I saw reviews of people putting this phone down. So I decided to go ahead and do one myself. I've had the phone for about a month now and I use it on cricket wireless. My wife has a Samsung Galaxy S10 that we paid $700 for. I bought this phone for 150 bucks and it does everything her phone can do. I went from a 8 gig phone to the 64 gig storage space. I have so many apps on here now that it's unreal. it doesn't slow the phone down. I'm not running out of space. the camera is great. I saw some people complaining about the 740p instead of 1080p on the phone , omg if you're watching TV on the phone you can't tell the difference between 740p and 1080p on that small of a screen anyway. This phone is great. It is freaking awesome. I've had LG's all the way up to the LG G6 and as I stated before my wife uses the Samsung, she has the S10. I love the phone it's awesome they have a customer for life my next phone will be a blu phone as well. And the complaint about the phone being registered as a G8, it says G8 but it's packaged as a v9 . Look at how many other G8 phones are out there Motorola G8 LG G8. Honestly I just think that is to avoid some confusion with the phones. Anyway I've said enough I love it it's awesome it's the best phone I've had in a while it does everything that way more expensive phones do.

Just picked this phone up yesterday. Love it. I am coming off of a S9+..and I know the specs do not compare on paper. I honestly can hardly tell Im not on the s9 anymore most of the time. The screen is 6.3" very fast and responsive. 4g data works well, I am on Cricket with it. Very impressive phone for 179.99

It's okay, not good or great

This phone is okay for the price, but there's more to dislike than to like, in my opinion. The hardware was falling apart within months of normal use (little pieces of plastic were just falling off the phone for no good reason), and I found the software annoying to use out of the box. I really dislike all the google features that are impossible to disable, and the gimmicky swipe features were both pointless and disfunctional-they were just a bad distraction at best. Also, the interface, which I'm sure is standard on android now, is so lacklustre and hard to use. If I had wanted an iphone with all my apps on the home screen with no organization, I would have bought an iphone. The fact that every time you download an app all of your other apps move around is annoying-I'd rather just not have any apps if I have to search the whole phone every time I want to see the weather! The camera was functional in bright daylight, but any other time it was difficult to get a good shot, and often times there was a significant delay in snapping the picture or the pictures wouldn't even take after pressing the button, which was very frustrating. Another complaint I had is the sound was unwieldy at best-the lowest volume is "silent" and then the next step up is loud! There was no volume gradient, it was either you don't hear your music, or you're at a live concert in the front row. For people who really like screen quality, it's not great, but it isn't bad. You can definitely see the pixels without looking too closely, but this didn't personally bother me. I always used the bluelight filter, and when I turned it off the screen hurt my eyes. I guess the pros are that it was a phone for less than $200 when I bought it, it had an okay battery life (2 days of moderate use on a full charge), and it didn't overheat or randomly die or anything like that. Oh, and I can still get 50 texts from various political campagins every day-that's the real pro to this phone.

Runs efficiently, great call quality, awesome battery life, and a pretty moderate speaker. Terrible camera quality though and using headphones with it the sound quality isn't amazing. Tried tons of different headphones and none brought the sound to an amazing quality.

    Incorrect Blu model number....

This is actually a Blu Vivo XL5. Not sure why it's called a V9 - Blu doesn't make a phone called the V9. At this price, it's not really a good choice. Go for the Blu G9 Pro. It's about the same price, but with MUCH better specs.

The only thing that works properly on this phone is the calling and that's even close to good enough for the price. I'm so disappointed with this. I would have paid $100 more to have a phone that wasn't a piece of junk. Please write reviews when you get bad phones and help warn other people! That's what I'm doing for you!

Bought the phone as a budget unlocked phone for my deployment. With a Tmobile SIM and a local European SIM this phone would not connect to any networks that could access internet. Put my Mobile SIM in my LG G7 and have p problems. Would be better off putting $170 in a burn out before you spend it on this phone....
