very nice and efficient unit. The unit is the filter itself. One touch operation on the top. No filter to get stuck in the case, Washable sleeve to cover the filter to screen out the initial dust.

Solid Air Purifier for Under $100

Been using this Air Purifier for over a year now, and I am mostly satisfied. It seems to be doing its job, as evidenced by how dirty the fabric cover gets. It's nice that they include two covers, so you can easily swap out the dirty one and replace it with the second one while you clean the first.
I own another Air Purifier that has a built-in app to inform you of the current air quality (Levoit - TruClean Smart), which would have been a nice feature here, but for the price, I don't expect that to be included.
Overall, its a good buy, but if you can spend a little more, I would go for the Levoit Smart, especially if you can find that one on sale, as it is nice to know the current air quality, to make sure it's working properly.

I’m the type that researches a minimum of an hour before committing to a purchase. I’d been wanting a purifier for my room and almost pulled the trigger on the Molekule. Except for $700, it has terrible reviews. This $100 purifier won review after review. Couldn’t be more satisfied. The colored part on the outside (I call it it’s dress) is like a pre-filter filter. You’ll be surprised at how quickly it’ll be covered in dust but you can just rinse it off. This specific model is for a rather small room but if you need a bigger one, the next model is not that much more.

I've got this sitting a couple feet away from my pet parrot and seeing as how I have to clean the cover filter every week - and could do it more often actually - I guess it works pretty well at sucking up dust. I like the little bit of air flow going upward instead out outward like the other filter in the house. I keep it set on medium and it's pretty quiet. The highest setting is noticeably louder.
I think the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it isn't particularly attractive and is on the large side, but since it's a 360 degree filter I imagine it provides lots of filtration for the size.

This unit is everything we hoped. It’s quite and has done a great job of removing any odors from the bedroom. We are going to get the 211 to cover the living room and kitchen.

Very quite and it helps with odors. I don't really know if it clears allergens or covid or other bad things out of the air.

Very quiet at lowest level, great for the bedroom. Middle and high sound like a fan, helpful if you like white noise as background. Seems to be cleaning the air well

Disappointing Performance

I purchased this because this is the Wirecutter's current "budget pick" for small spaces. According to their review, it "performs impressively" (90% particulate reduction in 35 min) for its small size and energy efficiency. I suppose that I can't dispute the latter two points. It is indeed small, and I imagine that the power draw is minimal considering how quiet is when placed on the lowest setting. Now, it's possible that my expectations were too high after reading the Wirecutter's glowing review, but the Blue's actual performance has been somewhat abysmal for my use case.
I purchased two units, and placed one in 154 sq. ft bedroom that belongs to a family member who likes to use his electronic vape pod indoors. I'm a little sensitive to the smell, and it seems worse when there's stale air. Well, in the 4 weeks since I've placed this inside his bedroom (running on medium 24/7), I'd say the smell has improved 10-15%. I put the other unit inside my own bedroom (220 sq. ft.), and there does seem to be less dust than usual. But the difference isn't really dramatic. Lastly, two more cons: 1) the highest setting is basically unusable (unless you like the sound of being on the tarmac at LAX), and 2) there's no automatic air quality sensor.
I currently have a Coway AP1512HH in the living room and an older Winix 5300 in the loft, and both units run circles around the Blue 411. Granted, those units are twice the size (and price), but I still wish this were a better performer, especially considering how promising it seemed at first.

Begone, allergies!

I'm (almost) allergic to just about everything in the world, so naturally, my indoor allergies are terribad. I had just moved back home when I realized that my worst allergies happen there due to the horrible heating system in place. The heating system is the type with open vent on the floor that blows around all the dust and dirt every time it comes on. Sounds like a dream, right? Yeah, it's definitely my nightmare.
I couldn't get any sleep the first few nights I was back at home, so I went to BB and purchased this baby. It looked cool, had great reviews, and was on sale at the time, so I figured, "Why not?" Let me tell you I don't regret a thing... except maybe forgetting to change the filter earlier this week, which has resulted in a terrible allergy assault from which I'm still recovering. Upon changing the filter today, the allergy assault has died down, which it further proof that this thing works. I need to get one for every room in the house so I can breathe easy no matter where I go.

I like the design and how compact this filter is. Obviously this is the model that covers a little less area than the more expensive versions, but it's perfect for a small room. Very easy and fast setup and the replacement filters are affordable as well.
Includes two 'cloth filters' that go around the lower body. Mine included a blue and a black one.

We are fostering 2 Rag Doll cats and right away my sinuses were not happy, it felt like a sinus infection. I did a some research and saw that the Blueair Blue Pure 411 had excellent ratings. Went to Best Buy web site and saw that the local store had one. Immediately purchased it and pick it up the same day. I noticed a difference right away the first morning no sinus pain or irritation. It is super quiet and the light so dim it not notable that it is on.

Not The Best For Pets

I fear the space I put this air purifier in was just too much for it. I have two cats as well, so the amount of things floating in the air clogged it up too fast. The cloth cover needing to be cleaned alongside the filter needing to be changed was also kind of a hassle. I don’t think I would recommend this if you have pets! Go for something bigger.

Works well for a small room as it states. Replacing the pre-filter and filters is simple.
I got it primarily to help reduce tobacco smoke from a roommate. It does help reduce it enough to make a difference.
It does not do much on the low setting and medium is considerably louder. For noise sensitive people, it still emits an audible hum even when off.
I found it best to just run on low when in the room and medium/high when out. Position it next to where a source of contaminants or an odor may be coming in for best results.
When using a new filter there is a bit of a smell coming off of it. It does reduce greatly after some use.

I originally purchased it's bigger brother for the living room, but didn't want something that large in the bedroom.
I leave it on medium and only switch to high when the neighbor starts chain smoking and it leaks into my apartment.
I have tried other filters in the past, but this one really works!
