This is a pretty good-looking purifier. I appreciate the metal matte white finish as well as the side and top grills, which keeps it from being confused with a waste bin -yes someone thought my last one looked like one. Setting it up is easy enough -just plug-and-play. The top power button is responsive and allows for changing the speed of the fan as well. The button has an LED light that “softens” up in a few moments, and while it does not bother me at night, it is worth mentioning. The power cord is long enough, although I wish it would have been longer. There is an included additional filter, which looks like a leg warmer that goes over the bottom grill. I thought that might detract from the original look, but I ended up appreciating it quite a bit -it simply gives it character. The purifier is extremely quiet at the lowest setting -almost whisper-like, and I can barely hear it. At its highest setting, it can get pretty loud. Luckily, the highest setting is good when starting it for the first time and only for a couple of hours. Afterward, the lowest setting should do. In the time that I have had the purifier, it has worked rather well in the bedroom. While it may be difficult to judge the air quality by simply breathing normally without actual tests, I am quite sensitive to particles and so far I have not experienced any breathing difficulties and rested comfortably. Also, I did not detect any funky smells at all when I tried it next to the dirty clothes hamper for one day. I will say that it seemed as if the environment became a bit dry at the beginning and I found myself waking up a bit thirstier than usual. I set up a humidifier and this combo works great so far. For maintenance, the pre-filter can be machine washed and the filter inside can be easily replaced by twisting the bottom. Nice and simple. I think this purifier performs better than expected in my experience based on other ones I’ve tried. I find the value is perfectly right.

I know the scientific literature out there about the health benefits of air purifiers is mixed, but I feel it really helps. My son frequently wakes up at night with a stuffy nose, and it prevents him from getting a good night's sleep. After a couple of days of using this purifier in his room, he sleeps through the night! So in my book, it helps. This specific model by Blue Air has received great reviews after testing for trapping most household particles. It also traps smoke, which I'm really excited about. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and the wild fire smoke this past summer was terrible. I wish I had something like this back then. But now I'm ready, and am planning on buying a unit for most of the rooms in my house. On a daily basis, you just get crisp, cool air to breathe. This model is also very pleasing to look at (and you can change color so of the pre filter) and doesn't take up a lot of room on the floor. On normal operation, it is whisper quite. You really can't tell it's even on. The one button operation is simple, one touch cycles through the three different power modes. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and recommend it without hesitation.

This air purifier seems to be well made and durable. The design is very simple. The unit is rather large and needs to be in an open area, not hidden away, in order for it to work well. I have it on my bureau in my bedroom. The filter that comes inside the unit is said to last about 6 months and is very simple to change. You just turn the unit upside down and twist the bottom until it comes off, remove the filter and replace with a new one. This unit also comes with a “pre-filter” cover, as seen in the picture I have supplied. The pre-filter is simply a bit of fabric that you place around (slip over) the lower 3/4s of the unit. It is supposed to be removed and either vacuumed or washed once a month to remove any dust or lint that accumulates on it. At the top of the unit is the on/off and speed control button. Press it once and it turns the unit on and it runs on low. Press twice and it goes to medium, three and it goes to high and 4 times it will turn the unit off. It is quiet on low but as you go to medium then high it gets a bit louder. There are also lights on the top of the unit, one light low, two lights medium and three for high. The unit is good for 185 sq. ft. My bedroom is 12 x 15 so it is perfect for me. This will purify a normal size bedroom or living room. Works great and is quiet. On low speed, I can’t hear it running at all. On medium speed, I can hear it, but it doesn’t interfere with my television. On high it is perfect for me to use as a white noise in the background for sleep. Since I can’t open the windows in the winter for fresh air, this is absolutely perfect to get the outside fresh air feeling all winter long. I personally think this will be great for my allergies, as it seems to be helping them already after just a few days. No stuffy nose like I usually have. I recommend this product.

I live in Tx where from Nov to February, Mountain Cedar wreaks havoc on my allergies. Just breathing becomes a challenge going to bed and waking up. Once the Blueair arrived, I just dropped what I was doing and went straight to setting it up. Super easy setup, just slip on a filter cover and plug her in. There are only 3 settings, low med high. The noise level will be your personal preference. I set it up in my master bedroom to help me try to sleep at night. I was pretty hesitant as the 1st night I used it, my allergies were probably an 8/10. I am not a light sleeper and used the Medium speed setting. When I woke up, I was immediately turned into a believer. I could actually breathe. No running or stuffy nose. Just 2 open nostrils breathing in FRESH air. I cannot tell you how much I love it. It has been a week in the middle of cedar season and sleeping has never been better. For noise, low setting is QUIET. Like you have to put you ear close to make sure its even on quiet. Even the lightest sleeper will find this setting perfect. Medium is a step up. I would say the noise level is about the same as a PC with fans on. Not too bad, but perfect for me. High is a mini jet engine in your room lol. Unless you use high to purify the room when your not in it, I can't imagine anyone using that setting being around it. If you suffer from allergies like me, or just want something to purify the air in a room, I would recommend this in a heartbeat.

The product is well built and has the colored sleeves that helps it integrate in your room. It's VERY QUIET at Low and Med setting. The touch screen like on/off button it's pretty cool and has a pleasant white light to indicate power setting. The filter needs to be changed once every 6mths and seems to be way cheaper than competition. I would recommend this to a friend only if they have problems with dust or allergies for me doesn't make a big difference the only reason I didn't give 5 ⭐️ s

Great purchase for my sons room. We can definitely feel the difference in the air given we have two dogs in the house. It’s perfect and I haven’t need to change the filter out for the past 6 months yet. Accessories affordable!

This isn't our first Blue Air Purifier and won't be our last. I think we have one in most of the rooms in our home. I got this one for my home office where I spend a good 8-10 hours per day. The unit itself is small and unobtrusive. At its recommended "Low" speed setting it's absolutely quiet. The only way you'll know it's on is the light on the top. Even if it's on "High" the sound is equivalent to a quiet fan. I've always struggled with allergies, and as the weather warms up I like to have the windows open. This unit helps me manage those allergies well. I've been running it in my home office now for about 2 weeks and I've found a noticeable difference in the air quality. For the price point, the Blue Pure 411+ offers impressive performance, low power consumption, quiet operation, a minimalist design, and a high-quality build. You're getting high-quality performance for a budget price. The biggest drawback I could come up with is the lack of a timer, but I'd prefer to have it running 24/7 so it really didn't impact my purchase decision or my satisfaction with the unit.

Use this air purifier in a small bedroom. Very quiet and effectively cleans the air. Highly recommend. The power light on top is brighter than needed for a bedroom but a hockey puck takes care of that:)

Love this little air filter! Runs quiet and I can almost immediately tell that it’s working. I like the different color pre filter socks that go with it also.

i love this! this is a Great small room air purifier. It's very quiet. Good price the only thing i'd wish to see is it to be able to be connected to the app to see the stats of how clean the air is ETC.

I love this air purifier! It’s so small, efficient and stylish. The air in our bedroom now smells so fresh. Its also very simple to setup and use. I’d say the only downside is on high it’s a bit loud, but is pretty typical for the category. I usually run it on low/med and it’s just fine.

My son and I have terrible allergies and decided we needed purifiers. Upon looking up the best and the most for your money, this was the one which came up for both. We have only had them in for a week, but can feel the difference upon waking up and not being as stuffed up or chest full. I am sure it will only get better. AND quiet as heck!!

Has been doing a great job of catching dust and pet hair for the year that I have had it! Helped with my allergies a lot in my bedroom, no more waking up sneezing!

Very quiet and easy to use. Recommended by a friend with 2 cats which took the litterbox smell out of the air. Helped a lot with my pet allergies.

This is a really well designed product, with large filters that seem easy to change, simple controls (too simple, per the below) and nice touches (the power cable has a little magnetic piece that allows it to be positioned anywhere on the metal enclosure to help with cable routing). That perforated enclosure also looks great. That said, the fan is louder than I expected on the second and third settings and the only control is a three setting speed control. I ultimately went with an off-brand purifier that included a UV feature (though I'm dubious of its efficacy) and sleep/ timer function controls for quite a bit less.

I have 4 Blueair products and this is one of them. I have asthma and a cat (go figure) so I keep 4 of these (all different models) running at all times. I have very clean air and I love it. I also have extreme allergies to perfumes and other crap in the air. These help so much. Highly recommend this brand.

Blueair - blue pure 411 is so quiet. Love the size, the silence and convienince. The price was also, a bonus.
