Fantastic game. They really capture the retro feel of the original Nintendo NES with this game.

Purchased this last year on PS4 and happy to see a physical release on the switch. This is good ol' old fashion fun. It's throw back to the 80's Castlevania games. If the $30 asking price is too much for this physical copy, then buy a digital copy for about $10. You will not be disappointed if you're a fan of the old Castlevania games. Gameplay is well done and the game requires multiple play throughs to get the full story/variations.

This is a really fun 8/16bit action game. It is in the style of old Castlevania games and the developers did an awesome job. Playing on Veteran provides a solid challenge and there is an unlockable level to play after beating the game on a higher difficulty. The game is significantly cheaper digitally but this physical edition comes with a manual and overall is a really nice pickup.

Super hard yet rewarding Castlevania-esque platformer

A welcome appetizer from the father of the modern Metroidvania. This a great game to play for fans of the genre or for those looking for a primer before Ritual of the Night. Everything here is very solid regardless of platform. Check this one out and of course a physical version is the way to go.

This game is an NES style castlevania game that is meant to expand the lore of the main game Bloodstained. It can be played as a standalone game though. If you enjoyed bloodstained and dont mind playing a game that looks like an NES game then this is a great addition to the story.

This game plays and pays tributes much like a classic castlevania game, i really enjoyed it and if you enjoy classic old school style gameplay and graphics then I would recommend this game. Especially if you are looking forward to playing bloodstained: ritual of the night.

Another fantastic release by Limited Run Games. This Indie platformer is reminiscent of the NES style Castlevania games with some modern features. Play as several different characters with different abilities and view different game endings depending on chosen character.

THIS GAME BRINGS BACK SO MANY MEMORIES FROM ONE OF MY FAVORITE "GENRES" IN VIDEOGAMES. THE 8-BIT GRAPHIC STYLE OF THE GAME FITS PERFECTLY WITH THE SWITCH. ALSO, THIS IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF WHAT A GOOD CROWD-SOURCING GAME SHOULD LOOK LIKE WHEN DONE RIGHT.

Great game! It has all the ingredients that back an amazing castlevania game, I love the graphics style used and the variety of characters to play. The game could be a little longer, but it’s replay value is high. Also nice to have it in physical form.

It’s like playing a game made right after Castlevania 3 for the NES. Graphics and sound are spot on to late 80s 8 bit gaming. Fun game and game mechanics had me playing it through start to finish. Game seems a little shorter than I would have hoped though

Picked this up digitally when it came out, and was happy to see it get a physical release. Short game, but lots of replay-ability. If you are a fan of old school games like Castlevania on NES (especially Castlevania 3) then pick this up.

Classic Castlevania style game. It’s a bit short but still very fun. Glad I waited for the physical version although you can buy it digitally much cheaper. I figured this might be hard to find later on so I had to add it to my collection!

Awesome old school side scrolling gameplay. If you like the original Castlevania games, you will absolutely love this. Also, a great prequel for the new Bloodstained series.

This game is essentially an enhanced version of Castlevania 3. It is made with 8-bit style graphics and much smoother game play than C3 was on the NES. It's pretty much an unofficial Castlevania 3 remake. Definitely worth picking up!

This game feels just like a classic game. There are four characters to use and they all have different abilities which can make them strong against certain enemies. The music is fantastic and the challenge is just right.

Great game, this game really does capture the spirit of NES Castlevanias particularly the third one. I love the art and retro pixel look and the gameplay is air tight, if you like retro games definetly pick this up.
