I'm sorry to say that we're not using these as phones yet, so I can't comment on that. (Because my family and I haven't agreed on a plan yet.) However, my daughter loves her device for everything else. The processor seems much, much better than on the BLU Life X8. She uses a lot of apps, and they all run smoothly, and load quickly. The camera's images are good. The phone comes with its own thin silicone case and screen protector, which is helpful, because it was difficult to find accessories for the previous BLU product.

    Blu Life Max Review

I recently purchased this device during the 3 day sale, and was able to use $10 coupon from Best Buy. My previous device was an LG K7, which was smaller, and had less features. This comes loaded with Android 6.0, and setup took about 5 minutes, Make sure you know your accounts info, when transitioning to new device. Phone clarity is A+, and T Mobile 4G works great in Central NJ area. I am not a data hound, and Wi-Fi works great in my home. Device automatically connects when available, and I have the option to use Wi-Fi calling. I am not a tech guy, but I ran a speed test and ping was 17 ms, download was 37.39 mbps, and upload was 5.78 mbps. I downloaded Need for Speed, and the graphics looked great, played well. Device fully charges in 3 hours, lasts for about 1 1/2 days of moderate use. Speakerphone while driving was clear, no issues. For a person who needs an everyday phone, the Blu Life Max will work for you. The 5.5 screen is bright, and YouTube videos play really well. I do not have Netflix, but was able to watch a movie using Amazon Video with no problem. This is my first Blu device, and have gotten used to their features. Some things I noticed but not a deal breaker: power charger on top of phone, volume rocker and power button are too close together, speaker is on bottom of phone- but sound is good. Pictures are decent, but going on vacation I would not use this as a primary camera. Device came with a hard plastic case, earphones, and a screen protector(not tempered glass) . I will look for a better screen protector when they are available. Overall great value if you are budget conscious, and refuse to pay $$$$ for a smartphone. PS. This includes a fingerprint sensor, that I have not used as of yet.

This is a very solid phone for the price. I love how BLU packages all their phones with screen protectors, phone covers and audio headphones. The battery is really good on this (I can get about a day and a half in with regular app/game use)--the battery lasts even longer if you leave the phone on standby. Though, I will say that my BLU Studio Energy 2 did hold a longer charge with active use--but that phone is 2 yrs old now. Pictures are good. If you are looking for high quality pics--this is not your phone. Speakers are on the bottom of the phone instead of the back, which is great for music listening, but I've struggled with hearing people while using speaker phone options. Overall, this is a solid phone and I'd recommend if your looking for something essential, useful and not looking to break the bank.

Fantastic features for the price. Although it's a budget fine it does all things well. Love the finger print reader which instantly unlocks phone.Decent camera which actually takes great macros which is perfect for the work I do. Fairly light and compact for a 5.5 inch screen with an extended life battery. Great multi-tasking ability and hasn't crashed once.

Has a few minor issues, but I dont feel cheated. Customer service isn't that great, but if you get a year or two out of it, no big deal I guess. Was upset over customer service, though life is too short for that. Phone is okay for the money, actually has many cool features for the money.

I got this phone as a "temporary replacement phone" while I fixed the screen of my iPhone. What a sweet surprise...while the wifi range sensor could use some improvement, the phone is great for the average everyday use, from running the apps to retrieve my iPhone contacts and calendar to the way the finger print sensor works is just perfect. The 16gb internal memory with expansion capabilities are appropriate. Not for multi tasking (Run various apps at the same time), screen resolution for watching Netflix, etc. is fine...the weight of the phone feels good and in general, is hard to find a better value for your money phone.

The Blu LIfe Max 4G is one of the best cheap phones I've had. Got it several months ago and it's performed much better than expected. The screen is bright and crisp, it's definitely fast enough for most things, and the battery life is way better than I've been used to. I can actually go up to three days with average use. As with other Blu products I've had, when you get a good one, it's great. When you get a bad one, you swap it out quickly. Their support is barely good enough, but they are responsive.

I've had other Blü phones in the past and this one is not significantly different in quality (good) software (decent) and GPS (poor). Dual SIM is a requirement of mine that this phone meets, and the integration is good. The removable battery would be awesome if there was a source for spares or chargers... The only real negatives are the fact that I'm sure this phone is stuck at Android 6.0 and that the GPS is continually "looking for signal" even on the open road where there should be no problem. For a less than $100 phone, it's awesome.. Do I always expect more? Yes...

A really good phone especially that I got it on sale for way below hundred bucks! Nice bright & clear 5.5 screen, dual SIM,well-functioning fingerprint reader, 2GB RAM, and with Android 6.0 it can make the micro sdhc I put part of the internal memory (which means apps could be installed using the the micro sdhc!). It has great battery life also! It also looks great with the dark blue leather-like back cover. Highly recommended!

Great battery (more than a full day with typical use), screen, speed and runs Android 6, a solid, feature-filled OS version. Built well, too. Had it for over a month now with zero issues, despite the fact that it gets no special care (my butterfingered wife's...she dropped the last one on concrete) For the price, I don't think you can do better. Not a flagship, but very useable everyday.

Having purchased many Blu phones, I'm fairly familiar with their handsets. The Blu Life Max, is a good phone for the money, I would say the biggest weakness, is the Camera. To be fair, you can't expect greatness from an 8 megapixel shooter. To summarize, if you need a low cost phone, that works fine for calls, texting, web, email....This phone is a good buy. However....If your expecting a good camera, you may want to look elsewhere.

BLU to me came out of nowhere. I tried one of this models a few years back and it wasn't that great. Now though in 2017 I bought both this BLU Life Max & a BLU R1 HD. Night and day difference from my earlier experience. Quality-made phones with a close to pure Android experience and not much bloatware. Every time I'm using my 2 BLU phones I marvel at how inexpensive they were vs what I actually received. Quick, beautiful screen, excellent battery life, about average speakers and cameras, front flash for the front camera, good call quality, SCREEN CASTING, HOTSPOT, etc. My only digs about BLU are the lack of 128GB microSD card capable phones and lack of accessories. It can be difficult securing a case and glass screen protector for many BLU products but they are a thoughtful company and usually package a few accessories with the phones they sell. I am LOVING BLU lately!

Phone is a good value with fingerprint scanner and dual SIM unlocked for about $100. Touch screen and processor are not as responsive as my galaxy S6, but again, consider the price point.

this is an ok phone. it can browse the web and play YouTube just fine. the processing speed is comparable to the Galaxy s5 so it's definitely not a powerhouse. calls are clear and a decent volume. the battery will last you the entire day with moderate to heavy use.

Being my first android phone, I didn't want to spend a lot to try out the system. This was a great way to test the waters and I'm not disappointed. Good enough to suit all my needs. Camera could be better but for the cost I paid, I can live with it!
