sensors that actually seem to work

I've had a few air purifiers that claim to have sensors that automatically change the speed based on air quality. Never seem to notice it. First of, this is a large unit, but it can clean a very large area, so keep that in mind. The set up is very easy. Unbox, take plastic off of the filters, plug in. You can also then set up the app and wifi so you can monitor and control it via your smart device. This was all easy to do and only took a few minutes. Use: When running on its lowest speed, you can hardly hear it. Virtually silent. When running at max speed though, it is very loud. I've only had it run at max speed a few times. Sensors: This unit will monitor the air quality, and run the fan speed based on what it needs. This works very well. I was cooking, and burned something just a little bit, and within a few minutes the purifier across the room started kicking up speed. The sensing seems to work very well, and you can even see on the app what the air quality exactly is, and what the particles in the air it senses. Overall, this is a very nice purifier, but it is expensive. It does work very well though.

The Blueair - Classic Series 500/600 Sq. Ft. Air Purifier - White caused me problems, because after plugging into the AC outlet, I was instructed to enable Wi-Fi connections with the Blueair Friend app. The Blueair Friend app was obsolete and the Blueair AB app was stated to be the new app for connecting to the Blueair Air Purifier. I could not get the app to connect via Wi-Fi with the Blueair Purifier. I kept being instructed to manually connect the Blueair Purifier by going to my phones settings and to join the classic-config network. I could not locate the classic-config network inside my phones settings. Using the Blueair Purifier manually still allows for control of speed of air flow so that air can still be purified. Air smells fresh with the Blueair Purifier and smoke from cooking or cigarettes can be seen dissipating as time goes by. I just wish that my phone could connect to the Blueair app for remote control functions to work.

The Blueair Purifier does a great job of cleaning the air in my home. I have it setup in the Family Room / Kitchen area. We also have a family pet dog. There were times when I could smell the trash that’s in the kitchen or the pet dog. I no longer notice those smells anymore. If we cook something in the kitchen the smell doesn’t linger as long as it used to. It says the fan is whisper quiet. I wasn’t sure if it was gimmick. It’s not. It’s super quiet. I can’t even hear the fan when it’s running in the first setting. I have to get near the unit and place my ear an inch away to even tell that it’s running. When I went to download the app for my iPhone the reviews were pretty poor. Many said the app would not connect to the unit. I wasn’t sure if I would have similar issues, but it connected just fine and I’ve had no problems. So far I’m enjoying it.

Our young daughter has terrible allergies so we really needed a larger air filtration system for our main living area. The Blueair has been fantastic! The app is set to AUTO mode and we have all been breathing so much better! Less congestion and feeling great. The air filter is super quiet, unless we create some smoke while cooking then it ramps up long enough to clear that smoke from the room. Overall this is an amazing setup and I would recommend it to anyone!

The Blueair 680i is a sturdy, well-built machine! Much larger than I expected (26x24x14) but it's understandable since it covers such a large area (up to 698 sq ft). It was simple to set up - just remove the plastic from the (3) air filters and plug it in. Download the app, connect to your wi-fi network, and you're done. I ran the unit for about a week in my family room and was impressed at how quiet it was. You can't even hear it on the first fan speed "1", and can barely hear it on "2". At level "3" it is noticeable but not any more so than an oscillating fan. Via the app I was able to monitor the unit and was pleasantly surprised that my air quality was "Excellent". After a week I decided to take the unit to work and use it where I suspect the air quality could be improved. Although a little heavy to lift, the wheels make it easy enough to roll around. After a few days in the office my co-worker and I noticed that the air quality seemed better and there was definitely less dust. One afternoon I noticed that the TDOC sensor light was orange. I opened the app and discovered that something triggered it but that over the course of the next few hours, the air quality had returned to "excellent" once again. Overall a fantastic product. It might be a tad expensive but seems to be well worth it!
