I really enjoyed Symphony of the Night, and Bloodstained brings all of that goodness back. It plays very smoothly at a high frame rate on the Xbox Series X, with quick load and save times. I've had fun with crafting and inventory management, you could call it SOTN v.2, music is great too. Worth a pick up.

While not based off of the Castlevania games, this Kickstarter spiritual successor is a great game to play through. While it is available currently on Xbox Game Pass, not everyone has a membership and it won't be available there forever.

If you like classic CASTLEVANIA games, YOU WILL LOVE THIS! Just like the title says, it's a super beefed up castlevania from it's original creator. Five years in the making, totally worth it!

Fun game similar to symphony of the night in how smooth the controls are and the fun gameplay elements that make it feel like a true successor

This game has been so fun for me to play. Obviously hearkens back to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, so if you enjoy that type of exploration/combat/RPG then this is a game for you. The game has crashed on me 5 or 6 times in the 30 or so hours I have played it, so save your progress often!

This game takes a lot from the Castlevania series of games, if you have played Castlevania: Simphony of the Night that is were this game took inspiration, it's a 3D side-scroller, as you unlock new abilities it allows you to progress, the game has plenty of different weapons and magic attacks. The game has multiple endings and for an indy game it's a good buy. I'm looking forward to a sequel.

If you’re an old school Castlevania fan, you’ll definitely love this game. Picked it up on sale but definitely worth the retail price. Actually double dipped on this game as I have it for the PS4 also. That’s how good it is

If you've played any Castlevania games since Symphony of the Night on either the GBA or DS or if you played Symphony of the Night itself, that's about what you're getting here. A real Igavania by the master himself, and one of the best in a sea of modern metroidvanias.

Koji Igarashi has created the best Metroidvania since Symphony of the Night. Gameplay is fun, there's 3 endings, and all future DLC will be free. If you've been itching for another Castlevania type game, you can't go wrong with this.

If you liked Castlevania SOTN, you will really like this game. Just be warned, it is a difficult game, you have to level up to advance in this game.

While I'm only part way through the game, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a great game for those who enjoy the so-called metroidvania style of game. I would play one of these every year if they made one!

Got this game for my brother who loves Castlevania symphony of the night. He said it’s not as good as Castlevania but it’s as good as you can get without it being Castlevania.

Made by the director of Castlevania, it keeps the same feel of the side-scrolling action popularized by the PC Engine and PlayStation 1 games with 3d graphics. Easily the best version of all 3 to own.

Awesome game if you like 2D Metroid/ Castlevania games. As a fan of the DS trilogy and Symphony of the Night this was a must buy for me. Gameplay is excellent and graphics will pop on your 4k display.

Since konami isn't doing anything with the castlevania license it's good to see one of its creators making a similar game. Watch out for patch 1.2

If you like Castlevania, you will love this game. The graphics are great and the gameplay is very fun. Definitely not a Mighty No. 9 situation.

I'm not into very many modern games but this game has me hooked. If you're a fan of Metroidvania games then definitely pick this one up.

A lot fun to play, nice visuals and a good current gen spiritual successor to 8 bit classics for fans of Metroidvania platformers.

It's a great game by the original mind behind Castlevania. Great graphics, familiar gameplay, gothic style presentation. Not as memorable as the classics that inspired it, but a welcome addition to the genre.
