I love it and it keeps my home air clean and smell free. This unit doubles as a sound machine on full blast so you can get a great night sleep while breathing purified air. HEPA or not HEPA- I honestly don't care because I can tell it clears out cooking smells and stinky dog farts. Great investment. Pro tip: clean the outer sock frequently and you can bypass the filter change warning by a couple weeks.

I purchased this unit to replace a Germgardian which I gave to my girlfriend to use in a smaller room in her house. The Germgardian worked fine but was too small for my needs. The Blue is a fantastic unit for larger areas you wish to purify. This units design is awesome! It is simplistic and amazingly efficient. It does not have the fancy lights, bells & whistles of the other choices available on the market, but this thing at the end of the day blows the others away in terms of the intended purpose of the application. I have dogs & cats like the norm. but I also keep exotic birds. I have an Amazon, African Grey & a Citron Cockatoo ( VERY dusty ) companions. This unit keeps my 3 rooms it sits in dust free & the rooms do smell "different". You WILL be amazed in just 2 weeks how much dust an debris the cloth pre filter collects. Simply remove and toss in your wash machine and air dry. Install your second pre filter and your good to go! The box includes 2 inside to get you started and you may purchase other different colors to suit your decor. The prefilters are well made and are extremely cheap to purchase from Blue. Customer service is also excellent. So, in conclusion, if your the type of person who does not care how "fancy" the unit is and your main concern is a clean, dust free, healthy environment that can very easily handle bigger living areas, this is exactly what you want to spend your hard earned dollar on. You WILL NOT be disappointed! It's AWESOME & works exactly as advertised.

I have used several air purifiers. This is the one I like the most. The air is noticeably fresher when using this purifier. I use this in an area that is open combining living room, dining room and kitchen. I also have one in master bedroom. I smoke and have 2 cats and a dog so I run them 24/7. My partner no longer smells the smoke when he is in another room & states it is significantly less even when he is in the same room. I didn't give it 5 stars because the outside cover (which works as a prefilter) is awkward to put on. It also does not have a sensor to alert you when the air has contaminates. It's very straightforward & easy to use. Extremely quiet on low & medium settings. On high it's noticeable but still much quieter than others I have used.

I've had it for a month. Very positive review on Consumer Reports, which seems consistent with the device and actual use. Seems efficient and effective at removing dust and pet dander from the house. I've placed it in a central location. Quiet on lowest speed, usually keep set to mid, a bit noisy on high, but not too much so. Took it recently on a road trip where I had to stay in a hotel - light, easy to move. Stylish. Seems to be well designed and built.

I’ve been using for over a year now throughout my house. I have a few and I can definitely notice the difference with dust mites and other allergens. I’d be scared to go without now that I have been using. I love my bedroom one especially and the one by my deck door!!

Easy to put together, straight forward, and top performance across the board. The prefilter fabric is easy to clean (with a vacuum during a sweep or in the washer) and put back together. Including two of these in the box makes the cleanups a breeze with minimal interruption to operation. You'll see the difference and the amount of things it picks up just with this prefilter alone. On the inside, this baby packs a punch. Serious airflow on max settings if you don't mind the background noise, otherwise, still a great performer at lower speeds. Pet and kitchen smells dissipate very quickly while in use. I'm currently using this in a room that's slightly larger than 600 sq ft, and the air smells fresh throughout. After 3-5 days after purchase, very noticeable difference. My allergies and asthma have been kept under control (It was driving me crazy daily prior to owning this product). 10/10 would recommend if you suffer from any breathing complications.

After a few days of plugging this in, I stopped taking Allegra daily for my sinusitis. I run this 24/7 except if I open the windows on a good day. About a week or so later, my constant cough & sore throat also improved dramatically. Even though I sleep so much better at night, I ordered & am awaiting the smaller BluePure 411+ for my bedroom. I convinced my son to buy the 211+ for his wife who has bad allergies & a constant cough, most likely in large part due to their 2 dogs & 1 rabbit. He also bought the 411. I don't know if they received them yet but I look forward to their reactions. This is a great product for so many reasons.

Excellent air purifier. I decided on this unit after reading high ratings/recommendations in Consumer Reports. Very pleased so far. Very easy to set up and use. Whisper quiet in the night mode. Filters are easy to clean or change when needed. Manual recommends changing every six months but I'll check more frequently.

Sooo easy to set up. Very quiet when on. I keep it on low level. The dust problem I was having is greatly improved. Cooking odors don’t linger. Very pleased with this purchase. The size of the unit is larger than I envisioned but we found a good spot for it.

This just works, In a house with 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a bird, 2 of these placed in our home has drastically cut down on mine and my wife's allergies. Have recommended this to everyone I know that has pets / allergies

Excellent product. Really captures the dust. It’s easy to setup and handle. I love the ability to change the look of the machine by changing the outer cover. I purchased two for a great room with a wood heater. I believe they really helped. I recommend it and I would buy it again.

A moderate sized device with relatively low noise on lowest setting (of 3). Have really only been running it on the low setting and seem to notice a bit of improvement in air quality (purchased this due to having some remodeling done and there was a LOT of dust and particles in the house). Comes with 2 different color “pre filters” which is nice to be able to choose and customize. Fits into our decor without being too obtrusive.

Shopped around quite a bit for a nice air purifier, settled on this one because of the "sock" around the intake that I can wash. After more research, it looks like this design pulls in and cleans more air than others, and doesn't produce any ozone (seems OBVIOUS you wouldn't want this... but most actually DO produce some nominal amount). Anyway, the reason I was even looking for an air purifier was my air looked practically foggy in the sunlight and ridiculous amounts of dust everywhere, even with repeated dusting. Amazingly, after the first night of this thing running on top speed the air in our house was crystal clear in the morning and I'm SOLD. Bought a smaller version for the bedroom. Very quiet on all but the top speed, love the simplicity.

My girlfriend has dust allergies so we needed an effective air purifier that can clean our 650sq ft apartment while not sounding like a jet engine. The cloth exterior is a nice touch as the first layer of filtering. Replacement filters cost about 70$ making this a pretty expensive unit over time. We also were looking at Coway's comparable models but this one is a little more efficient in regards to size; also it's not too loud even on the highest setting. Pricing aside, we can't complain.

We have only had this a month, but so far it is really great. Extremely quiet, very easy to use. Really pulls odors out of the air quickly. I have also noticed less dust in the house and my husband is sneezing way less! We also bought smaller ones for our bedrooms.

After doing a thorough search of air purifiers for our home, the Blueair 211+ kept showing up on the lists of one of the best and stylish air purifiers on the market. Thankfully I can say the praise and reviews are right. I am doing minor pandemic construction in our house and anytime I work on the drywall I have this purifier nearby. I put it on either medium or high setting while I'm doing work and by the time I'm done you can see the pre-filter sleeve is coated in dust. You just remove the pre-filter and put it in the wash and voila its that easy to clean. This air purifier also does a great job of lowering the general dust and pet dander in the house as well because of it's carbon filter inside, it helps to eliminate odors in the house like the litter boxes. If you have an allergy sufferer in the house or a lot of pets in the house, I would highly suggest looking at Blueair's products.

We bought two of these and just replaced our first filter in one of them, when the indicator light turned yellow. I couldn't believe how dirty the filter had become either. The filters aren't cheap, but they're very effective and this model is top-rated on a number of independent review sites. We live in NYC and love to keep the windows open in nice weather, but we have no illusion about what we could potentially be breathing in. Our deck furniture would be unusable after a week or two if we didn't keep it covered to protect it from the dirt that would otherwise accumulate. The Blue Pure 211+ is quiet, effective and unobtrusive. Changing filters is simple, and if you sign up with Blueair for a subscription of replacements, you'll get a discount and they'll warranty your unit for as long as you maintain the subscription. That's a pretty good deal.

Very quiet on Low, quiet on Medium. Noticeable improvement of air quality in living room and dining room after one day of use. Continues to be effective after four weeks. Reasonable price, compared to other models and brands. Very easy to setup, use, clean.
