I recently got the chance to review the Blueair Blue Pure 211i Max air purifier, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. This device is designed for extra-large rooms up to 635 square feet and is ideal for open concept living spaces. It has a unique and modern design with a fabric pre-filter that adds a stylish element to the unit, making it much more convenient than a typical manual air filter/purifier. Installation of the device was very straightforward, and from the moment I turned it on I could feel the difference in my home's air quality. It operates using HEPA Silent technology which captures airborne particles like dust and pollen, as well as an activated carbon filter that eliminates unpleasant odors. Having suffered from seasonal allergies in the past, I found this product immensely helpful in reducing my symptoms significantly. The fan speeds on this purifier are adjustable, with 4 speeds available; surprisingly even at the highest setting it remains relatively quiet so conversations or TV watching can go uninterrupted. Additionally, this energy star certified device consumes extremely low energy when running due to its efficient design; allowing me to leave it running all day without worrying about high electricity bills. Probably my favorite thing about this purifier is its washable pre-filter; eliminating the need for expensive replacement filters every few months and ensuring that my device is always running optimally. The Smart feature of this unit also allows me to monitor and control air quality through an app on my phone, providing useful tips on how to improve indoor air quality which helps keep everything under control. Utilizing the app also gets you a filter replacement indicator which notifies me when it’s time to change the filter; making sure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently without any guesswork involved. Cleaning of this device is also fairly easy requiring only occasional vacuuming and washing of the pre-filter every couple of months or so. In conclusion, I absolutely recommend getting your hands on the 211i Max air purifier if you're looking for something reliable yet powerful enough for large living spaces. It’s perfect for those allergy prone individuals and the convenience of having your filter smart connected enables you to easily keep your air quality in check. Its sleek modern design coupled with advanced features make it a top choice in today's market when it comes to improving indoor air quality while being energy efficient at the same time.

The Blueair 211i is a top-notch air purifier that excels in delivering clean and fresh air for your indoor space. With its impressive filtration system, sleek design, and user-friendly features, it stands out as a reliable choice for those seeking improved air quality. The 211i's performance is notable. It covers a large area of up to 540 square feet, making it suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, or even small offices. We have ours placed in an open area at the entry to the house. This spot is also close to a litterbox and is a great help at removing any smell. In just a short time, you can experience a noticeable improvement in the air quality of your space. The sleek and modern design of the Blueair 211i is an added bonus. With its compact size and stylish appearance, it easily blends into any room decor. The intuitive touch controls and LED indicators make it simple to operate and adjust settings according to your preferences. You can also pair the 211i to your phone to control the purifier as well as receive stats about your air quality. Additionally, the low noise levels ensure a peaceful environment. Maintenance is hassle-free with the Blueair 211i. The filter replacement process is straightforward, and the indicator light reminds you when it's time for a new filter. The Energy Star certification ensures energy efficiency, helping you save on electricity bills while still enjoying clean air. While the Blueair 211i offers exceptional performance, it comes at a higher price point on the market. However, considering its efficient filtration system, large coverage area, and stylish design, it is a worthwhile investment for those prioritizing clean and healthy indoor air.

The Blueair Blue Pure 211i air purifier is an extremely quiet and effective air purifier that will keep your room/homes air clean and free of common allergens. The overall design is very pleasing and looks good in any room that you decide to put this in, the fabric (which is also a type of pre-filter) is replaceable with other colors that Blueair has for you to customize the look of your purifier. It is a bit bulky so it does take up a small amount of footprint in the room that you put this in, but I still think it is a nice design and looks good in almost any area that you may decide to put this in. I appreciate that the pre-filter is washable and the huge size of the main filter makes it so it can last for 6-9 months according to Blueair's website, I just wish that this filter was also washable making it so that you can buy this product once and use it for a lifetime without any additional costs. But since it is such a large filter I don't think it's too bad to only have to replace this twice a year at most and depending on the air quality in your area you may be able to get up to 9 months which is even better. The app has some handy features if your interested in tracking the air quality in your house, or if you want more control over when it comes on and off, other than that there isn't much use to the app and if you're just going to leave the purifier on auto then you don't really need the app in my opinion. I've already uninstalled it from my phone, but it's not as bad as most apps where it requires more permission than is necessary to control something as simple as a purifier. Overall, this is a great air purifier and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an air purifier for the house or for a specific room.

The Blueair - Blue Pure 211i Max 635 Sq. Ft HEPASilent Smart Extra-Large Room Air Purifier is an excellent, and very capable, air purifier. Setting the unit up is very easy. You’ll want to download the app, and plug in the purifier. The app will run you through the process of setting up the WiFi. The app is actually pretty cool. I thought I would only be able to turn it on and off, but you get a decent amount of info from the app. You get access to all the controls like fan speed, auto mode, sleep mode, child lock, filter status and even led brightness. My favorite part of the app is how it tracks the air quality of the room. It will graph it out for you so you can visualize the air quality over time! This Blueair air purifier does a very good job and cleaning the air. We have this one in our bedroom and the air is always fresh and clean. The fan is powerful at its highest setting and nice and quiet at its lowest. No buzzing, weird noises or anything. Very good quality. We have several pets in our household so it’s really important for us to have clean air. We have a couple other Blueair products and they all have been great as well. As far as any downsides to this air purifier, the only thing that comes to mind is now there’s another filter to buy. We have a few purifiers in the house and they all take a different filter. Overall, I highly recommend this Blueair air purifier. It’s really great, works well and the app is fairly robust. If you’re in the market, pick this one up!

This unit is very quiet for it's size and does seem to clean the air around it. We noticed a fresher smell once its been running. There is a very light but noticeable odor in the room akin to a metallic smell. Not over bearing - but there none the less. This may dissipate over time. The app is nice to evaluate the cleaning metrics and to let you know the status of your unit. The size is surprisingly compact when compared to the box it comes in. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the size as I feared it would take up too much room to be used regularly in our small apartment but its really a perfect fit. It can clean over 600 square feet and it actually does absorb and remove pet odors very well - so well that we could no longer smell the litter box when the unit was running for a few hours. That was amazing and reason enough to have a air cleaner in your home. I'm glad the HEPA filter is included as well as I have allergies and this unit seems to really help with that. It would be a nice addition to have it catch and filter viruses but maybe that's something for the next generation. Also, I highly recommend this if you're in a vaping or smoking household as it can virtually remove the smell.

The Blueair- Blue Pure 211i Max is a nice air purifier. I tested the purifier in the living room space. First I downloaded the app and this process went quite quickly. No complaints. After about 10 to 20 minutes I could notice that the purifier was cleaning the air throughout the living room. It even reached as far as my dining area, which happens to be connected to the living room area. My family was amazed at the cleanliness of the air. What I like about the purifier is that the app provides explanations on the different levels of the air from Excellent to Very Polluted. Each range from 1 to 10 has a different category. From pet dander, bacteria, viruses, smog, smoke, and more. In the app, there is a graph that shows you the readings throughout the day. The app also lets you select your location area, in addition to letting you know the life left on your filter. You can also create schedules of when you want the purifier on. In the app, you can select the fan speed that you would like. There are also child lock, night, and auto options on the purifier. Overall I like this air purifier. It is silent and I can tell it is working. I would recommend.

Great air purification. Bad WiFi connectivity.

I have 2 Blueairs, the 211i Max and the 311i Max. Both clean the air in the rooms very well. 211i is in a 1000sqft room with vaulted ceilings and manages to keep the entire space fresh, so I’m very happy with its performance there. 1 downside, the WiFi connectivity lacks. Both units drop off the network consistently even with being close to the router. I had set up schedules for them using the blue app, but when they don’t stay connected, they do not turn on and off as desired. Work around is I connected them to a smart plug and recreated the schedules on that app, However with connectivity through the blue app, I can’t see air quality results or details in when to replace the filters. Summary: functionally great for the air purification. Functionally not great for the WiFi and thus app use ability.

The Blueair - Blue Pure 211i Max 635 Sq. Ft HEPASilent Smart Extra-Large Room Air Purifier is a nice unit. The setup process was fairly easy. However, I did encounter a slight hiccup. The app was not able to find the unit on my first try. After trying again, the app was able to find the unit and connect to it on the second try. The air purifier has a different look than most other air purifiers. The fans are quiet. I do to not hear any high pitched or loud fan noises compared to some other units I’ve used. It’s pretty much whisper quiet in low speed modes. Even when the fans are cranked up, it’s still not too bad. I do notice a weird odor that comes from the unit while in use. I’m hoping the smell goes away after a while. If not, I’m not sure it’s something I would want to continue using because so far I haven’t gotten used to the smell. The app works well and connects to your home’s WiFi. The app gives you extra features and controls. Overall, I like this air purifier. I just hope the smell subsides over time.

I feel happier and healthier with this

It is compact, charming, almost sweet-looking. It had an undefinable otherness which most gadgets don’t: a Nordic cool, which goes far beyond Ikea. Though I have a classic, not especially modern, décor, it fit it like a glove. It took a while to situate it, but eventually I chose the central location of our kitchen. Almost immediately I saw its benefits when I burnt dinner and the fire alarm went off. Opening the windows, I left the area and returned about a half hour later. Incredibly, the smell was absolutely gone. Almost as if nothing had been burnt. I decided to test this capability by putting an old handbag I loved, but which had gone musty, near it. Now, it didn’t take out ALL the smell after I set it near the tower. But 80% of it had gone. I could not believe it. And let me tell you, this munchkin Air Purifier is a little workhorse. I ran it nonstop for about a week, and it never once stopped whirring around, or lessened its effectiveness. The entire house, not just the kitchen, smelt purer, cleaner, better. I used to work in a place which piped in pure oxygen to stimulate the brain to work more efficiently, and this is the exact sensation you get now with the BlueAir Purifier. Some details: - There are three settings, which light up when touched. These are very sensitive, and it takes a little practise, as one more touch than necessary forces you to go through the cycle of settings. But you’ll get the hang of it. - The ‘on’ light is a bother at night, and I’ve seen some nifty workarounds in reviews. We put our cell phone on top of the light, at night. Problem over. - When you change the filter, tap once, and the tap-hold it for 10 seconds. It tells the gadget that there’s a new filter. - You can buy the pre-filter “sock” in various colours, or just wash them. I compromised: I let the original get very mucky (see filter photos), and then just bought a new one (another blue, it’s so choice). I thought laundering it would fade the sock’s elegant hue, and would make it too stretchy. The photo of the sock is the slate grey one, which comes alongside the blue. It’s not quite black, not quite grey. I haven’t tried any of the other shades yet. - The replacement filter had a nauseating milky scent to it, which was totally not the case with the original. It gave me a headache, so I asked for and received a replacement from Amazon. If this happens to you, even months later, try to get a replacement. - Register your BlueAir product in their site. You get all kinds of coupons and such, plus if anything goes wrong, replacements are easier. Note, I did buy the Asurion protection for my BlueAir via Amazon. So far, so good, though! - Download their app, which I use on my iPad. It has many handy indices, such as air quality for most places around the world. I added my city, and I’m sure you’ll laugh, but I added “Wuhan, China” too. Might as well keep an eye on them, right? All joshing aside, if you value your lungs, your health, and that of your loved ones, buy an Air Purifier for your home. It’s one of the simplest weapons in our arsenal against this deadly virus. I’m an asthmatic, and during all this time, I never once had to resort to my Albuterol or suffered allergies.

So far, this purifier has been perfect. It has a variable speed fan that responds to air quality – if the dust level goes up, the fan speeds up to clean the air faster, then slows back down once the air is clean. This means that most of the time, the fan is so quiet you can't hear it, plus this feature saves electricity too. The touch screen status panel works great too and is very intuitive. I didn't connect the device to wi-fi to use with the app. It just isn't necessary.

We are seattle area residents. We've been suffering for a few years with HEPA filters and box fans to help rid our bedroom of smoke, but it hasn't worked so well. Saw this 211i max on sale and gave it a try. Its been running for the past month and the room air indeed seems cleaner. The unit is quiet enough that it runs near our bed and the gentle noise isn't so loud at all. Certainly 100x quieter than the box fans.

So Quiet! Cleans Air Really Well

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have tinnitus. The ringing in my ears increases with sounds such as air conditioners and heaters make. I was worried about running this all of the time, but on the lowest level it's amazingly quiet; you can barely hear it even when you focus on listening to it! I have asthma. Our air quality was hazardous recently due to smoke from fires in Canada, and I had difficulty breathing even inside our house. Knowing more smoke is coming this summer, I bought the Blueair Blue Pure 211i Max. The unit tells the indoor air quality right on top of the machine, and had read zero since we turned it on. 3 days ago it read 1. Then we entered a time of unhealthy outdoor air, and it's been reading between 1 and 11 since then. (My son has one that was not turned on, and it read indoor air quality as 48; 50 is unhealthy for sensitive people.) Mine dropped back to 1 to 2 today, when outdoor air quality is moderate. I carry it to my bedroom to run it before I go to sleep, as I definitely notice the difference in my breathing and coughing in rooms it is running in vs. the rest of the house. If the smoky air continues as predicted, I will buy a 2nd unit.

    Amazingly effective HEPA filter

I bought this HEPA filter to replace an older bedroom unit that no longer did much besides making white noise. The Blue Pure 211i Max far exceeded all my expectations. I placed the unit at the corner of the entrance and bedroom hallways and keep the air handler fan switched on to recirculate the air in the house. During the day we run the unit in Auto mode where it is totally silent. At night we put the unit in high fan mode and it fills the main floor with pleasant white noise. Since installing it a month ago, the floors and furniture no longer get dusty. The house is noticeably cleaner throughout and I have far fewer allergy attacks from the fall pollen. The unit even removes the cooking odors from the house. We run the unit on high whenever we have guests to reduce the chances of flu or covid. We couldn't ask for more.

We live in an old house (1926) Dont know when air ducts cleaned last, land lord wont do it and its expensive as a tenant. Husband & I had stuffed up noses, sneezing a lot and sometimes when we came on to house it just smelled...well, like everything. Within 24 hours, all sneezing & congestion gone for both of us and within 48 hours, house smells fresh when you walk in the door. Very happy with this purifier...looking to put smaller one in basement.
