I got the Switch verson solely for the Steelbook case, but was a bit disappointed with it not being an actual custom case for a switch game, but just a regular steelcase for a CD/DVD with a plastic case holder inside for the switch game, but even that doesn't even fit snug in the case. The game as of launch for the switch is a bit of a disappointment as well with all the bugs and glitches. I would say if you really want this version to wait till it's patched up or till the price goes down. In the meantime if you own any other console or PC get it there for now.

Surprisingly fun game with a little bit of a learning curve, def requires patience but this is really a great game for people who want to think a little bit about strategy in a fast-paced headspace with lots of cool effects and gore, good storyline but honestly this is best played in a frenzy and for the cost this is a good time at a low price, can’t go wrong. Not really for kids though.

This game is one of the best one i have play. the controllers are so easy and the game is amazing.

Its what I expected from Igarashi's castlevania successor but the switch version is a bit rough. Its playable bit noticeably lower performing than the other versions. They've said fixes are incoming, so I hope thos can become the 5 it so deserves.

This game is still awesome even if it's a hit & miss on the switch version. Thankfully it's patched enough for performance. But hey, if you want portability, still recommend it. And since I got this on the holidays, great value for it!

Bloodstained for the Switch has quite a few performance issues. It's a great Metroidvania as a base game, but the Switch version isn't as smooth as other options.

Buggy. Slow. But fun when it’s working right. If you like Castlevania you will like this. But if you have any other console that version is likely better! Hopefully this gets fixed in an update

If this is your only choice for gaming system , this is a pretty good game. Controls are iffy on the joy-cons and the pro controller. Yes, compared to the Xbox/ps4 versions the graphics are inferior but that didn’t take away from the fun

If you like the exploration based Castlevania games this is a game you’ll really enjoy, having said that the performance is questionable on Switch right now. The developer has already promised to get the game in better shape soon though.

This is Castlevania in everything but name. They hammered a lot of the bugs out of the switch port as well. When Konami won't give you what you want you get bloodstained. It's literally legally different enough castlevania.

Not the optimal way to experience the game, and after the latest patch it still feels like there are still some problems. However, the game is really great despite all these problems, would recommend for any metrovania fan!

This game really give you the nostalgic feeling of Castlevania symphony of the night and Aria of sorrow mixed together. Miram (the main character) absorbs power from defeated enemies similar to Soma from Aria of sorrow. And the overall secrecy of how to beat the game kind of reminds me of symphony of the night. Castlevania fans (especially metroidvania fans) you definitely should buy this.

I saw this game on the internet and at first it didn’t look too good but after reading some reviews about it I decided to buy it since it was on sale. Well, I am totally satisfied even though it was the first time I played it but it kept everyone in the family entertained the whole evening. A lot of action and good graphics makes it a really enjoyable experience.

Love playing these retro games on the Switch, but the graphics downgrade and persistent issues (despite a few updates) make this an inferior, but still fun, version.

If you’re looking to scratch that Castle Vania itch. This is definitely what we’ve been waiting for. However fantastic this game is, the Switch port had a bumpy start but is getting updated to improve the gameplay.

It's a fantastic game, but I'd wait until end of July to pick it up, since currently the Nintendo Switch version has some lag and loading time issues. I know they're looking to patch it mid July so I'd wait until this patch cleans up some issues before purchasing. That said, I didn't encounter too many issues, and the game is still amazing...but I did encounter things nonetheless.

It's got good gameplay and replay value but it's just not the best version of the game, I'd say it's still worth it if you only have a Switch but if you have any other option go with that instead of this version.

It's great to see a game by the Castlevania series creator. HD graphics, and fun 2D exploration and action. Only complaint is that it looks better on other consoles. Not sure why since it's just a 2D side scoller.
