Paired with a dampening boom arm, this microphone has been a real workhorse. I've been using it with audacity and in stereo mode, it's impressive especially given the price.

There is a reason that this mic has been one of the most popular among content creators for years. It's easy to use and has delivers quality sound. I did return this mic in exchange for the Blue Yeticaster bundle which includes the same mic, plus a pretty good quality boom arm, and shock mount. It's a way better value than purchasing those items separately.

    Great for our Zoom meetings!

I wanted to use this microphone for zoom meetings so that everyone could be heard. We generally have 25 or less people in a pretty large space, with one person primarily speaking and others speaking up in discussion. This mike picked up all the comments well, with minimal noises from rustling papers, etc. I use it on the omni setting but the cardiod setting has worked well also. It was easily chosen in the audio settings of Zoom app on my PC laptop. My alternative was going to be to use a set of 2 wireless mikes, that connect via a small amplifier box that connects to the USB port. This would have required that the 2nd mike be passed around, and we find the Yeti to be far and away easier than the 2-mike system.

Pros: Great sound Comes with a an easy to follow guide. Best USB mic I’ve encountered for sure. Most of my coworkers comment on how clean my audio is. Cons. Took a little bit of tweaking to get it to work on my computer. Windows 10 user. However, the only reason it initially threw me off was that it tries to set itself as both your audio in and out ( since it has a headphone jack) and so I couldn’t hear anything at first because I didn’t realize that I needed to set my audio out back to my speakers. That only happened on my older computer. Newer computer it just fired right up correctly.

      Hi Mage,

Glad to hear that you're enjoying your Yeti mic. Have you tried using Blue's Sherpa software? It's a free software designed to allow you to tweak and customize your yeti with ease. https://www.bluedesigns.com/products/sherpa/

It's amazing the difference a quality mic makes. This mic does offer you to hear your voice. Most people don't like that and I was in the same camp until I used this. Since there is no delay when you speak, it sounds natural. There are two major advantages I find to this, one you can set the volume level to be the same as if you were talking without headphones on. Second, it lets you know what your voice is doing, very useful if you're attempting to sing, voice act, or any other aspect where you need to know what you sound like. Well worth the cost.

The Yeti is a great microphone. It's crystal clear and easy to setup. My only complaints are that it's a bit bulky and the knobs that tighten it in place seem a bit wobbly. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

Not my first Blue mic purchase but this is definitely the one for podcasts & zooming. Simple to operate, enjoy being able to adjust the gain and eliminate background noise. Also appreciate the weight - no stands needed. I set it beside my laptop, just out of view and it works great from there. Has a much more pleasing audio recordings or zoomcasting than the mic on my laptop.

Best USB Microphone ever! OK, sounds repetitive. But it is true. While podcasting would be fun, one overlooked use is for dictation. I use Dragon on my Mac. I have spent over $1,000 fruitlessly on microphones from Samson, Phillips SpeechMike, Plantronics, and many others. NONE of them are consistent. I have decided the microphone quality is generally quite poor, as is noise rejection. They are generally poorly directional, having immense shifts in frequency response depending how off axis you are. This radically affects recognition with even a few degrees off axis speech. The Yeti, on the other hand, is a very high fidelity microphone, it has tunable directionality, and maintains balance when even significantly off axis. I set it on my desk and can dictate with the best fidelity and accuracy I have ever experienced with Dragon. Dragon now is actually useful. And...it looks way cool on my desk!

Yeti—Great Conference Mic works well on Zoom

Yeti Blue condensing USB mic is perfect for Zoom. Makes my voice sound like a podcast—plenty of volume for all listeners. Has a configuration just for two-person interviews, and conference configuration. Worked well for a long table of six presenters. For the money, this is excellent. Works well on my iMac.

Bought Yeti Blue Microphone for personal use, but recently started using it for work to hold teacher-parent conferences over Zoom. Some of these meetings had to be recorded using software installed on the laptop. The clarity of the recordings were phenomenal. Microphone is very easy to operate and very well made, on the heavy side and large. Overall, I am very happy with this microphone.

As far as USB mics go there really isn't another mic this good for this price point. If you are just starting a podcast or making videos...this is a GREAT choice to get professional level sound without breaking the bank. HIGHLY recommend. It's also super easy to use...plug in and make a few adjustments to the controls right on the microphone and you're off to the races.

The sound on this microphone is excellent for the price. I use it for teaching, and kids' music teacher is also very impressed with the sound. Different settings for types of uses is excellent. Simple plug in using USB. The plug on the bottom is a bit easy to damage, so be careful. Had to have mine replaced, but the company was good about it.

Great all around USB mic. Completely compatible with Windows and Mac. I am one who switch between OS machines often and I carry this mic right with me with no issue. I’ve used this for podcasts, voice overs, and musical recording and it’s done each very well with some adjustments to the settings of course.

More than enough has been said about this mic. Quality/build is solid, great reputation, awesome color on this version. Only thing I'd note (may or may not be a downside) is that this mic is larger than I thought it'd be, in both height and thickness (of the mic itself without the stand). So just reality-check the product dimensions
