The Bob works, but the docking station can't be used if you place it on the carpet as Bob's weight will make it impossible to dock himself. I kinda like the thing and got it cheaply, but it's certaibnly not a $750 gadget

    Unfortunately Disappointed

I bought the Pethair vacuum and was sent the upgrade to the Pethair Plus. I thought this was a good deal and was pleasantly surprised at the marketing approach. It worked because we wanted to like this thing, and gave it several "benefit of the doubt" with its dysfunction. FIrst use, this thing is LOUD. I heard it outside cleaning the yard kind of loud. No chance to have it run while your relaxing at home. It can be programed, so good. Run it while at work. However, Bob is like an toddler and needs to be watched. It struggles to go from hardwood to a rug, maybe 1/4 inch thick, not to mention going to carpet. It gets stuck and rocks until it runs out of battery. Another attempt it jammed itself under the couch and shut down. It will not stop when there is resistance to anything but the bummper. So the couch clears the bumper, but not the whole unit. It scratched itself up completely doing the same under the cast iron coffee table. It does this when it does fit somewhere clearly. It gets stuck under chairs that it cannot figure out how to get out from and kills the battery. Bob has NEVER run a complete cycle while I wasn't home to constantly redirect it. Kinda defeats the purpose of a self cleaning robot vacuum. The sensors do not work either. Bob has gone down the stairs at least three times or gets a wheel stuck over the top stair and turns off. I reset it and it goes directly to the stair to do the same thing. I take it accross the room and it goes back to the stairs and goes down. So far I have been able to repair the damage, but it can't take that tumble anymore. I have to set a barrier to prevent it. I would gladly return it, but it is damaged and I believe is past the return date. For the price of $200 on sale and getting the upgrade, I cannot complain about the cleaning power when it is functioning. It does hold a lot of dog hair and cleans well on hardwood and (when I place it there) carpet. I would be appalled if I paid over $800 for this thing. I would suggest to keep looking for a different product.

I don't normally write reviews but I really like this product so I decided to try it. I bought this because we have a golden retriever in the house and I needed help with the spring hair shed. This thing picks up everything, works so well as a vacuum. Bounces around but I feel like it covers the entire area eventually. A couple of issues that I have at my house, it may not apply to your situation. The little sensor on top makes it tall enough that it wont fit under my couch and loveseat and coffee table. Occasionally it will make it under the couch, then cant make it out so I have to pick up the couch ever so slightly. The only other issue I have is that no matter how many time I sync the base to the unit, it will not retreat to the charging base. I literally carry it to about 5 feet away and re-sync only to have bob scoot the opposite direction once I sit back on the floor. With these issues I cannot program it to run while I'm gone, but I do start him up every day on my lunch break. so that I'm there if he needs me. Overall a good product and I'm glad I bout it, just wish my furniture was 1/4" taller. I got it on a deal of the day for $199, so I feel good about it. Had I paid full price, I would probably return it.

This was my first robot vacuum, so I can't authoritatively compare it to others. But first: the things that probably apply to all robot vacuums. It gets stuck. You need to pick up the floor of all cat and dog toys, for example, just like you probably would for regular vacuuming. It will also get stuck under certain heights of furniture that it can barely wedge under. It also gets stuck trying to climb up onto our two fireplace mantles that are about a half inch high. And it will get stuck on any area rug with fringe. Now for things that are specific to this model. I use the exclusion box to keep it away from the rug with fringe, but this means I still need to vacuum that rug and sweep around it manually (I suppose I could just cut the fringe off). There really isn't a solution for the fireplace mantles and odd pieces of furniture unless I buy a few more exclusion boxes. We have a complicated layout on our main floor. Because it does not have mapping capability, it tends to do some areas more than others. It also gets lost trying to return to the base when the battery runs down. I end up just carrying it back more than half the time. The directions say to try moving the base to another location, but there are only a couple places that aren't in the way or visually incongruous. However, the semi-random pattern that the engineers designed it with seems to work pretty well. My advice is not to watch it, or it will be frustrating. It might miss a piece of lint that it is very close to five times in a row. It will not vacuum an area the same way a human would, so you just need to get over that. The huge advantage of not having the mapping capability is that I can use it on all three levels of our house without confusing it. (Can other robots store separate maps for separate floors? I don't know.) At least with this one, I don't have to buy three robot vacuums. Of course, when I use it on the upstairs bedroom level, for example, I have to carry it up the stairs to start it and down again when it goes to the recharge/find-the-base mode. This all having been said, the few times that I have to rescue it each vacuuming cycle and the places where I need to do touch-up manual cleaning still do not detract significantly from the enormous time-saving benefit that I get from using Bob.

Great product backed up for an outstanding service

The 4 stars are for the inconsistencies on the pairing process to the docking station and remote control, but after the Boobsweep is configure, works amazing, all the smart vacuums on the market are not really 100% smart, if you can assume that not robot in this days for our everyday use is going to surpass the human performance. If you can vacuum your house without moving any furniture piece, toys, tools, floor mats.etc, you Boobsweep will do it. This vacuum come with 1.year warranty on the electronics and 2 years warranty on the battery accompanied.with an outstanding customer service. I set up my vacuum to clean my house 7 days a week until battery is completely.exhausted. the normal running time is 1:20 per full charge. The full charge takes approx 4 hours. After.almost 1 year of use my side brush motor stops working and my battery performance deteriorated around 50 % but I just contact Boobsweep for a claim and they respond my request immediately, and not only that, my new Battery and parts were delivered 48 hours after my claim was accepted. Boobsweep vacuum pet plus is a great product backed up.for.a.great.warranty. for the best performance of my vacuum I make a deep clean removing all the brushes and front wheel once a month my vacuum always perform and work fantastic. I just use Windex for and a soft cloth for the body of the vacuum and looks like new. My house is 3000 SqFt and the vacuum is capable to clean most part of my house with one charge and just a couple of times I had to rescue my vacuum from the hidden spot on my house. Not a big deal considering all the extra time that I have for my personal things to do. I don't have pets but my wife's long and thick hair compensates the hard work to collect hair all around my house. Removing the hair for the roll brush, side brush and front wheel is really important to keep the performance of Boobsweep. Overall, I really recommend.thisn product for your house, office, business or just for an extra hand at home. The product is loud but is powerful, so I prefer to setup my cleaning schedule at 9am.or before 9pm so it wont bother my family time.

This vacuum was simple to setup & works very well. I set it on a schedule & it starts each morning & it cleans for a while then returns to it's base. It goes under one couch, around the other, in & out of rooms, over area rugs. My dogs shed a lot & play outside every day & this keeps my hardwood floors dirt & hair free. It's easy to clean & care for & comes with everything you need plus some extra. The customer service is some of the best I've experienced. There's an actual human you can keep in contact with for questions or concerns about your robot & this person genuinely cares & wants the robot to work hard for you. It makes my life easier & my floors cleaner.

    Overpriced Basic Robot Vacuum

I have owned two other brands of robot vacuums and this is by far the worst one. A vacuum that originally costs $899.00 should work a lot better. Setting it up is very easy. I charged it for a full 24 hours before I used it for the first time. It ran for about an hour and It never completed cleaning a room in its entirety. You have to “baby sit” it and guide it, using the remote, back to the room to complete cleaning it. It keeps going back and forth on the same areas and never covers a full room. There are some areas that it never even comes close to. It will also avoid the side of walls. So, your areas along the base boards never get cleaned. I left it in a 10 X 10 room and it for a full 60 minutes and it still did not finish cleaning the room. It runs around aimlessly and has no particular pattern. It is also very load. The loudest robot vacuum I have ever had. And very large so it can’t go in between your dining room table chairs and other furniture. It will not make it back to its charger even after it has been synced to it and the remote. The unit is completely overpriced for the basic features it has. It does not map your home. It does not connect to your wifi in the home. It is not app based; you get a hand unit remote to program the vacuum which is super clumsy to operate. The unit is really thick and gets caught under any cabinets. It has poor navigation and stays in one room entirely too long. It cleans for less than an hour and takes almost 2 days to charge back up. This unit is so loud that I have to leave the house entirely when it runs. It also does not come with a self emptying container for the price. The owners manual states that this will run back and forth in rows, which is barely does in about 5 foot lengths. It only really works on hard surfaces and not on carpet. The mopping part is worthless as the attachment will dry up in five minutes and you have to stop the vacuum and get the mop attachment damp again. I would suggest staying clear of this brand and go with another more reputable robot vacuum brand.

It works really well especially with my German Shepard which sheds a lot. It does get stuck around throw rugs. Its not too loud but my dog doesn’t like it and barks at it. Seems simple to use but you do need to read some instructions. Overall I would highly recommend. The instructions are great

Bought for $200 to try this type of vacuum out. It wasn't able to get over a .5 inch lip in the floor to the rest of our house otherwise we might have kept it. Noise: you have to raise your voice to talk, can't really watch a movie or listen to music. BUT our cat who runs to other rooms for the normal vacuum only ran to the side of the room for this guy. So not as loud as a normal vacuum. Cleaned better than a dust mop; floor looked visibly cleaner. We only ran it once, but it spent most of its charge in half of the room it could reach. It might have gotten to 200 sq ft total. Seemed to handle obstacles fairly well, only had to extricate it once. Liked that it didn't use bags - more eco friendly in my opinion. Cleaning was a breeze. Ultimately, if I were to get one again, I'd want a quieter one that I could trust to go everywhere feasible. I can vacuum quicker and more thoroughly and not have to deal with the noise for as long. If not for the noise I might not mind it taking longer than me.

Glad I purchased on Black Friday sale. Not worth $900. Does a pretty good job overall. Frustrating to watch this machine pass particles, multiple times, on the floor without getting them up. There should be some sort of sensor that prevents that from happening. Takes over an hour to do what I could do manually in about 15 minutes. It doesn't map the room like it should. Definitely not for thick rugs or carpet. Gets stuck a lot. Cleans same spots multiple times and doesn't touch others. Nice gimmick but not as practical as it should be.

Bob really picks up a lot of pet hair and other stuff from the hard wood floors and carpets/rugs. Bob won’t make it across shag carpets/rugs. He runs for about 45-50 minutes on our hard woods and really saves us a lot of time everyday with sweeping up pet hair. In the future it would be nice if Bob would learn the layout of the sweeping area. Sometimes he will spend 3/4 of the time in one room repeating the areas he has already been instead of moving to the next room. We have the virtual wall which works sometimes but not every time. He does a nice job on the carpets on the second floor and I’m always surprised by home much he picks up because we vacuum regularly. I would recommend this product. Bob does a good job of navigating through 3 rooms and a hallway on our main floor. In one large room Bob would probably be fantastic.

My daughter bought BOB classic first, after seen hers I was curious and decided to give it a try. I bought BOB Pet Hair Plus Mop, I don't have a pet. I have grandchildren that drop cereal; I don't know if BOB is confused about the cereal, but it never picks it up. If I sit BOB on top of the cereal the suction is good. Also, BOB doesn't do well on thick rugs, it stop. Also, I wish BOB could find it's base. After using BOB I still would buy it again, it works, it just got a few kinks. My daughter and I both rise our furniture about a half inch. So if the manufacturer could design a model shorter I think that would solve that problem. If I could add a feature it would be wifi to use on smartphone.

I was so excited for the arrival of bob and really wanted to love him. However, bob is like a toddler that needs to be kept an eye on. I don't really trust setting up a schedule and letting bob run on his own without anyone home. As other reviews have mentioned, HE IS LOUD! Bob is just as loud as turning on a regular vacuum. Bob does a great job at picking up large clumps of hair from our 2 long-haired cats and a german shepherd though! I was impressed by bob's ability to maneuver through the legs of our kitchen table, but there seems to be no actual pattern of where he goes. He just mindlessly goes and changes directions when he bumps into something. I have one area that has only one way in and one way out and there is a piece of decor close to it. Well, it wouldn't fail that every time I turned bob on, that's the first place he goes and always gets stuck for some reason. I'm not sure why he has such difficult with one spot, but not others. I will be returning Bob and purchasing something that has navigational mapping.

This machine cost a lot less than most and I think I got what I paid for. It only runs for an hour (if that long) before needing a recharge. Then it doesn’t automatically finish its job, it’s done for the day. I don’t think it even realizes where it’s been and where it hasn’t been. Also, it cannot find it’s way back to the base unless it starts searching within ten feet. It’s almost like it has to backtrack it’s entire cleaning path, and it doesn’t have enough battery to do that. It does do a decent job of cleaning where it goes. We have long haired cats & dogs and a daily “quick” vacuum helps keep the hair down until I can do a more thorough job.

I have always wanted this vaccum but felt it was to expensive but when I got a dog that sheds profusely i just had to get it. The price was awsome because I got it on deal of the day and it works great. It comes with a remote that allows you to turn the device on and off as well as to make it go back to the charging station. Im am pretty sure the remote does more than that but that is as far as I have gotten! I would have gave it five stars but this device is noisy.

This is a follow-up review of the bObsweep PetHair Plus, purchased two years ago. This vacuum has earned it's price! It goes around a bedroom, down a hall and into several different rooms - these rooms have carpet, tile and linoleum - bOb doesn't care he just keeps sweeping everything up. I love having a remote to move him while sipping my coffee - because he does get stuck under some of the furniture - but all the brands I've tried, and my friends have, manage to get stuck at times. My family does papercrafting, sewing, lots of munching in front of the tv, our dog sheds year round, the golf course in back is continuously mowing, and, we have a wooded (leafy) yard - that means much of the ground is just dirt - dusty dirt! bOb cleans it up! I especially like being able to dump the debris/dust/etc into the trash versus buying bags! Recently customer service helped with a problem, they were terrific! I had to send out another review to say THANK YOU for this machine!

I have used Bob numerous times but I have not read the instructions to program it nor have I used the remote I just push the Go button to pick up debris and I have emptied the bin. So far it works great, minds it’s own business, occasionally gets stuck and for the $200 I paid it’s a relaxing bargain. And I do like that it dusts right along the floor/baseboard. One day I’ll try the mop, etc.
