Much better than the dyson, it knows when your dirty ing the air with burning sage or ecigs and works harder. Price wise it beats the rest. When the blue light is on I know it is safe to breath again, red light means hold on.

keeps my small bedroom fresh and clean, silent until it hits high speed when it becomes audible, tho not distracting or annoying in anyway. only annoyance is the blue light, it does not turn off at night and lights my room blue.

I just took delivery of two of these units. As yet, I don't really know how they will perform. I wanted to post this quasi-review as quickly as possible, hoping it might help others if they choose to buy this Blueair product. After I unpacked the first of these units I plugged it in and tried to turn it on. A sticker over the top control button reads "Press once for auto mode". I did, and....nothing. I tried every approach I could think of to get the button to function, from pressing firmly, to touching as if it was a touch screen, to using a rocking motion with my fingertip, as if the button might be a rocker switch. No joy. Then I asked, how else might it work? So I tapped it, as if I was trying to press a keyboard switch very quickly without leaving my finger on the switch. It worked! Right now I have the units in separate rooms running on their highest setting. I live in West Texas and there has been a wildfire burning for days in the Mesquite trees to the west of town - I can't breathe! We'll see if these units are able to clear the air in at least two rooms of the house so I can breathe again. By the way, when started in Auto mode neither of the units detected problems with the air in the room (the Air Quality indicator was staying blue). Hmmmm.... The packing of the units is good. As usual, BestBuy got them to me very quickly. instructions in the Blueair boxes are marginal, and the web site was not helpful regarding how to use the top-mounted switch. Now I'll let them run for several days and revise my review based on longer term performance. If you buy one of these, tap the button to turn it on, don't press it.

Works fine in a small room. It helps to keep the air fresher and to keep the dust at bay.

Have 3 blueair air purifiers. I put this one in my office. It works great and stays very quiet.
