Great game. Perhaps the best of this year so far.

Bloodborne is this year's early candidate for GOTY. It's combat action is second to none, and it will take all your skill and experience to progress. This is not just hacking and slashing your way thru enemies, you must find a way to survive this hellbound world. Plan ahead, and you will be victorious. Run and gun Cod style, and you'll be flipping this on Craigs.

    Best Bloodborne Game Since Bloodborne

Not only can you hack and slash in this game, but you can hack and slash away at your enemies and friends alike in this exciting new addition to the Bloodborne line of combat simulation games. Please step right into the world of Yharnam and increase your reputation among the notoriously shut-in citizens of the town to eventually win the election for mayor of Yharnam!

BLOODBORNE - FromSoftware does it again.

    Posted .

BLOODBORNE is the game that every Demon's Souls and Dark Souls fan hopes it would be.. Fresh, new, amazing, and different.. but somehow still very familiar to those games. Unlike the Souls games, BLOODBORNE takes on a different approach in combat - a more, in your face type of approach. There isn't many shields in this game, so you rely more on dodging, and counter-attacks. I recommend this to anyone that want's to play a game that is tough and rewarding, and doesn't just hand you victory. I also recommend this game to any Demon / Dark Souls fans, as FROMSOFTWARE and Hidetaka Miyazaki has made another master-piece.

    A Must-Play for any Action/RPG fan

In the past I steered clear of FromSoftware’s Souls game by reputation alone. The idea of playing a game where death came fast and often didn’t exactly appeal to me. However, once I cleared my backlog during the quarantine I needed something new to play. Bloodborne was on sale at BestBuy.com so there were no more excuses. I couldn’t be happier I gave this game a shot as it’s now among my Top 10 favorite games of all time. The atmosphere and sound design in this game is top notch as is the graphics even for an early PS4 game BB is a looker. The real standout is the combat, it’s fast paced and rewards an offensive play style which as I understand differs from most of the Souls games. There are over 20 weapons to choose from and each one has a tricked version that makes them versatile and fun to use. The hunter axe was my starter weapon and was useful the entire game among a handful of other swords and guns. The game is challenging sure but rewarding. Losing blood echoes (the in-game currency for leveling up and purchasing items) every time you die is frustrating at first but you learning from your mistakes is so rewarding especially during the boss fights. They are easily my favorite part of the game, each one demands your attention as you learn their patterns and when to dodge and to attack. Beating them is so satisfying and keeps you going throughout the experience. I could go on and on but if you’re an Action/RPG fan and haven’t played this game so yourself a favor and give it a look. The DLC is just as awesome with 5 more bosses and additional weapons and well worth the price of admission once you’re done with the main campaign.

If you're new to Souls series, chances are you'll contemplate a lot on rage quitting the game. Don't! The game is brutally tough for the beginners, but it becomes addictive gradually. And you won't be able to stop thinking about it. I haven't played any of the Souls games before, so I'm new to the genre. It took some for me to get into the game, but now I'm totally hooked.

The first time I played this game, I as blown away but it. The atmosphere, setting and gameplay are unmatched by any other game. Bosses and enemy's are hard, brutal at time, but that's what makes this game fantastic. I seriously can't recommend it enough, do yourself a favor and purchase it. This is the best reason to get a PS4. Don't pass it up (unless you hate battling large spiders and snakes...)

I’ve actually already owned this game since 2017. Just bought another copy for a gift. SO MUCH CONTENT Oozing with atmosphere and details Fluid and tactful combat Challenging! But fair. Massive replayability DLC is massive and WELL worth how much content it gives. This game came out in 2014 and the community is STILL active! I have no issues finding people to co-op or pvp with. If you like RPGs and a challenge this is so so so worth the money!

I've been playing this game since it released and I gotta say, I'm in love with Bloodborne. This game is the latest game from the "Souls" series, but more like a spiritual successor. It's made from the same company that developed Demon Souls and Dark Souls 1 and 2. If you have played any of those games then this will feel familiar to you. While the previous games took a "slow and steady" approach with the combat, Bloodborne is faster paced, dropping the shield for a gun. Less weapons and armor to collect, but more customization for your weapons. Also, each weapon can transform into a different type of weapon. You can equip up to 2 right hand melee weapons and 2 left hand firearms. This is effectively the equivalent of running into battle with 6 different weapons at the ready. If you are looking for a story, it's there, but you have to piece the story together yourself. You'll have to watch the cut scenes, read the item descriptions, talk to NPCs and all of that good stuff. Even then the story is open to interpretation. This game does not hold your hand. It won't tell you where to go next. After you progress a little through the game, you'll find that there is no set order for you to do things. You may find yourself running around looking for what's next. I accidentally even walked into a boss area one time. If you find yourself wondering what to do next, then you can spot help from other players via message notes, which leads us into the multiplayer. The multiplayer is where this game truly shines, imo. While you are not directly connected to other players, you can leave notes behind to warn other players of an ambush up ahead the road, or a hidden item on the side of the hill covered in tall grass. Messages can be left to inform play players of a useful tactic for the area boss, or even just as a joke. You can find tombstones which replay how a player died in their final moments. You can co-op with up to 2 other people and even set up a password in the in-game network settings to connect with specific people (You both have to have the same password.) You can invade another player's world to find and take them down, or even be invaded yourself. With all that said, the multiplayer definitely could use some tweaking with. Sometimes I can connect with my friend rather quickly, other times it might take 20 minutes or just act like it doesn't want to work. If the connection issues can be fixed, this game would be a solid 5 stars for me. This is a game where you will die over, and over, and over again. Once you die, you loose your experience points which are called blood echoes. These points are used to live level up your character, upgrade your weapons, and buy items from the shop. The good thing is, once you die, you can still get them back. You just need to make your way back to where you died at and collect your points. Sometimes, an enemy will walk over your blood echoes and absorb them. You'll know because the enemy will have purple glowing eyes. At this point, you must defeat the enemy to get your points back. In the event that you do die before you can get your points back, say bye-bye to all of that. They're gone forever. It may seem like a lot in the beginning, but later on, you'll find that it won't take you that long to get back to how many blood echoes you once had. This game may beat you down in the beginning, but if you can hang in there and make it pass the first major boss, you'll truly see how the game opens up and delivers.

A fantastic and challenging game. The combat is similar but also different enough from that found in the Dark Souls franchise, that if you enjoy those games, you will find a lot to like here.

This is basically Dark Souls meets Monster Hunter. Which is fine but just not my type of game. I heard so much about it that I decided to give it a try, for only $20 bucks you can't go wrong.

Bloodbourne is the best action hack em up this year. Endowed with gorgeous visuals, death never looked so good. Why? Because you will be dying a lot in this game. But be encouraged, there are tactics that you will eventually learn to overcome the difficulty. Bloodbourne is a fantastic ride.

Bloodborne is a game of skill. Every turn requires the player to be ready to fight, run, counter, or just hide until you gather your nerves. The overall games atmosphere is amazing. A vast variety of villians are ready to take you down. Be careful! You can't just mash buttons and" hope for the best." This is not that type of adventure. I highly recommend Bloodborne to you for one key reason. This game will make you realize most other titles are developed to be easy. You have to earn your trophies here.
