We have pets and although they are clean, they do smell like animals. Well! This purifier is doing a great job and the "pet odor" is good. Very nice. As a matter of fact, I was inspired to buy a smaller one for a friend as a gift and she reports that she thinks it is a very good product, too, especially for a "sick room." We agreed that the design is nice, too.
