Excellent USB mic for podcasting and more!

I was looking for a decent desktop mic for recording my podcast, and this really went above and beyond expectations. I'm a musician, and I'm more used to higher quality mics from Shure/RODE/AKG/etc. This is great value and is worth the extra cash if you really want a cleaner-sounding voice recording. Definitely spring for the pro version over the regular Yeti and the Snowball. The headphone passthrough is also great and is easy to control and the array of patterns is very useful. This won't top a $500+ mic, but for the basics and USB, you can't do much better for the price and ease of use.

Blue Yeti has a long standing reputation of high quality microphones. The Yeti X Pro is no different. Easy to set-up, great sound quality, and looks good too. Any easy addition to any casting set-up.

Purchased this for zoom calls. It makes a difference. It’s easy to confirm with zoom as you can test each microphone with play back. A nice way to confirm the high quality of the Blue Yeti.

Its a decent mic with a good amount of features but there are other microphones on the market that sound just as good for a lot less like some of the Fifine microphones. Of course if you're buying this microphone do not expect to get xlr quality out of it since its a usb mic.

Phenomenal product. Price is comparable to quality. Excellent ease of use, plug and play. Excelent with qualifying software. Included software is not impressive. Not bad for a digital mic.

Love the quality of this microphone - it has really improved the audio for zoom/skype/MS teams calls. The other big tip that has helped me - plug your computer into your router directly - use an ethernet cable instead of relying on WiFi! The multifunction button on the front takes a bit of getting used to - but once you know what the icons stand for it works great! The button on the back dictates the microphone mode - please set it correctly for the usage scenario - just takes a few minutes of reading, but really improves the sound quality. Finally - this mic is super sensitive and can pick up the sound of the A/C or fans - so make sure you're in a quiet space when using.

Very very nice. I am most satisfied with this mic. I record for myself since I am a novice guitar player, mostly chording. And I record and play back and find out where are my weak points that I need to work on. This is very guitar educational for me. It really helps. Of course I can do all of the other with it also. I have not tried to record myself yet on my drums because I'm very competent there, but I will at some point just to see. Thanks much, I am really enjoying this

OK - these things are not cheap. I bought them because they were the last "good" microphones in stock about two weeks into the shutdown. We use them for online classes and our pandemic podcast. The recordings are mostly done by my students, from their homes - probably connected to computers in their bedrooms - nothing fancy. They've done a LOT of interviews over the summer. The difference in sound quality between their side (with the Blue mics) and their guests (using whatever they have at home) is phenomenal. Studio-quality sound with just a good microphone! Well worth the price if you want your voice to sound good on any call or recording.

I was a little scared ordering this. However as soon as I plugged some headphones up into this bad boy I realized just how much sound it will take it!! I can understand why ASMR artists use this app-- you can hear every little thing that I did. Using it in discord it wasn't as accurate (mainly due to discord muffling background noise) so if you don't want background noise this is just as good. There are a lot of different settings you can mess around with depending on the use of it, and Im very happy that I decided to try a Yeti mic.

Overall, this is a reasonable microphone and the sound quality is great when it works. I have two major complaints though that pretty much ruin it. My first complaint is the micro USB cable. On their old version, Blue used a USB mini connector but they switched to micro on this one. The new cable is constantly losing connection and the microphone cuts out. I never had this problem with the old style. For something the size of this microphone (it's not small), there was really no reason for them to switch to the smaller connector (and honestly they probably should have used a full-size connector for even more robustness). The second area this microphone takes a step backward from the older model is the mode selector. The button is on the back of the microphone and it is simply a pushbutton. If you aren't careful, you will accidentally push this button and switch it to omnidirectional. Suddenly, the microphone is picking up all kinds of background noise and you may not realize it. The older model had a physical knob that had to be rotated. No accidental mode switches, but even better you could adjust it without looking once you learned the position. Combined with the cable that doesn't stay connected, this pretty much guarantees the sound will cut out constantly as you flip the microphone around to make sure you are in the correct mode. Even placing this on the front of the microphone would have been a huge improvement. Sound quality is supposedly better than the old version, but certainly not enough to justify the downgrade in usability. I stopped using this after less than a month and cannot possibly recommend it to others. It only gets the second star because it is a good microphone when it is working properly.
