We have been looking for air purifiers for quite some time due to stay at home situation. My spouse is having sinuses issues and it is important to have clean air inside the home. I got BlueAir - Classic Series 680i Air Purifier. It came with excellent packing. Setup is really easy by removing the wraps from three high-quality double duty filters and installed on three sides. I have downloaded the BlueAir app from the iOS store after the registration. The instructions were very clear to integrate with home Wi-Fi so that it can be controlled via the phone app. The build quality is outstanding with a very classy look. I have placed the air purifier in the living room. There are few settings on the top of the purifier to see WiFi connection, Filter status, VOC, and PM status along with power on/off button and to change fan setting. In the app, there are various tabs to show PM 1 (particles are commonly caused by combustible fuels such as oil, gas, and coal), PM 2.5 (particles are typically created by car traffic, factories, cleaning fluids, cooking, and smoking.), PM 10 (particles are generally dust from construction or pollen), tVOC (total sum of chemicals in the air emitted from such things as detergents, paint, perfumes, and car exhausts), TMP (Temperature to show hot or cold the environment is), HUM (Humidity is the volume of water vapor in the air). Fan speed can be controlled either with 4 levels (0 to 3) or Auto mode. I have set it as auto mode and it works beautifully based on the situation. It is showing filter status (180 days to start with) which is really cool to track the installation date and life of the remaining filter to change on time. Schedules can be created in the app to run the purifier on specific days and times. In the Settings section, there are options to change LED brightness, Child lock settings. After the initial setup, I have captured the quality of air and its way above the recommended range. It ran for 30 mins at full speed and the levels were dropping below the range and status Polluted to Excellent. It is really nice to see the trend on each day both outdoor and indoor air quality. We cook a lot with oil every day and this air purifier recognizes the odor and turns the fan speed automatically to clean the air. It covers close to 750 square feet and comes with a dual protection filter to remove odors 4x faster, as well as 99.97% of airborne particles, like pollen, dust, pet dander, and more with HEPASilent filtration technology. The sound is on the higher side when it runs a full speed which is fine to fix the air quality. It is running only at full speed while cooking and the remaining time it is whisper quiet. BlueAir offers a filter subscription and details can be found on their website. I am really impressed with the features and air quality delivered by the BlueAir purifier and will be buying at least two more for the office and upstairs loft. It is one of the best air purifiers in the market and highly recommends to buy to enjoy pure air inside the home.

I have 4 of these they are great, the biggest thing is how much air they move and cycles per hour. You can also get the filters from Costco and save some money.

I've got allergies and always wake up with a stuffy nose. Haven't had any since I put this in the bedroom. The only downside is that it's too loud on the maximum setting and there are only 3 fan speed modes.

I'll be honest, I didn't really know how I was going to really evaluate this thing. But I was pleasantly surprised by it's performance. First off, setup and ease of use. Setup was fairly simple. Once unpacked, you just have to remove the plastic off the filters and then move on to wifi setup. It's pretty straightforward, and once you download the app, it walks you through to whole process. Nothing out of the ordinary if you've ever set up any other smart device. The app itself is pretty nice and user friendly. It lays out the air quality readings in a very understandable way. I don't quite understand what the different readings are, but I do understand that higher numbers = bad. It does give a simple explanation of what each reading means, so there's that. So when it comes to actual performance I wasn't sure how exactly I was going to evaluate it. The air in my house isn't all that bad, and the air sensors in the filter validated my thoughts on that. Then, after a few days with it, I had a friend and her kid over. After about 20 minutes, the filer kicked into jet engine mode (more on this in a minute). I checked the app, and apparently the air quality had been steadily declining from the time they got there. I thought about it for a minute, then realized, they have 2 giant dogs. So my guess is that their clothes and whatnot is probably covered in dander and they just take it wherever they go, and the filter of course detected that. Another day, we were burning a candle, and all was great until it got down to the bottom part, where you start getting a little more smoke than scent. And again, jet engine kicks on and check the app, and again, air quality had been steadily declining for a while. Put the candle out, let the filter do it's thing, and air quality was good again after a little while. So all in all, it seems to be doing a pretty god job of detecting unwanted particles in the air, and clearing them out pretty fast. Now, circling back to that "jet engine" sound I mentioned. There are 3 speeds, low, medium, and high. Low is virtually inaudible, and this is where is sits most of the time if I have it set to auto. Medium is slightly louder, but still nothing too crazy. No louder than a small fan. High is where it gets crazy. If you've ever had a small industrial fan, it pretty much sounds like that. This thing is loud. Luckily, when it kicks into that mode it cleans the air relatively fast, so unless your air quality is really bad, it shouldn't be on that long. Overall, I was very impressed with this unit. It does a fantastic job cleaning the air and it is relatively easy to setup and use. The high setting can be a bit loud for my taste, but it most situations it shouldn't be coming on that often, and not for very long.

Let me say my daughter and I have bad allergies and living in Florida, hard flooring, brings in a lot of allergens from the outside. This filter installed in the living room and its perfect! Has reduced my allergies and Ive noticed my daughter has been better as well. The app is easy to use and I like the fact I can adjust the settings on this. Filters are pricey but Id rather live more comfortable than be congested half the time

This is my second Blue Air. This Blue Air Purifier is very large. I want to apply for a warranty and emailed Blue Air to find out where the serial number is located. So far no answer from the company. Also there is no on/off switch for this Blue Air. I like to close all my equipments when I leave the house, so I must always pull out the plug.

This is a great air purifier for a large space. Of course, the fact that it's designed for a large space also means it's big, like end table size, but I don't see how you could move this much air without having a big unit. Setup is simple. There's no assembly, just take it out of the box and remove the plastic from the three large air filters. Connecting it to WiFi is easy using the Blueair app. Power and fan speed can be controlled directly from the unit, via the app, or set to automatically come on. Using the app, you can also put the fan on a timer. The on-unit controls are recessed under a flip up panel. It might seem like a small thing, but my smaller Blueair units have the light on top, and I have to place something over the lights in order to sleep. Having the controls and indicator lights hidden is a much appreciated feature at night. I don't have the lab equipment required to test air quality, but I trust the HEPA certification. For what I can directly observe, I can say that it did a great job with pet hair removal and greatly improved my allergies. There are three fan speeds, with low and medium being quiet and unobtrusive. High speed is loud, but you can set it on high while you're out to clear out a room, then tone it back down when you're in the area. Living in a place that gets smoke from wildfires, it's also good to know that I can filter out the particulates quickly. An effective, easy to use product, thoughtfully designed and well constructed. It's a winner.

A great buy!!! Given my wife's acute sense of smell, this air purifier has brought peace to our house like I haven't known in a LONG time. When one of our three sons comes through the door, she calls out: "Turn on the air purifier!" We've had others, but none this this!

Blueair 680i is a large air purifier. We have it set up in a living/dining room that is 16'x30' so with this model having the capacity to recycle the air in a 698 sq ft space, we are very happy with this purchase. BTW this is the 2nd Blueair we have operating in our home.

Just like the advertising states, this is a solidly built purifier. I own a number of air purifiers and this is by far the sturdiest. Overall it does a good job cleaning the air, and while the app allows for a few fun features, there really is only so much you can do in a portable unit like this. I’ve used this for a few nights while I slept and it does a good job of keeping the dust and allergens down so I wake up well rested and breathing clear. With the multiple brands and models I’ve used in the past there have only been a few that have worked as well in our master bedroom. The first thing you’ll notice is the size of this thing. It says it is for a room that is just under 700 sqft. However the unit is about 2-3 times bigger than another purifier I have that is supposed to clean over 1000 sqft. That massive size is the tradeoff for a much quieter unit. This purifier can have the same cfm with its bigger fan by having the fan move slower and thus quieter. I honestly can’t even tell that it’s on. That’s how quiet it is compared to my other units. Another thing that is a bit different about this unit is that it has three filters (top and the two sides) and then it blows out the clean air toward the bottom. This is a bit weird but I like that the multiple directions of input mean that I don’t have to worry as much about accidentally blocking the air flow. The controls are under the panel and are pretty simple. You really can only turn up the speed or put it to auto, once you close the cover the buttons are hidden and the lights are blocked (a real plus if you are using it in a bedroom at night). Most of the controls are in the app In the app it has sensors telling you the air quality and you can control the speed of the fan (or set to auto), control the brightness of the led on the front, or set up a custom schedule. This is pretty convenient in that I have the purifier in my bedroom and its nice to be able to have it programed to turn the light off when I’m sleeping but back on in the daytime so I know its running. My one complaint here is that the schedule only lets you control the led if you are setting a manual fan speed, and once the program is done you have to set it back to a manual speed. You can set the fan back to auto, but it just needs to be a separate schedule. That means if I want it to be at a specific led light and have an auto fan speed I have to run a series of multiple programs back to back. It would be nice if they just updated the program to give you more options when setting up a schedule in the app. The last thing I’ll point out is that you can’t turn this unit “off”. That makes sense if you want it controlled remotely it has to always be on ready to get a signal. I consider this a plus. If you are looking for a unit that you can put in a fairly inaccessible location this is the one for you. If the power goes out, this unit will be on when the power comes back. You don’t have to worry about getting access to it to flip a switch or push a button like many other higher end purifiers. Overall this is a great unit even if it is a bit bulky.

Filtered air in most the house

Even though this device claims it is designed for rooms up to 775 sq ft, I feel it has actually improved my entire 1800 sq ft house. Mainly because the main room in which I use the device is also the room in which my main air return is for the heating/cooling system. So, in turn it has helped filter the whole house. In the immediate area the difference is noticeable fairly quickly, but at the cost of noise level. In its highest setting it is like running a window AC unit at full speed. However, the other two speed settings are much quieter, they just don’t push as much air per minute. The entire unit is easy to set up and start using but fairly large in size. Just remove from the box, lift the top off, remove plastic wrap from the three filters and return them, plug in and begin. The app, which is listed as Blueair Friend in their manual has been replaced with just Blueair, guides you through connecting your new device to your 2.4Ghz WiFi network. The app requires location access, but uses this data to show you the air quality outside. The app can be used to control the fan speeds, set schedules and other settings as well as provides a running chart of the sensors in the purifier. This includes PM1/PM2.5/PM10, tVOC, Temp and Humidity which haven’t varied a whole lot other than tVOC which reacts to perfumes over the past few days I have had it running. As mentioned, I have noticed the difference fairly significantly throughout my house. Usually when coming home the first thing I notice is the smell of my dog. Now I have to be close to him or his favorite sleep spots to notice. I feel the real test will be this spring when my allergies really start to kick in, but so far feel that it will be a relief to step inside from the torture of all that outside. The only thing I’m not looking forward to is the replacement of these filters in 3 months.
