Synthy, atmospheric, dreamy, and sometimes dark, but not too dark. I don't listen to this exact genre of music very much, but it's a nice change of pace and easy to listen to. Some compare it to 1980s nostalgia, but I only partially agree with that: It's a fresh take on some 1980s synth styles, but certainly not canned. The CD and case came in great condition and I had a wonderful shipping experience. My delivery came one week early, a most pleasant surprise, and the four different albums in my order came together and PROPERLY PACKED (another plus).

Beach House's "Bloom" was an unexpected top 10 hit in 2012. What's more remarkable are the songs: "Myth," "Lazoli," and "Other People" are instantly accessible and, yes, pop. But it's also adventurous, particularly on one of their finest moments, "Wild." Like their previous album "Teen Dream," it's an album that takes time to sink in though gets better with every listen.

Beach House's cd Bloom is an beautifully crafted albumn that takes you back to the sounds and lyrics of the early electronic 80's bands. The music transcends time and the lyrics reflect a growth in the bands progression.

Just saw Beach House in concert and sounded great. I went because of how much I like this album (and Teen Dream) Every song is amazing on Bloom

Excellent, ethereal album. It's definitely required listening and easily enjoyed by anyone.
