Great phone for beginners, was birthday gift for daughter.

I bought this phone because I was looking for something cheap to replace my Verizon prepaid Samsung phone. I chose this phone. Once I got home I set the phone up and it wouldn't make any phone calls or text. I restarted the phone, charged it, tried everything and nothing worked. I contacted Verizon and they came to the conclusion that the phone did not work with Verizon prepaid. I asked the sales person who sold me the phone if this phone worked with Verizon Prepaid and he assured me that it did and it also showed in the description on the sales display that it did. I had to take the phone back and get a more expensive phone. This is not a phone that I would recommend

I was on the fence about this purchase. I am happy I made the decision to buy this phone. The selling points are the great display, the 64gb of storage, and of course the price. I will be comparing this Blu V7 to my old phone, a Samsung J3, and the Samsung J7 I was looking to buy, and my brother's old Samsung S7 he offered to sell to me in like-new condition. Of course it is a step up from the J3. It is very comparable to the J7. Surprisingly I am choosing this over the S7. My J3 died. One day the mic was working, the next it wasn't. My headphone jack had been on the fritz. I suspect the two are related. So I needed a new phone and I knew I wanted a bigger screen than the 5" screen of the J3. I had my eye on the J7, and in talking to my brother he also offered his old Galaxy S7 for $140. I was checking out unlocked phones at Best Buy and this phone, the V7, definitely caught my eye. Probably because the big screen. Although 5.7", it is also wide so it seems bigger. In terms of area. You can have a tall, thin screen and still be 5.7" diagonally, but this is a nice wide and tall screen that clocks in at 5.7" so it has a nice big area. The screen and the price are the main selling points of this phone. The 64gb is just extra. I would say the J7 and this phone are very comparable. The V7 still has a bigger screen and is $60 - $100 less depending on where you are buying. This phone is a little sluggish, even compared to my J3. It has some Chinese entry-level processor, a "Spreadtrum". For casual usage the difference is pretty negligible. The audio on the phone is decent. Good volume. A caveat: the headphone jack is pretty terrible. The earbuds that come with it sound bad, my various Skull Candy earbuds sound bad, and even my Sennheiser 380 Pro studio headphones sound bad. My Airpods sound great though do that is what I will be using. Compared to the S7, side by side, the screen is noticably poorer in terms of resolution and contrast. The resolution is poorer for 4k HD and similar, and the contrast difference is mostly just noticable when doing a side by side comparison. I rarely use ultra high def video content, so the bigger V7 screen still wins to the day. I am choosing to the V7 over the J7 because of the screen and price. I am also choosing to the V7 over the S7, because of the 5.7" vs 5.1" screen. Which is interesting because to the S7 was a flagship phone just 3 years ago. I give four stars instead of five because to the poor headphone jack audio quality and the comparatively sluggish performance. Slightly more lag time loading and running apps. But still acceptable because of the display. I cannot speak to the durability of the phone. I fully anticipate breaking it or wanting to update it in a year and a half though anyway, just like all my phones. So, I highly recommend this purchase.

Extremely bad battery only lasts 4 hours without any use. In Venezuela you don't work with the digitel SIM Card?

I dont recommend this phone, not user friendly and has bad reception. I'm going back to Samsung, that for sure!

neede new cell phone,got this one because it was the cheapest of un locked phones, put it on charge overnigth,by the time I get off of work charge is down to 15% and I don't even use it at all,son or hubby sends text ,never recieve it,what gives? Like the saying goes you get what you pay for. guess I"ll have to bite the bullet and spend the money on a new phone,even though I can't afford to.

I bought the phone but is getting bad connection in Tanzania is showing only E instead of 4G.

Bought BLU V7 and got BLU G6 in box , and Best Buy won't price match at the lower G6 price

Battery expanded after 3 months of regular use, no replacement battery available.

Junk, got about 6 months out of it before it kept randomly powering off, even with 100% battery if would automatically shut down then when I powered it back on the battery would be drained, did a factory reset with no luck, Dont buy anything BLU, this was my 2nd and last BLU phone, get a Motorola Moto G Fast, its a good affordable phone with awesome features.
