I love how easy it was to setup and create a schedule! The only complaint I have is that he has a hard time finding the charging base if he goes to another room. Almost everyday when I get home from work I find him somewhere with a dead battery. But my floors are vacuumed so I don't complain! He also occasionally gets stuck under the edge of my couches, but not often.

Cleans great. Gets all the pet hair. Goes all over my house and finds its way home to dock. Only complaint is it’s a little noisier that I expected.

Great vacumn in homes with pets. Does excellent job of picking up pet hair and cleaning floors. I have wood, ceramic tile and carpet. Works great on all of them. My only complaint is I wish it was a little thinner in size. It catches under my kitchen cabinets, therefore I have to put towels or something to keep it from going under them. I sill would recommend this product.

I love having this and as a busy mom this gives me one less chore to do! Within a few months of having this, I did have to replace a part, but customer service was great to work with. I received the replacement part and instructions within a few days and even a follow up email to ensure everything was working. The down falls about this product is that it does get stuck under the kitchen cabinets and under the corner of furniture. Also, it does go in random patterns so I think there are spots that get missed. Overall this saves me so much time.

This thing works pretty well. It's my first robot vacuum and mostly meets my expectations, but it is a little frustrating how often it seems to get stuck on things. Does a decent job cleaning though, and it's pretty easy to use/clean.

Loud and Does Not Remember Your House

Don't bother to program this to work while you sleep if you live in a one story house. This thing is quite loud, but it works great. It doesn't remember you house so it works by operating off a set of programmed routes. We find that it works well for our purposes but it isn't a "smart" device. Sometimes it has a hard time finding it's home to recharge. It really does have to have 2 feet on either side and 10 feet in front to find it's home even in the same room. If it goes around a corner into another room, the chances of it returning to it's home are slim. I still really am happy with my purchase, because we live in a small home with 6 people and having the extra hand to vacuum a room is such a help!

Excellent vac for pet hair

We have had the bObsweep for a month and it is excellent. Very easy to set up. Comes with extra brushes and even a screw driver. We have a very furry dog so we wondered how effective it would be. First day the brush got full of fur in 20 mins (despite cleaning with the old vac before first use). We had to unclog it and pull out all the fur. We realized that the bObsweep is more powerful than our (year old) upright vac. Now we use bObsweep every day and it keeps the carpet perfectly clean. Also very easy to program to clean while you are out. Excellent product at a reasonable price.

So, got this on good deal with daily deals,
replaced an older Roomba that just gave up the ghost.
I'm impressed with the battery life, better than the Roomba even after new batteries.
Bob doesn't bang into the furniture and other things as much as our other one, it's easy to use, cleans as good as the Roomba.
favorite feature is the remote control, I use that to move it where I want it to clean if I'm busy or on the phone, have used it to just clean up a big mess by being able to go over and back and forth, etc...
we will see how it last, so far so good, solid build, seems to be well built.

Overall one of the best purchases we have made this year. Very pleased with the product and especially the customer service. We are ready to purchase a second one to gift our parents for Christmas. Bob works very very well and catches a lot of dirt that we didn't know existed. Keeps our floor clean through the week. The only downside (and the only reason we don't give it 5 stars) is because Bob sometimes has an issue finding its base. Customer service is amazing! Within 48 hrs we recieved a welcome email, offered us pointers and useful maintenance info, and answered our questions within 24 hrs. It truly gave us a piece of mind with how responsive the service was. Highly recommend this vaccuum!

Oh, Bob. When I first saw Bob on Best Buy's Deal of the Day page, I thought, "man, that's a great value, I'm gonna get that!" Sure, I'd read the other reviews saying that Bob just goes around in circles and doesn't really do much of everything, but c'mon, a robot vacuum AND mop? How could I go wrong?
I got Bob, and bObsweep sent me an adoption card for Bob (my last name), which I thought was a nice touch. I put Bob together, read the instructions, attached the little Swiffer-esque piece that's supposed to be the mop, and sent Bob on his way, and immediately realized that as he has no "smart" features, Bob is a pretty dumb robot.
Yes, much like the reviews I read before purchasing, Bob just went around my living and dining rooms with no rhyme or reason, so apparent desire to go in any specific direction. Sure, when he'd get to a new spot he'd pick up dirt or dust, but he would take forever to get to a new spot. I tried to use the mop attachment, which you use by putting water and soap on the Swiffer-like pads and letting Bob go do his thing. He got half my living room done before the pad was dry and he was no longer mopping my floor.
And then, as if you're not yet feeling that Bob is the dumbest robot you've ever met, in my experience, he can never find his charger, and once you get him on it, he doesn't want to stay there. Bob has been sitting idle for a few months now because, really, it's much faster for me to vacuum everything myself. But still, the adoption papers were a clever touch.

This is my first robotic vacuum. After the first use I was impressed. Bob does what I need him to do. He gets up the pet hair and dust around the house and under the bed. The two cons I see are 1)he bumps into things and the dirt compartment pops open and stops the machine 2) I have to direct him where I want him to sweep. I'll turn him on and walk away. When I come back it's like he cleans the same area over and over and not the whole room. It could be how my house is set up. All in all it's a decent product.

OMG better than we thought it could be! We have had Bob for a couple of weeks now and continue to be impressed. We have both fairly dense carpet and wood floors and he does great on both. I will admit, we are not setting him to clean remotely while we are away as there are some challenging places where he gets stuck and can't get himself out. We typically turn him on in the evenings when we get home from work-the noise level does not keep us from watching TV or carrying on a conversation even when he is in the same area. We have 2 indoor cats and 1 indoor dog as well as 2 outside dogs who come in to visit. It is AMAZING the amount of animal hair Bob picks up--and no more dust bunnies along the baseboards:) As I mentioned, he does get caught in some places--our sectional couch is just the right height that he will get caught if he comes at it at an angle-and the nap on the carpet makes it hard for him to get unstuck. That does not seem to be a problem on the hardwoods--seems he moves faster and therefore bumps into things a little harder and can work his way out of a tight spot. Is he perfect? No but he sure vacuums a lot more than we ever did. Great investment--especially since we got him as a deal of the day! Our floors look better than they have in years!!

We have two indoor dogs so I purchased this to help combat the hair problem. The vacuum works quite well for a living and dining room sized area. It does occasionally get hung up near obstacles (such as furniture). I was honestly surprised and how effective it was.

Overall, it's a good robo-vaccum. It picked up all of the pet hair without a problem. Make sure to clean the wheels often if your pet sheds a lot because hair will jam up and stop it from functioning fully. The bot is a little loud and often gets stuck under furniture if the gap from the floor is high enough but they have accessories to purchase to stop that from happening. It cleaned our 1600 sq ft house on one charge with more to spare.

When I saw this on sale in January, I thought "Wow! I'm game" After all, having a Roomba makes a teenager seem like a good option for vacuuming. It has to be better than that, right? I wish I could say it was so. I gave 'bob' every opportunity to prove itself.
The first unsettling experience was the hookie "Hi, my name is Bob [lastname]" on the outside of the box. Why? Anyone who has owned a Roomba knows we all have our pet name for them. Don't tell my your name. I will decide your name. And Bob? The LAST name I would give my appliance is Bob. I was willing to let the sketchy marketing slide.
Next, you open the box. and the bag surrounding the device is emblazoned with EULA notifications. By accepting opening the bag you agree. Immediately, I had to dig into why would they be so bold faced about this. I was pretty sure it was a non-WIFI device, so I double-checked I was not giving up permission to have them stalk me in my house. Rest assured, it is not. What it appears to be is protecting them from stealing their IP for the software running the vacuum. Believe me (as you will see later on), you do not want to steal it.
I spent more time trying to babysit the thing than it actually takes me to vacuum by hand. There was not one time the vacuum actually completed a cleaning without some sort of error. The most common error occurred when not being able to navigate over the edge of my runner from hardwood floors. There is a setting to disable some functionality for dark rugs, so I did the same because my floors are dark. This didn't solve the issue of the edge of the runner, but did help it to navigate the floor better. The only problem is, if it runs out of charge, it loses the disabled setting.
The runner passes my stairwell and regularly, it would get stuck in the corner spinning in circles trying to find its way down the runner and the giving up and going back into the corner. It wasn't just dark floors and runner edges that confounded 'Bob'. My living room rug (light colored picture) gave it no end to trouble. My shadow of the counter in the kitchen on a sunny day caused Bob to flee in fear.
Then, Bob destroyed the threshold going back and forth into my bathroom one day. The screw that holds the cleaning brush sticks out and every time it tried to figure out the floor color change, it scratched the surface of the threshold.
I decided I would switch floors with my Roomba. My upper floor in wall to wall neutral carpet. Perhaps this would be the perfect environment for Bob. No go. Bob ended up under my bed. Banging into the center post. It was unable to backup enough to turn and just kept reversing about 1" and banging back into the center post. I squirreled myself under the queen size bed and moved it to the side so it could escape. It turned, banged into the center post and then, again, was unable to escape.
When I say I gave it the college try, I can tell you I had 2 days left on the return policy when I finally packed it up and brought it back to the store.
How does it vacuum you ask? Well, that would be the one point where the Bob outperformed the Roomba and and my Bissell. During the period before it lost its mind under the bed, it collected a significant amount of dust from the same space the Roomba runs on a daily basis. But, all in all, I would rather search for my Roomba on a frequent basis than deal with the headache (and damage) caused by the Bob
