My allergies have gotten worse. My 10 year old Honey well performs better. The features seem to be pure hype.

I am very pleased with this air purifier. I wasn't sure what to expect, or how to really tell if it was working, but with 2 teenage boys and two dogs in our home I can say I have definitely seen a difference. When the air gets "polluted" you are able to see the machine change status (the light on the front tells you the air quality) and it will kick on to purify the air. I put ours in the center of our big open space where the kitchen, dining and living rooms are, and it comes on for several reasons. We grill outside a ton, and my husband tends to leave the door open when he's running in and out, and the second that any smoke comes inside the purifier changes status and kicks on to get rid of the smoke - and it truly works! Normally the smoke smell lingers for a couple hours after we finish eating but now it hardly hangs around at all. My son recently burned some Pop-Tarts in the toaster oven and the purifier kicked on as soon as the house started to smell - within 20 minutes the air status was back to "pure" and the burnt smell was completely gone. Prior to setting up the purifier I deep cleaned the areas where it was going to be located, focusing specifically on removing any dust on the furniture surfaces. Since then I have noticed that the dust has not accumulated nearly as fast as it typically would which was a very pleasant surprise. I have also noticed that as the trees and plants begin to bloom here in New Mexico with the warming temperatures my family is not experiencing the miserable allergies that we normally begin to suffer from in mid-February; there has been a lot less sneezing, sniffly noses and itchy eyes so far than we are used to - definitely a HUGE benefit! Overall we are all VERY pleased and I would highly recommend to purchase this if you are in the market for an air purifier.

After getting the 411 auto I wanted this for the living room. It is massive and too loud. Returned

Got this two years ago a house with two dogs and two adults picks up so much dust and house doesn’t smell like a dog.highly recommend product replacement filters are pretty pricey but it’s worth it

Does the job and does it well. Not loud at all, however it will get loud if the air needs purifying.

I am very pleased with only a couple of weeks use of the unit. However, the real test will be here later this month as pollen season begins in Georgia. Anyone who has lived in the south knows about the legendary pollen counts where there are days you simply cannot go outside. So far, I note that the unit has remarkably decreased the dust load on my furniture, but I expect it will really shine when the pollen starts spewing forth shortly.

LOVE THIS PRODUCT! East to use, variable speeds depending on your needs. Automatically ramps up if smoke or similar enters room. Looks nice which isn't required but a plus.

The unit is quiet and lightweight, which I love. Does a good job with odors and smoke. It is attractive and looks good in the room. I wish it were a true HEPA filter, but I hope it does a good job anyway.

I had an old purifier small one different brand it wasnt that good. I use to sneeze and cough during the night couldn't get a good night's sleep. I decided to buy this blueair 211 i can sleep now no more coughing and sneezing on dust this purifer is very silent to im glad i purchased.

This is a GREAT air purifier! I've had others in the past, and this one is amazing. It is also whisper quiet. I highly recommend it!

I got this item hoping it would allow the occasional cigar in the off season (that being when I can’t sit outside). The Blueair website claims this item eliminates smoke and advertises a 550 sq.ft. capacity. I lit a cigar in a room barely 150 sq.ft. and it did nothing to eliminate the odor. Visible smoke, sure, but that’s not the problem. To be fair, with the unit set to “auto” mode, it quickly recognized the smoke and kicked in the fan and the indicator light let me know the air was “polluted.” I only left the cigar lit for about 20 minutes and let it go out and within minutes the unit cycled back to low and told me the air quality was “good.” But we can smell it throughout our home, even on the next floors. I suppose if you only wanted it for allergens it would likely be a good product but since I got it with other uses in mind (trusting the advertised capability), I’m disappointed.

this is a gift for Christmas but this model was recommended to me by some one who has the same model and has helped them with their allergies and breathing problems.

Stopped working after 18 months and I regularly changed the filters.
