I used to be an avid player of World of Warcraft from 2004-2010. Though I know some people still play it, it’s just not as popular as it was back in the day. Regardless, this microphone and it’s features brought back some of that desire. Besides the colors, logo and glyphs that adorn the dials and base, it has a ton of special audio effects and samples to go along with it. As for a microphone in general, it picks up really well and has a lot of settings that can get you the sound you desire. The Blue Vo!ce setting alone gives that professional edge to your voice. From Broadcaster to hollow sounding AM and anything in between. The polar patterns helps isolate the voices that you intend to pick up whether it is just you or people all around the microphone. The effects that are included range from changing your voice into a gnome, orc, imp or the Lich King to just sounding like you are in the Cathedral of Light or King’s Chamber. It also includes non Warcraft themed effects like robot, witness protection and gender switch. Also in the G-Hub software you can customize every light aspect on the microphone, even though they are fairly subtle in size. This includes the metering lights around the adjustment knob and all of their individual functions, the button and the 4 indicators on the back that display which polar pattern is selected. I really wished that the glyphs on the base also had a lighting option though, as they are only etched in. With the software you also get a large amount of WoW audio samples that can be mapped to a keyboard key to be played on que. This includes ambient audio from various regions within the game, some phrases from notable characters and various sound effects to include the Murloc. The build of the microphone is solid and professional looking. The base is surprisingly heavy and if you rather use a boom there is threading for that as well. You also have a 3.5mm audio jack so that you can have direct monitoring and control of a multiband EQ to customize your gaming audio through the G Hub application. Overall this is a very solid and professional USB microphone that allows you to give a little homage to one of the most popular MMORPGs ever.

As a "moderately casual" gamer and streamer, I've considered many different items to have a "quality" and "fun" stream atmosphere. When it comes to microphones amongst streamers, more times than not you hear about Blue being a brand name that many are satisfied with and would recommend. As I am a tester of this product, it would be just as easy to say that this product is perfect all around. But as a consumer of computer and electronic products, this microphone has mostly everything someone who streams would ever want in a quality product, which I think lives up to this product being "perfect" for any streamer or gamer. Or both! Firstly, right out of the box, I did not expect this microphone be as high quality as it is. The "feel" of it is just amazing and I'd suspect most people would know just by the weight of it that they're getting a well built product. With that said, the "look" of this microphone is also amazing. As a casual gamer who is a fan of many different series, the detailed look of this microphone would make any fan of World of Warcraft, or just Warcraft in general, feel pretty giddy! Setting this microphone up initially is pretty simple - It's just "plug and play." You may have to go into your sound and microphone settings to change inputs and outputs, but that should be a given for any gamer or streamer. In order to have access to the full features and customizations, like the vocal effects and voice modulation settings, you can have Logitech G Hub installed. This allows to have access to pre-set settings, which can then be tweaked to your liking. However, particularly with this product, when streaming - and gaming with friends - I'm finding myself very much enjoy the voice effects that can be utilized, such as "Demon", "Orc", and "The Lich King" the most. No matter what type of streamer and or gamer you may be, just to have a fun stream with viewers or when gaming with friends, or both, I would recommend this product without hesitation. There isn't really a bad thing about this after using it for a few days and testing it out with my stream audience, and I don't foresee that being the case with this product. Awesome product, Blue. I hope to see some more like this in the future!

I obtained this microphone for less than the price of a regular Yeti X, close to the price of a standard Yeti. It seems sturdier than the Yeti X. Not really recommended for travel, and the desk mount is not shock-canceled. If you just want a desk-mounted streamer mic the HyperX quadcast includes shock reduction. It does mount into a boom arm well enough but it's not lightweight so don't get the thinnest and cheapest arm out there. I like it because (aside from the price I paid) this is a flexible-use design tuned specifically for speaking. You can capture yourself alone, add a person directly across from you, capture with left-right stereo movement OR use it as a 360 pickup. If you don't need the flexibility get a cheaper directional mic, or if you need a mic for singing or instruments purchase a better quality specialized microphone. Yetis are great but they are not true studio mics. The included software does the job on a Windows PC, and you can profile your microphone to fit your voice and environment a little better....that's it. I haven't really used the special WoW-related software but it may be fun for someone else to play with. If you have serious issues with echoing or background noise either get a cardioid headset mic or work on the room itself instead of expecting a new mic to fix the problem. At full price or close to full price the Yeti X is 'okay'. It absolutely does the job very well but does not feel like a bargain. You could still get far worse by going cheaper if you don't know what you need. And approaching the $200 line it becomes worthwhile to look into more expensive professional solutions if quality is worth spending extra. I clearly recommend it on when on sale.

This mic has been nothing but amazing. Whenever I join a random discord for whatever reason I get the “you sound like a radio announcer” that’s how you know your mic is good. Easy to control, lots of features, the voice changer is gimmicky but kinda fun for 5 seconds every new moon, and I use voice meter banana for software but it does a good job not picking up keyboard clicks and stuff like that if properly set up.

I am very confused why no one is buying this World of Warcraft edition Blue yeti x. It is $70 cheaper then the regular Blue yeti x. It has a beautiful finish and the gold coloring looks amazing. The mic is an amazing piece of tech. Easy to use controls on the mic and a suit of programs to use with it. Plus this version comes with WOW specific software.

Wonderful microphone. I was hesitant to start at this price point since I'd be using it mostly for hobbies (online D&D, some game chat), and occasionally for work, but it's definitely a step up from any headset/webcam mic I've ever used. I was a little confused at first as it came with no instructions other than an infographic sheet a la Ikea that just shows pictures of the knobs, but it became easier to understand once I downloaded the accompanying software, Blue VO!CE, which is a part of Logitech G HUB (same ownership). The presets are fun for what I use them in, as are some of the sound clips. Coming from someone with little WoW knowledge, most of the sounds will never be touched by myself, but I like they they came bundled with it. Aesthetically, it's way ahead of others as the black/matte gold color scheme is more my style. The numbers/pips around the knob to show sound levels/gain adjust are replaced with runic symbols and I dig it. Being able to adjust the colors with RGB wheel in the software is nice too. I wish there was a little more handholding with instructions, but nothing I can't figure out by playing around or reading online.

A quality product blue yeti will never let you down i enjoy the extra options it carries and the different color combo. Wished it wasn’t so expensive but i guess you get what you pay for here. Not an expert on these things but blue yeti is amazing.

Best mic I have owned to date! (I do a lot of sound work/audio and this is probably the 8th or 9th mic I have used/purchased) Replaced my old Blue Yeti. As soon as I talked in the voice servers I join, everyone could immediately tell the difference between my old Yeti and this one. They thought the voice server had been upgraded because the quality was so good. This thing is super sensitive! My husband and I did some tests by making noise way in the background (several rooms/feet away) and it picked it up! Definitely have to fine tune this a little to make sure it does not pick up every little sound. However, once you find your sweet spot within a few mins of adjusting it, the sound will be amazing. They really made this kind of idiot proof! Highly recommend! Extremely happy with this purchase!

Really great mic for podcasting or broadcasting and it’s very sensitive also tho so make sure your room is well insulated

Setup was extremely easy. Plug and play. Helps to have the logitech software to fine tune things but im really enjoying it. Sound quality is excellent. Just a little bit pricey.

This is a great microphone. Lots of features, easy to use, and upper-mid tier professional quality. With that being said, if you do not stream, do voiceover work, or make music recordings, then you don't need this. Your 50 viewer Twitch livestream would do just as well with a quality headset microphone. If you're doing professional studio work, then why are you looking at a USB microphone? Go get a real XLR. But if you are looking for a simple to use, feature rich, big boy toy, and you have some dividends that aren't spoken for in a budget somewhere, you'll be happy with this fine piece of kit.

Solid microphone with lots of software settings/options. Purchased to use while presenting on Zoom. Very happy with improved sound quality over camera microphone and lower cost USB microphone. Captures excellent voice tone and does not pickup room echo. Software voices are fun for grandkid storytime. Need to have microphone close to mouth for best results--have mine on the desk and it is below the Zoom camera frame so works well.

The mic is very awesome!! I like that I can change my voice witht he the logitech software. The way it looks as this should be a 1000 dollar mic. I orginally got this for 149 dollars then Bestbuy had it on sale for 129 and was able to get the price match. Then few days ago for the deal of the day it was 94 dollars and still within my 45 day period and was able to get the price for 94 dollars. I love this thing!!

I love this microphone! I use it to record audio on my iPhone. The sound is very clean for the price.

I love this microphone. The original Blue Yeti X has simple colors but this one is gray & has the gold accent rings on it. The runes on the microphone also look cool. The best part was that I got this 50% off! The effects that you have to access through the Logitech Hub are also fun to use but my friends get annoyed after awhile when we're playing COD.

Talk about a thing of beauty! You pay the extra money to have something on your desk that others will envy, until they find out the price. It is a bit imposing and if you have the option a mic boom is a good idea Well made and looks and functions very well. I love the sound quality and the associated software is a very nice touch. You can go crazy with all the filtering and eq settings that the software offers.

Mic is very high quality. It has a nice heavy feel to it and doesn’t feel cheap. The pros can also fall under the negatives which is that it’s very sensitive and will pick up any desk vibration or keyboard typing. You can actually see the meter move as I move a finger across my desk smoothly. I’d recommend a boom for it because of this. Sadly the price didn’t justify my use for it but if you’re in the market for too notch near studio equipment then this is for you. The wow addition was a little underwhelming as the effect they had were more side characters instead of the popular ones. Still fun nonetheless
