BObsweep gets cat and dog hair - no problem

I purchased BOb because I have a difficult time getting under the bed, tables, chairs, etc. I no longer see dust bunnies lurking anywhere! My rescue cat & rescue dog are very sheddy and now all I have to do is turn on BOb and the fur/hair is swept up and I don't have to bend to get my floors clean.

its a big one. Its loud, tends to get lost. As for cleaning, darn good. It was just to loud and seemed not functional for us.

Great vacuum, and this thing could suck start a Harley but the battery dies pretty quick that is why I gave it 4 stars but other than that keep the routine maintenance done every week and you’ll never worry about dirty floors when you have company over

You get what you pay for. It does what it advertises but thats all. It cleans well but has to be empties frequently. The mop function works as advertised. The path it takes is eratic and ends up missing small spots. READ the manual to use it.

Impressive vacuum cleaning up after kids and pets

The very first day we used the bObsweep vacuum, whom the kids named "Cogmite", it showed us what was still in the carpets after vacuuming just days before. The extra large dustbin is well-matched to its cleaning ability. It really is a big bin compared to other robotic vacuums. But I wouldn't go a week before emptying as the instructions suggest, at least not until the floor is in good shape and just needs to be maintained. Although it's not WiFi-enabled it has nice features and a useful interface with buttons on the unit in addition to the remote. There are different cleaning modes and a "block" that can be used as a 10' long barrier to focus the cleaning in one area. We haven't tried the mop feature and have only had the vacuum three weeks. But the build quality is excellent and we don't expect it to have problems or parts wearing prematurely. The two year warranty is really nice for peace of mind, adding to its value. It's taller, at least 4", so doesn't get under all of the furniture. It's well made though, with nice feeling plastics that seems like a higher end unit. But due to its height, it did wedge itself under the kitchen cabinets on more than one occasion. There were things that took some getting used to, such as its random navigation that doesn't involve mapping the floor plan. It might spend the majority of cleaning time in only a few rooms, not visiting the rest of the floor, which meant using the "back-to-back" feature to keep the vacuum running after each charge. Cleaning time was usually less than an hour, sometimes 45 minutes, before it would start to seek out the charging base. It did end up stranded, not finding its way back to base, needing some help. And for anyone that wants a quiet vacuum, this is not for you. It's loud enough it's best to be on another floor or away from the house. We are really happy with it though, because the cleaning power is excellent. Keeping up after kids and pets is a never-ending task, and it makes us feel good watching it go to work each day. We already had a low-profile robot vacuum with longer charge capacity to cover the entire floor it mapped, but it doesn't clean as thoroughly as the bObsweep. Our solution: with two floors to be cleaned, use two robots that are different and complement each other. Then swap the units floor-to-floor to get the best of both worlds. Other reviews rave about bObsweep customer service, and I have to agree they've been responsive, answering questions and making suggestions. They seem like a company that stands behind their product. Overall I recommend it, keeping in mind its strengths and limitations. The dirt sensor does keep the traffic areas in better shape, and the UV disinfectant is a nice feature in the pandemic world we now live in.

This is a level up from a hand-held dustbuster. The difference is, you need to let this robo vacuum "discover" where the dirt is in your house. It's fun to watch and it does do a pretty good job, but it is SO RANDOM in the way it runs around. Look, if you have a small hard surface floor area, and don't want to take 5 minutes to vacuum, set this robot to do the work in about 45 minutes. It's got GREAT suction. It is also pretty loud, so don't set it to work at night. If you can get a deal on it, give it a try. It's kind of cool.

After a few weeks of using this Bob I am happy with its performance and the amount of dog hair it has picked up on both wooden floors and carpets. The larger-than-normal trap gets filled up, but it allows me to complete a cycle before having to discard the dirt and fluff. The only downside is its inability to figure out that rug fringe should be ignored. After blocking the edges of the two rugs I have with fringe, it works great. Also consider turning off the auto-edge detection at times for a smoother coverage of variable (rug and floor) surfaces. The instructions are precise and easy to follow.

I have owned robot vacuums before, but this was the first time I invested in a good one and boy am I glad I did. We love Bob. Being a household with 2 dogs, 3 kids (one of which is crawling), we need a robot vacuum to keep up. The best part is, I feel good after he runs, even if I have dishes in the sink, at least the floors aren’t grimy! The only thing I am trying to figure out is if I can add a little bit of height to my couch legs so Bob can sweep under them too! Oh one more thing, the customer service team at BobSweep is awesome. Before I even got him running I lost the screws for the little edge brush, they very quickly sent me new screws and an extra brush free of charge and Carlo was so nice about it!

I’m shocked there are so many good reviews! This is my 3rd robot over the years and it’s the worst I’ve ever purchased. Had it not been on Best Buy’s Deal of the Day, there’s NO WAY it’s even close to being worth $899!!!!! I’m returning it after watching it go in circles for two days. It runs out of charge because it just spins endlessly. It smears dirt all over the floor and it’s LOUD!!!!! It’s too tall to go under any furniture and it gets stuck on area rugs that have zero pile! It’s not even worth the $199 on the deal if the day. Bye Bob!

Vacuums good, has a habit of getting under dining table and just tends to stay there, plus it goes under a hutch I have and gets stuck. I’ve left it cleaning and have come home twice and it’s been stuck under different items at my house.

This unit works surprisingly well although it’s a little noisy. I just turn it on and leave the room for an hour and when I come back the carpet is all fluffed up and looking good! Super easy to empty too!

We acquired a cat so wanted to stay atop of floof fluff. Our entire home has espresso laminate and so dust and cat hair visibly accumulate QUICKLY. I had always been interested in a robotic vacuum, but the price point of $500+ was beyond our budget. After researching brands and their features, watching video reviews, reading reviews from various platforms, and one tragically refurbished gr**on unit, we were able to purchase a new BobSweep. We decided based on price point to get the PetPlus, and we have decided that we will purchase large ticket electronics ONLY at Best Buy. We are consistently pleased with the quality, price and availability of products at our local Best Buy. Even though our local store is about 2 miles away this was at the first bloom of COVID-19 so I had it delivered. It arrived quickly. It needs to charge for several hours before use and comes about 90% assembled. You have to add the side brush and main brush. It comes with a device that is supposed to create an invisible barrier, a remote, wet pad, extra brush, cleaning tool, screwdriver, bumper pads and instructions. You do not need any additional tools to get started. The remote is for manual control and programming a cleaning program. I’m not tech savvy at all, I managed to program it but it didn’t seem to hold the program. It would usually not run at all despite showing the schedule on the remote display. It has different cleaning modes and I have tried them all but the best one I feel is the deep cleaning mode. This is the longest cycle. After 2-3x weekly usage she began to act strange. She would wander aimlessly, beeping but not vacuuming. I contacted customer service and Gabe confirmed eligibility for warranty. After some technical troubleshooting he determined that she would need to see the BobDoc. He then sent a prepaid label. Roughly 3 weeks later, we received a working unit!!! I think there may have been some other issues with our first, I swear it seems this one is more intelligent. The first one constantly rammed itself under furniture and didn’t maneuver as smoothly. Every cycle it would get caught on the one lip in our house. This one has neither jammed itself nor gotten hung up on the lip. Provided she lasts more than a year, I would consider this an excellent buy. I don’t know how we kept on top of a clean floor without this machine!

This is our second bObsweep PetHair Plus; the first was purchased in 2014. There are some significant improvements, but the main quality of this robot vacuum hasn't changed. It's a bit of a bull in a china shop. It'll push furniture around, and might knock precariously perched stuff over. Nevertheless, it has a few really important qualities. 1) suction is *excellent* 2) capacity (both bin and battery) is fairly high. 3) it can go over ledges that are more than half an inch high. There are plenty of robot vacuums that meet the first two, but nothing else I've encountered - from the cheapest Chinese no-brand to the top-of-the-line Roomba (okay, we haven't tried the s9+ yet, but the i8+, at least) - has been able to surmount the third. And we have a recessed tile kitchen. The wood floorboards have a slope down to the tile, but it's fairly sharp, and none of the other robots could traverse it. In fact, the majority flat out got stuck, they couldn't even back off and retry. The bObsweeps, though? They just ram their way over the ledge and keep going.
