical service rather than through an AC adapter at the end of a 50 or 100ft cable that carries power and video. In some ways, having the camera be powered directly, or at least close to the installation location is great, no need to figure out potentially tricky routing inside the house or drilling new holes. But the tradeoff, you need a nearby junction box for a circuit that can take an additional device and wifi that will reach the light. Which kind of positions this as a replacement for an existing outdoor motion activated light. The housing design even follows through on this as the wiring can't be hidden inside. So you'd need to route it and take up slack inside conduit or the electrical box.
Once wired, setup is pretty straightforward. Even if you haven't used Blink in the past, almost all of these follow the same process. In that regard, it's no different from a battery powered outdoor camera. From the app, you go to setup a new floodlight camera scanning the QRcode from the manual. This let's the app connect to the floodlight and then goes through pairing it to your wireless network. From the app, you can then independently control each light, view a live feed from the camera, and of course configure settings for automatic detection, alerts, and alarms via the siren.
As is usually problematic for me, a lot of functionality or control over functionality is gated by Blink servers. As in you need to have an authenticated account before the app would allow you to use or configure the floodlight. So even though over normal use, almost no data needs to leave your home network, you still need Blink, whether you pay for a subscription or not, in order to operate your camera.
That said, video quality is good. Night time recordings are better than most due to being able to turn on the bright floodlights. I tried out the two way and it works well though people at the camera needed to talk a bit loud to be heard well. It's also not that great for two way conversations at night as people are looking into the light though one is probably using that feature to warn off people than to chat. The siren works though I'm not sure if it will truly be a deterrent. I don't get the sense it would prompt neighbors to do much beyond noting they heard a sound. But up close, it at least let's those in the home know something may have happened. Also, unlike motion control floodlight, this one actually has a person detection feature, so less worry about it triggering from normal trees or cats or cars that sometimes trigger floodlights.
I think the camera does a decent job. I like not having to worry about a battery. Given that my wifi doesn't have a battery backup and this doesn't have on-board storage, having a battery backup doesn't make sense. I don't mind the presence of additional features behind a subscription thought still prefer devices I can fully use without having to be logged in somewhere. Still, this earns a decent 4 stars from me.

I already have blink cameras and this wireless spotlight is a great addition to the set. Since i have been a long time customer, i have cloud recording free as well.
If you are a first time blink customer, then local storage is free. The spotlight is bright enough and the night vision records come out to be great.
Pros
-----
1. Wireless
2. Cheap
3. Can add on to existing blink set of cameras
4. Decent night vision.
5. Decent motion sensing
6. Battery lasts long
Cons
------
1. The video quality may not be as good as some of the wired competitors Or wireless such as arlo
Details
----------
Build quality
-----------------
Like all blink cameras, the build quality is pretty decent. The camera is water proof and all weather. It also shows you the temperature outside.
Setup
-------
Straight forward, just download the blink app and follow directions. You will need to scan the QR code on the camera to add it.
Usage
--------
The camera can be activated directly through the app. The camera can be setup to arm/disarm during a set time and you can also set the zone which need to be monitored for movement.
When the camera senses the movement it lights up the subject. The camera does not follow the subject as in some other competitors.
The duration of recording can also be configured in addition to retrigger of recording and i think this is a great feature.
The battery does last about a year. Since it is wireless, no drilling inside the house.
For the price and ease of setup, i think the camera is a decent buy.

I owned Blink wireless cameras prior to the company's acquisition by Amazon. They're a budget-friendly, practical, and decent alternative to pricier security camera options. This is my first foray into their wired cameras.
The video quality, sound, and motion alerts are similar to what I'd grown accustomed to in their wireless cameras, which either says a lot about their wireless cameras or makes you wonder why this couldn't have included a wireless/solar option. Unfortunately, for consumers, Blink moved to a subscription model so to really get the most out of your Blink devices/floodlight, you'll need to pony up for an annual subscription fee (but local storage options are still available as long as you purchased one of their local storage modules).
Overall the motion sensors do their job and trip the light/recording reliably. Video quality is sufficient to figure out who/what tripped the motion sensor. As with any outdoor motion sensor, expect a lot of false alarms. The benefit of this being wired is that the false alarms won't drain the batteries like they do in the wireless cameras.

Love this!! The lights are really bright. I had to turn them down in the app or they were blinding. It’s nice to see who’s coming up our deck steps and the picture is extremely crisp and clear.
