Had this a little over a year and now it’s dead. Won’t turn on at all. No lights , nothing. Of course it died after the 1 year warranty ran out. For this price point, one would think that it would last longer than a year. My $100 3M machine lasted over 3 years before it started to wear down. Contacted customer service and the help I got was “but did you try to turn it on and off??? Did you try to unplug and plug it in??” Omg, you don’t say!!??

Took this out of the box, plugged in and turned on. It worked. You have to love the simplicity in this complicated world. The “buttons” on the top are easy to understand and navigate. There is a small light in the front that goes from blue, green, yellow, orange and red. Blue means the air is excellent air quality while red is very polluted. Was pleased to see it was blue in my home. I’ll keep using the Blueair purifier to keep it that way! I find fans and air purifiers can be noisy. The Blueair Blue Pure model is pretty quiet. On the lowest and second lowest speeds I forget it’s on, it’s so quiet. At the third and fourth (highest) speeds you can hear it running but it is not annoying. I plan to keep this in my bedroom and run on the second or third speed. Like most items today there is an app. I was pleasantly surprised by the information available in the app. For example, it told me my fan speed was 70% (3rd speed choice). The app also provides information about the air quality outside. A filter status is displayed in the app so you can for filter replacements. Finally, you can schedule times for the Blueair to run, including fan speed. In addition to its being pretty quiet I like the aesthetics. It’s unobtrusive, so even though it’s in the room it’s not the center of attention. As it gets pretty warm where I live I appreciate the air being blown out of the unit is cool.

I want to start by saying that the Blue Pure 211i Max is not my first Blueair. 2 years ago I bought a Blueair - Classic 605 Smart Console 775 Sq and never looked back. We were able to instantly feel the difference in air quality in our home and our allergy suffering went down significantly.
When I saw that Blueair has started making sexy looking models that fit within any décor I decided to pull the trigger on the Blue Pure 211i Max since I needed a new purifier for the living space.
The great thing about the Blue Pure 211i Max is that you can set it to automatic and forget about it, it will automatically set fan rpm based on need or air quality, it stays silent at night and you can actually almost not realize its running unless the air quality is bad.
the app is as easy and well built as they come. a lot of information to see and its a great option if you have pets at home while you are out.
also, the Blue Pure 211i Max looks like a Google home mini but big, with the white color and the nice fabric body that actually covers the filter. the great thing is that those fabric covers come in many different colors to fit your style. I guess this is a home run for Blueair, well designed, wonderfully equipped and correctly priced product.

Blueair, the most awarded air purifier brand in the United States, continuously innovates to improve their stellar products. Blueair won Best Air Purifier 2020 in Apartment Therapy; Reddot Winner 2021 for Product Design; Wirecutter Pick 2021 for Blue Pure 2112+ & Best Overall Air Purifier 2021 by Good Housekeeping!
This Blue Pure 211i Max is designed to purify the air in extra large spaces measuring up to 635 - 1,524 square feet. Their patented HEPASilent technology cleans 635 square feet in 12.5 minutes & cleans up to 1,524 square feet in 30 minutes.
At first glance, your decorator will love this beauty! Wrapped in decorator preferred colors gray & white, or if you prefer different colors, Blueair offers a choice of 5 colors + white accent! Air purifiers are often rectangular boxes that feature industrial plastic or metal exteriors. By contrast, the Blue Pure 211i Max blends soft texture with the decor of well appointed homes.
My iPhone serves as the remote using the Blueair app; I also added the Blueair Alexa Skill for voice control.
CONCLUSION:
The Blue Pure 211i Max cleans faster & quieter (23-53dB) than competitive air purifiers. The real time pollution sensor is easy to understand with the onboard 5-color display. There are 4 fan speeds & a Night Mode. I highly recommend this amazing & beautiful product. You will love the clean air!

The Blueair - Blue Pure 211i Max is an exceptional air purifier designed for extra-large rooms up to 635 square feet. I was very much excited to get my hands on this product and put it to the test, as I have a large open concept living space that often feels stuffy and uncomfortable specially in the mornings
Right out of the box, the Blueair - Blue Pure 211i Max impressed me with its sleek and modern design. The unit is compact, yet sturdy, and the fabric pre-filter is a unique touch that adds a stylish element to the device. This units controls are simple yet straight forward and equipped with Smart technology allowing you to monitor and control the air quality through an app on your phone.
Unboxing and Setting up this purifier is very easy, and I instantly noticed a difference in the air quality of my home. The HEPASilent technology worked wonders in capturing airborne particles, such as dust and pollen, and the activated carbon filter helped eliminate unpleasant odors. I suffer from seasonal allergies from time to time like so many people and using this purifier, helping me a lot in reduction of my symptoms.
The Blue Pure 211i Max has 4 different fan speeds, and I found that the lowest setting was sufficient for maintaining clean air throughout the day. Even at the highest setting, the unit remained relatively quiet, which was a welcome surprise. I could comfortably watch television or hold a conversation without the noise becoming a distraction.
Another feature that I appreciate about the Blueair - Blue Pure 211i Max is its energy efficiency. The unit is Energy Star certified and consumes very less energy on the highest setting. So that you can leave the purifier running all day without worrying about your electricity bill skyrocketing.
One of the standout features of this air purifier is the washable pre-filter. Which helps cut down on the cost of replacement filters. Cleaning the filter is easy just vacuum it and throw it in washing machine ones in couple of months.
The Smart feature of this air purifier is also worth mentioning, download the app and connect the purifier to your network. This helps you monitor the air quality in your home and adjust the settings from anywhere using your smartphone as per your requirement this app also provides useful tips on how to improve indoor air quality making it an excellent tool for anyone concerned about the air they breathe.
Another great feature is the filter replacement indicator which notifies you when its time to change the this takes the guesswork out of when to replace the filter ensuring that your purifier is always running at peak performance.
In terms of maintenance, the Blueair Max is relatively low The washable pre filter is easy to clean, and the other filter only need to be replaced every 9 months, depending on usage.
Overall I highly recommend this Blueair 211i Max to anyone in the market for an air purifier. The sleek design with advanced features, and impressive performance make this a best choice for anyone seeking to improve their home's air quality.

I own two of Blueair’s air purifiers, including this one, and couldn’t be happier with both of them. I’m so happy that I finally have one for my largest room, the living room. It really makes a difference in the air quality and it’s quite noticeable.
The design of this unit is outstanding. It’s aesthetically pleasing while still being very functional. I get compliments on this unit as it is somewhat in the center wall of my living room but it blends in well. It is a larger air purifier but it’s built for large spaces so the size is expected but even though it’s large I don’t feel like it’s intrusive.
The lcd control panel on top makes it easy to switch through modes and particulate settings. It’s very nice and elegant looking and the entire unit feels well built with quality materials. Setup was very simple out of the box as was linking the unit to the app. I really really like the app. Not only can you adjust all the settings but it has a child lock mode which is handy if you have small children but the best feature of the app, I feel is, the historical graph of how clean the air is. I like to see the differences over time and have something to reference. It’s a nice touch.
After getting it setup and starting it up for the first time, it did have a smell for about a day or two. I didn’t mind the smell. It’s more like a “new product” smell that faded over time and now is gone. Overall, I am very happy with this air purifier and feel it improves the overall quality of the air in my home. If you suffer from allergies, dust, or pet dander I feel like air purifiers are a must in your home. I can’t recommend Blueair enough. They are next level when it comes to innovative features and quality design as well as build.

We started using air purifiers in our home over 3 years ago. A family member has a lung condition and it has really helped their medical condition. We have small units for the bedrooms and then larger units for living room / kitchen.
Having tried several brands and units, I think that Blueair is probably the most economical. We also own the 211+ (smaller unit). That unit and the 211i Max both have the fabric pre-filter. You can vacuum and wash the pre-filter which helps to lengthen the life of your filter. With the 211+, we usually change the filter at about 9 months. You can also save on filter cost by signing up for a subscription program. If you have any construction in your home you will need to change the filter sooner.
My only complaint about the pre-filters is that they used to come in fun colors. Now they are muted and drab. It was easier to see when the pre-filter needed cleaning with the brighter colors too. Please bring back the bright colors.
This model can connect to the Blueair app (not all models can). Directions said it can only connect to a 2.4GHz network but it worked fine on my 5GHz network. I like the app as it shows filter status and air quality. You can add a schedule too. A remote isn’t included as the app can fully control the unit.
This unit has a welcome home feature. The unit will go on standby when you leave and then turn back on when you are 15 minutes away. It works very well.
The 211i Max is also quiet and has a child lock, 5 fan speeds (including night mode) and brightness control.
Register your product for an extended warranty.
My suggestion is to run this unit for about 30-60 minutes on high. You should notice a difference in your air quality after that. We leave it on Auto and it will automatically adjust as needed.
This unit does an amazing job in our large kitchen / living room area. You do want to position it more toward the middle of the area you are purifying. Off to the side is fine but don’t put in on the end in a corner; you want to have it purify on at least 3 sides.
Highly recommended.
Note: My unit arrived with a piece of metal rattling around. Customer Service was quick to replace it. We finally were able to shake the piece out before sending it back.

I was in search for an air purifier for my large living room where I spend a lot of time including using that space for workouts and this was perfect for my needs.
The first thing that struck me about this air purifier is just how good looking it is. I can easily have this sitting in plain sight and it fits right in.
Other than looks, the other thing that struck me was how quiet it is where it’s basically silent at the lowest fan speed, it’s very faint at half speed, 3/4 speed is kind of like a light hum, and at full speed you can certainly here it but I could still have it on full speed and watch TV without much interruption.
Setup is incredibly simple. The first thing that’s nice about the setup is that you’ll actually slide the unit out from its box vs having to lift it - a very nice touch. All you have to do then is just plug it in, fire up the Blueair app on your phone and add the device. I have a previous generation Blueair purifier so I already had an account set up but you’’ll have to create an account to get it paired with the app.
The app is well designed and provides plenty of information like the current air quality, a breakdown of different size particulates that are currently detected as well historical data, your filter status and if you need to replace it, you can switch between the auto mode where it adjusts fan speed based on particulates or you can adjust the fan speed manually, you can enable a night mode where it disables the LEDs on the outside of the device, and you can also create a schedule.
In addition to the app it has touch controls on the unit itself for all of the functions and you can also cycle through the particulate information that are currently detected.
This particular 211i model is fairly large (a little shorter than a 13 gallon trash can but just a bit wider) so make sure to check the dimensions before purchasing but it’s surprisingly light so it’s easy to move around for the most part.
Literally the only thing I would like on this product are some handles on the side in situations where I would like to move it to a different room. Other than that this is a fantastic, quiet, and attractive air purifier that does an amazing job for large spaces.

I’m really impressed with this Blueair air purifier. It feels very solid and well-built, runs incredibly quiet unless it is in a high fan mode, and was super easy to set up right out of the box. The app provides detailed insights that are simple to read. I also love how clean and modern the design is—it blends seamlessly into my home without looking like an appliance. Great performance with no distractions. Highly recommend!

Great air filter for large spaces. The box it comes in is big and I thought it would be very heavy, but I was surprised that it was not at all. It comes with a filter installed and also a fabric pre-filter on the outside. It was a nice clear gray color. The outside pre-filter is washable and they also sell other colors in their website. I plan on getting another color one so I have two on rotation, using one while I wash and dry the other one. The inside filters are not washable, but I they should last around 6-9 months depending on your air quality. I also saw their website and replacement ones are priced reasonably.
Setting up the filter was very easy. Just download their app on your favorite device. I did on my phone. Then, I plugged it in and launched their app (you have to create an account), then I added the device and it will ask for your home's wifi credentials so you can attach it to your network. Once done, you can either control it remotely with your phone or using the LED touch panel. I just use the app, which is very complete. I love that it shows the current air quality outdoors in your area, and it also shows the air quality indoors (the filter has a sensor) so you can compare them. The app also allows you to set schedules. I.E I set it to be on the auto setting during the day and the night setting at night so the LED dims and the fan slows down (I did encounter a bug that it would not apply those schedule settings correctly, at night it was setting itself to a lower fan speed but not at its night setting, I hope they fix this soon).
Speaking of modes, you can control the fan speed, or if you want you can set it on auto and it will automatically speed up the fan depending on the air quality inside your home. The night setting dims it and also slows down the fans, so lets say in case you have the filter in your bedroom, it does not disturb your sleep).
At first it did have a "new" plastic smell, but it went ago very quickly after a few hours of using. I love that is such a powerful air cleaner, it can clean around 600 sq feet area in around 13 minutes and around 1500 sq feet in around half an our. It cleans lots of particles in the air, but the most important to me are pollen and dirt, since I have allergies, this filter has helped having the air clean in my home, it's important as sometimes your indoor air could be even worse than outdoors!
Highly recommend it if you want to keep your air clean in large spaces!!!

We recently moved into a new house and had to move my elderly mother and her three dogs in with our family and were in the market for an air purifier that could clear the air from my mom’s area, which is a little over 700 square feet. My mom downsized from about 2600 square feet however, as expected and although little dogs, the dogs stayed the same size and created the same messes in a much smaller space. Being that my mother is elderly, it is much harder for her now to keep up on her household chores, including cleaning up after her three dogs, which does not bode well for our nostrils. We definitely had to something with my mom’s side other than continuing to clean and experimenting with different air fresheners, candles, plug-ins, etc. Mind you, we have air purifiers in just about every area and room on our side of the house, which is approximately 3100 square feet. We’ve become accustomed to clean, odor free air and it’s a must have for those of us with year round allergies and lots of house guests.
Ultimately, we settled on the new Blueair line of air purifiers, specifically the 211i Max, because of its features, size it covers, aesthetics and quiet sound. It was simple to set up after taking it out of the box, downloading the smart phone app, creating an account and turning it on. The app monitors the air in real time, advises you of pollutants and reminds you when it’s time to change the filter. You don’t have to rely on the app for functionality if you aren’t tech saavy as the purifier also has simple two-button controls on the top to toggle it on/off, adjust the speed and putting it on child or night mode to not be a distraction. We were very surprised that just after a few hours of use we could already tell, and smell, the difference in the air.
Overall, the Blue Pure 211i Max checked every box for my mom’s set up and our recent change in air cleanliness adding three dogs to our household. It feels sturdy and well made, as expected from a Swedish manufacturer, and aesthetically matched our light grey walls with white base boards. I would recommend this air purifier to anyone in the market for one with a large area to clean.

The Blue air filter is quite big, but it has to be to circulate and clean the amount of air it does for a 635 sq ft room (takes about 12.5 minutes). The added touch of a pre filter that can be hand washed extends the life of the internal hepa filter. The unit silently runs and pushes air vertically from the top. The app was a snap to set up and was able to take control of the unit from a different room for testing. I was able to schedule a 3 hour nightly window that turned the unit on and run, then back off at the desired time. My air in the basement was showing as excellent with little to no particulates so there was no reason to run it 24/7. When I moved it to my main living room, the amount of particulates jumped considerably. So I ran it constant, as I have a daughter with bad allergies. Currently in our area the pollen count is very high.
I noticed an immediate difference when I ran it near her room. No more waking up and sneezing constantly for 10 minutes every morning. She is now able to sleep more soundly with less sneezing fits.
The unit is very nice and looks good in any room I move it too, not out of place, even considering the size. The control lights and buttons on the top are very nicely lit and the LED brightness can be adjusted as to not stand out so much or light up a room at night. The control on the unit operates power, a night mode, fan speed, toggle mode and an auto mode. The auto mode adjusts fan speed per your need for air quality. The night mode auto adjusts the light brightness and a low fan speed for noise level. The other modes are self explanatory. The unit weighs in at about 16 lbs.
The blue air does a great job of cleaning the air, its allergy reducing benefits are worth there weight in gold.
I would recommend this to family and friends.

I’ve had the Blueair Blue Pure 211i Max running for about a month now, and I can honestly say it’s made a huge difference in our home. We have pets and a two-story house, and I used to notice dust and pet dander no matter how often I cleaned. Within the first day, the air just felt lighter — it’s one of those things you don’t realize until you experience it.
It’s super quiet, even on higher settings, and the smart app is really convenient. I can check the air quality and control everything from my phone, which is great when I forget to turn it down before bed. The design is clean and modern, and I love that the fabric pre-filter is easy to remove and wash — plus it looks good in the room!
What surprised me most is how powerful it is. It covers our entire main living area (almost 3,000 sq ft) with no problem. My allergies are noticeably better, and guests have even commented that the air smells fresher.
Overall, this is one of the best home purchases I’ve made this year. If you’re on the fence, go for it — it’s quiet, effective, and worth every penny.

This air purifier by Blueair does an outstanding job. It is very easy to setup and run. The app is easy to use. The most important feature is the automatic mode. It runs the fan at a very slow speed and increases when it determines the air quality to deteriorate. For example, it is located in the family room and when cooking in the kitchen the fan may speed up if it detects an odor, smoke, etc. In fact, even when the purifier kicks in at a higher fan rate it is still very quiet. Just looking at the filters one can see it is definitely cleaning the air throughout the house. It is rated to clean a 3000 sq ft house. And, the price seems to be reasonable especially when you search for other purifier and find much higher prices. I'm sold on this particular unit and wish I had purchased it sooner. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

The Blue Pure 211i Max air purifier is a very well constructed product. It was simple to install and was easy to setup. Once connected to the power scan the QR code to download the mobile application that is available for iPhone and Android. When you turn it on you'll see the bright screen light up with different modes to show if the purifier is on auto, fan speed wifi and the particulate matter (PM) or particle pollution. I have had air purifiers in the past but not all have the option to see the PM levels which is pretty neat. During the application set up, you have the option to connect the air purifier to your wifi. Connecting the air purifier to Wi-fi will give you access to control it remotely and some other useful features.
After the initial setting the air purifier began to scan for the PM in the air. I placed the air purifier in my living room and the PM was reading about 13. Within 10-15 minutes the PM was reduced to 0. I honestly could not tell a huge difference in the air quality but seeing the PM chart did give me some peace of mind. There are different types of speed settings including an auto mode. I mostly use the auto mode. However, the highest fan speed it’s actually pretty good too. Something really great about this device is that it is extremely quiet.
There is this welcome Home feature which utilizes your phone’s GPS location to know when you are home and away. When you leave the house, the air purifier goes into sleep mode and when you are about 15 minutes from arriving, the air purifier turns on, so that you can arrive at your home with clean air.
Overall it seems to be a pretty good air purifier, it is extremely quiet, very well constructed and easy to setup. It has good features, the mobile app provides useful information and it can be controlled remotely. In the box you get the air purifier and user manual

There is so much to love about this Air Purifier. It's bigger in real life than what I had originally thought just looking at the listing (I didn't pay attention to the dimensions), but that's a good thing. It really will cover the area it says it will. The biggest thing that separates this from the other Air Purifiers we have all over out house is how quiet it is. This thing is fairly big in order to adequately clean the air in a large area, but runs quieter than any of the small tabletop style purifiers I have! The design is excellent too - I mean it actually looks good. Many purifiers look very stark, but the cloth "skirt" around this one gives it a much softer stylish look. Of course, looks are irrelevant if it doesn't work well, but this does a great job and has every feature you could want in an air purifier.
Besides the usual settings of low/medium/high, the Blueair 211i will detect the current level of particles in the air and adjust itself accordingly. This is the setting I leave it on as it makes the most sense. If you're cooking or something, it will kick into higher gear to help remove the pollution from the air. This also has a way to change the brightness level of the digital display which is great because if it's in a dark room you don't want a bright display. And although you can fully control this just using the controls that are on the top of the unit, it can also be connected to your WiFi and then controlled through an app - talk about advanced features!
The Blueair Blue Pure 211i Max air purifier is the best one I have owned (and I have 4 other brands in my house of varying sizes). It has every feature you could possibly want in a purifier. It's large enough to fully clean a large area without being too big. It looks great. And it's SO quiet! Really overall great product.

This is my second Blueair room purifier, and I love them both for ease of use, quality, and noticeably less allergy symptoms when I get up in the morning. Note that experiences will vary, this is based on living in Tennessee, where pollen has its own season.
The Blue Pure 211i is incredibly silent, is quick to clean the air, and gives real time air quality feedback via the app. In the box is the air purifier, attached power cable, and instructions. The purifier is 2' tall, 14" diameter, and weighs in just over 15 lbs. The darker gray is a fabric material that covers the air filter, you will want to be careful not to crush when picking up and moving around. The lighter gray top is hard plastic with an touch screen LED display. The air purifier is plug and play, however to get the maximum benefit you will want to use the companion Blueair app. The app is easy installation, select the product type, turn on bluetooth, and then pair with wifi. Note that you will need a 2.4 GHz wifi option to pair. After pairing, the app will give you results on three different particulate levels - PM10 (larger particles such as pollen, mold, dust), PM2.5 (fine dust, pet dander, bacteria), and PM1 (bacteria, viruses, smoke). Each particulate level gives a graph reading that ranges from excellent to very polluted (see photo).
There are two modes to operate the air purifier in, automatic and manual. For automatic, if the air quality is reading good / excellent I can barely hear the fan. When cooking, painting, or spraying cleaners the air quality will drop down to moderate or polluted and the fan will kick up to the highest setting, where the noise is slightly noticeable, comparable to a box fan on low.
On manual mode, you can select the fan speed from the app or from the control panel on the top. The options are off and four different fan speeds. There is also the option to set night mode, which keeps the fan on a quiet setting, turns off the power LED, as well as dims the control panel. The app also allows for LED brightness control, even outside of night mode.
In addition to the air quality monitoring, the app will provide a filter life span, the ability to add a schedule, see the device status, and system information (used for troubleshooting purposes). The app is intuitive, and its easy to scroll back and view changes in air quality throughout the day. For me, if I see the PM10 spike up (typically associated with high pollen days, or the family frequently opening or leaving exterior doors open), I know that I need to take an additional allergy medicine, versus normal when the PM10 graph stays consistently low. The PM2.5 will typically track to the house cat activity, if they are running and playing in the room with the filter, the reading will spike up. I've also noticed a reduction in how frequently I need to dust with the air purifier running on auto.
Overall, if you think you may need an air purifier, this is a fantastic one. The app air quality feedback will help you understand your normal home environment and the purifier will quickly clean a room to keep your air healthy.

I have been testing the BLUAIR 211i Max air purifier for the past 3 days and I am very impressed with it. The setup was quick and easy, and I was able to connect it to my Wi-Fi network using the provided app. Once it was connected, I was able to control all of the air purifier's settings from my phone.
One of the things I love most about this air purifier is how quiet it is. Even on its highest setting, it is barely audible. At most it sounded like a tiny fan moving air. The exterior styling is also very simple and unobtrusive. But perhaps the best thing about this air purifier is its performance. Using the app, I was able to see real-time air quality graphs that showed me particle counts. The entire time I used this air purifier, my air quality consistently stayed in the excellent range. Whenever the air quality degraded the BLUAIR 211 quickly and quietly stepped in to get the air quality back to excellent.
Overall, I am very happy with the BLUAIR 211i Max air purifier. It is quiet, stylish, and performs very well. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an air purifier that will improve the air quality in their home.

I previously owned a dust magnet 5210i. So I am familiar with Blueaire products.
This Blue Pure 211i Max is a huge step up...
Setup was a snap. Downloaded the android app. Followed the instructions connected to Wifi and I was in and set up. Took all but 15 min max. I did have to disable my 5 GHz wifi because this only takes 2.5 GHz. New WiFi systems these days makes it easy to do that.
After that I just set it to whatever setting and it ran.
Metrics data on the app was good. PM 1, 2.5, and 10.
This thing is SUPER quiet.... Which is awesome.
The look is super slick... Nice gray and white color.
The top buttons are also easy to use.
You can set the LEDs down if you are going to use in your bedroom.
Great filter in auto. It sensed that we were cooking something oily and it kicked into high and started to filter the oil out of the air.
2 cons: initial start up smell which went away 8n about 2 days. And you're not supposed to pick it up from the sides as it is a little weak on its sides and the fabric might get messed up. You're supposed to pick it up from the bottom.
Other than that great filter. I would recommend it.

First thing is, this baby is big! Can easily be mistaken for a speaker. It has smart controls and WiFi, and is only a little loud when the fan speeds are in high mode. It has an auto mode, and you can set schedules for it as well, and in the app also shows you the filter life and air quality. We have dogs and a baby, and this has helped soooo much!
