    Nice Air Filter

The Blue Pure 411 Auto HEPASilent Air Purifier is a nice, compact unit. I think it looks a bit small to have on the floor, but according to the instructions, that is where you are to install it. The unit is pretty much plug and play as far as operation. The air filter comes with a colored fabric sleeve that attaches with Velcro. This is so that you can match your décor of the room where you are using it in. The sleeve that it comes with is grey, which is fine by me. First thing I did was sit and read the instruction manual (though there’s not a lot to this machine as far as setup). I was dismayed, though, by the first line of the Safety Instructions. I’ve included a photo of the text with this review. I’ve never read such a rude comment in an instruction manual before. I can understand what they meant, but as a parent of children with cognitive challenges, I didn’t appreciate the way they said it. I took off one star for that. I wish the company would rethink the verbiage. This is an Air Filter, not a sound mixing board. It’s not that complicated. I’ve also included the diagram showing how the unit works. I expected this to have a button that only needed a light or medium touch to start or change cycles. I literally had to smack the side of my palm on the button to get it to power on or to change modes. I also didn’t have the light patterns committed to memory, so I would continue to press the button to get the mode I wanted by sound. I’ve ran the unit mainly on Boost Mode. The white noise was better for me, as it was so silent on the lower modes, I couldn’t always tell it was on. If you are someone that WANTS a super quiet filter, I’d recommend this one. There’s also an indicator light to tell you whether or not it’s filtering properly. I used Boost Mode for the most part but did try it in Auto and Night Modes. When I did, the blue light (good) turned orange (not good). I turned the unit back up to Boost and the blue light has stayed on ever since. I do wish this unit operated with an app, or even had a small remote to make it easier to use. The Blue Pure 411 is a nice, compact, air filter for an average size room (I used it in a bedroom).

Good product but so far the customer service has been non responsive after 3 emails. I ordered a different colored prefilter off the main website and it had huge holes in a few spots. (Defective product) If you don’t have any issues with your product you should be fine.

I like the size and the look of it. In the automatic setting, you barely hear anything. In the highest setting, it can be louder and act as a white noise.

Moving to Texas from Arizona, I started to suffer bad allergy attacks, sneezing a lot, and having to take meds for it. I decided to get an air purifier. This one was a good price, and had good reviews. I definitely stopped sneezing as much. I like the white noise of it when am going to bed. It picks up on changes in the air quickly, such as an open window, or smells drifting in from the kitchen. I am happy with this purchase.

This unit is so quiet I will forget it's running! The look is sleek and something you don't mind having in your home. The light on the front lets me know how the air quality in my room is currently. I have not had to change the filters but the directions are very clear and detailed. I am sure it will be a breeze. My only issue with the unit is that I cannot seem to find the button on the top to push. I have to push and push all around the little circle on the top to start it, change the speed, or turn it off. Despite my difficulties with that, I do like this unit. I feel like my air is cleaner. They do strongly recommend making sure you get the right unit for the size of the room in which you plan to use it.

Quiet, Simple to Use Air Filtration

I received the Blueair - Blue Pure 411 Auto HEPA Silent Air Purifier for purpose of providing an honest, unbiased review. My wife and I both have allergies and we have tried many different room filters over the last few years. The Blue Pure 411 Auto is a silent, easy to use filter that I would put up with the best room filters currently out there. The unit has one button that you tap to turn on and change fan speeds. The auto setting, though, is the most interesting. The filter detects air quality and adjusts the fan speed as needed. I live in central Oklahoma. I've noticed on air alert days, that the filter's indicator lights have changed to orange or red and the fans are going stronger than on days without air quality warnings. Oklahoma currently has high cedar warnings, but my wife and I haven't sneezed or coughed since setting the unit up. The unit comes with essentially two filters. There's an outer cloth cover called the "pre-filter" plus the standard filter inside. The pre-filter can be vacuumed and machine washed. The filter inside the unit is supposed to last up to six months. When you replace the standard filter, be prepared that replacement filters seem to cost around $22 at Best Buy. I didn't see any local Best Buy stores with filters in stock, but it seemed like an easy enough item to have shipped or picked up in store. Pre-filters are a little bit more difficult to come by. It seems they sell standard for under $10, but most retailers I checked were currently out with new arrivals expected within the next 4 to 6 weeks. The pre-filters provide some customization as you can find them in other materials and colors. The device stands about 16 inches with a diameter of close to 8 inches. At that height, it's not the smallest room filter, but it's not unnecessarily huge, either. I like this filter. Set up is easy. It's usually very quiet and even when the fan kicks up, it never gets that loud. If you're searching for a new room filter, be sure to check out the Blue Pure 411 Auto. 5/5 I hope you found this review helpful. Thanks!

A no-frills air purifier that just works. The thing that makes Blueair stand out is the pre-filter that you can wash and change the colors. I actually really like this as it collects the larger dust particles and keeps the internal filter cleaner and working for longer. With 2 dogs in the house, this is necessary to ensure that the filter and air purifier are working. The purifier is significantly more quieter than the unit that I replaced. As well as it has a modern feeling and fits much better in the decor. The fabric prefilter looks really good and I am not staring at a plastic purifier, it just looks way more premium.

I really love this air purifier. It’s hard for me to know how well of a job it’s doing but I sure do love the look of it. The cylindrical shape is modern and discrete. It’s very quiet. Sometimes I walk up to it because I’m not sure if it’s on or not but it always is. My only complaint is it has a tiny blue light. In our bedroom at night I don’t like any lights on so I ended up putting a small piece of tape over it. Overall function is great and appearance is 10/10

    Silent Yet Helpful

--- SETUP --- The setup of the Blueair purifier is quick and simple. Out of the box, it is ready to be connected and ready for use. --- FEATURES --- The key feature of this purifier is that it is extremely silent. It also has an automatic sensor mode to determine auto-use and an easy to remove pre-filter that can be washed. A light will indicate for you the quality of air in the present room. --- PERFORMANCE --- The performance of this purifier is great! Living in Tennessee, we experience cold weather and closed windows with pets indoors. At night, I often get a stuffy nose and my wife reacts to allergens. I plugged in the purifier in our bedroom, as that’s where we spend most of our time with our pets. I didn’t tell her about the purifier and she’s used to seeing me connect various gadgets, so she doesn’t ask what I connect anymore. About three days after use, she made a comment on how she felt like she was breathing better or waking up without feeling her allergy symptoms. I personally felt that my stuffy nose wasn’t as stuffy as it would get prior to the purifier. That’s when I revealed that we’d been sleeping with an air purifier. She asked since when? I said for about 3 days now. Not only did we both discover how effective this purifier was, but it was so quiet that it wasn’t even noticed. --- EXPECTATIONS --- The product meets my expectations. It is so easy to forget that the purifier is on because of how silent it is. You can turn on the fan to run at faster speeds manually, but I just left it on automatic and didn’t worry about it afterwards. --- VALUE --- The price for the Air Purifier is just right for a peaceful, more cleaner sleeping experience. --- APPROVAL --- I highly recommend this product for people who own pets and want a silent solution.

Love this air filter! It has modes for low, med, high, and auto. This size is great for our bedroom. I usually keep it on auto, and I know it works because when my dogs walk by it, you hear it working harder haha! We live in quite a dusty area so it is definitely a must have in our household between the drafts in our older home and the dogs bringing stuff in. I love that the exterior cloth part is removable and machine washable. This thing is really quiet in low and medium modes and not bad on high. It looks nice and minimalistic as to not disrupt the vibes and I appreciate that! There are also different color options for exterior fabric that you can purchase separately if you choose to coordinate with your room decor, or just to have an extra on hand while washing one. Will definitely get the larger size for the living room!

This is what you have been looking for in an air filter at this price point. Right out of the box it is ready to go to work. It is a simple one button design which allows you to select your mode from either on/auto mode, night mode, everyday mode, boost mode, and off. Lights on top of the device will determine which mode you are on. Air quality levels are also indicated with a color light on the front of the unit. Red=polluted, orange=moderate, blue=good. General care and maintenance is a breeze with this purifier. My unit has been running everyday for about the last 3 weeks on auto during the day and night mode for when we sleep in our master bedroom. The unit still has not requested to change our clean the filters but I imagine it to be an easy task. It has a fabric pre- filter and one main filter. Use a vacuum with brush attachment for a quick once over on the pre-filter or if it is more dirty, it's machine washable. The main filter will need to be replaced with a new one. The last thing to maintain clean is the air quality sensor, swab it clean with a cotton swab.

Very easy to use and setup. I noticed that when I cooked something that made the house smell the air purifier would turn red which means the air quality is bad and once I cranked this bad boy on in my room the air purifier turned green which means the air quality is much better. For the price it does a good job for my small room. Overall pretty happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone who has a small room or area and is on a budget. Definitely a good bang for your buck.

Blueair - Blue Pure 411 Auto HEPASilent Air Purifier The Blueair Auto Air Purifier is an amazing product. The setup was remove from the box, plug it in and turn it on. I used the Auto setting and was amazed at the quietness of the machine. I checked it several times to make sure it was running. I could tell the difference of the air quality in the room where it was placed to the rest of the house. I do have dust allergies and feel this product will help relieve them. The cover over the filter can be vacuumed with the brush attachment and is washable. The machine indicator light changes to red when the filter needs replaced. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great Air Purifier for Small Spaces

Blueair's new Auto models are a great value offering competitive performance with an integrated air quality sensor that can automatically adjust fan speed. My favorite part about the Blueair Pure Auto line is they are standalone and you do not need to connect the air purifier to the internet. I don’t feel the internet of things is necessary to have a quality product, so it is refreshing to still have improvements made to standalone models. The Auto feature works great and was able to detect a candle being blown out across the room, adjusting the fan speed accordingly. Under normal operation, the 411 is whisper quiet. Even under moderate load the fan is bearable, but when set to high the noise is distracting at 48dB. Fortunately, the unit won’t switch to high unless you set it there or your environment has particularly poor air quality. Blueair does have two larger models that are sized for spaces over 200 sqft, but the 411 seems to work well enough in my space. The 360 filter design is ideal, though it is a little top heavy due to the bulk of the weight at one end. The fabric pre-filter is removable for easy washing and can even be interchanged with other colors. There is also an area that folds over offering built in cord management, a nice touch. All together, this provides a flexible, clean look that works with your space and isn’t an eyesore. If you are looking for a small purifier for a space under 200 sqft, the 411 Auto is the perfect choice to blend in and not have to manually adjust the fan speed.
