This vac works ok but you really have to be around because it is always getting stuck on something and it can never find its way back to the base.

Really wanted to like this but final execution of product, lacking wi-fi and other features, as well as tall and gets stuck easily transitioning from hardwood to carpet.

The little robot is a hard worker and does what mfg claim. It has many clean modes and goes to town when unleashed. It gets stuck on furniture legs from time to time but will free itself if allowed to do so. Maintenance is very easy, good cleaning of the wheels and under surface periodically. I'm very happy.

The idea is great, set it up and let Bob do your cleaning for you. In practice though it doesn't work as well as we hoped. Programming it is the problem, nowhere near as easy as it is claimed and we're not there yet. And Bob finds going from hard floors to rugs a chore, whirring away until he has to find reverse. And he gets stuck against certain pieces of furniture. A work in progress.

I purchased the Bobs Pet Plus and it works like a charm. On the first time through the house, it picked up dust I had no idea was there. It got under the bed and couch but does get stuck at one particular area in the kitchen. The block can be used to stop it from going in that area. It is a powerful vacuum. It does have a hard time getting back to its base on a regular basis.

The BObsweep Pethair Plus is a decent product. The BBosweep seems to have a extremely random pattern. Sometimes it's very effective, sometimes it's not. The BBobsweep is also just a little too tall and frequently gets stuck under the dishwasher. When it's pattern is working, it picks up quite a bit of pet hair and dirt from my tile and hardwood floors. The customer service is second to none.

This is my first ever robot vacuum and its my favorite gift iv ever received. We use this vaccum on our hardwoods to clean up pet hair from 3 cats and a dog and it's been a life saver. I like to have it run every morning while I'm home just Incase it gets stuck. Iv only ever had an issue with it getting stuck under our dishwasher but other than that it moves freely across a few small rugs. I love that when the battery gets low it will go charge itself (it takes a little bit of searching but eventually it does make it there). Bob is easy to clean and overall a great addition to our house!

I don't know what I would do with my bObsweep! I have a dog and cat that leave my wood floors constantly hairy. I upgraded to this vacuum after purchasing a cheaper robot vacuum. The bOb performs well above any other vacuum I have tried! Let's be honest, no robot vacuum is perfect...they are bound to get stuck in some areas. I do have to help bOb out every once in awhile in getting unstuck from tight spaces, but it does a great job at finding it's way back to the charging port. Overall, I love my bOb and hitting "go" and coming back to a clean house.

To start off, this is my first robot vacuum and my regular vacuum is a Kirby. I have two white German Shepherds and they are indoor dogs so I constantly have to sweat and vacuum my house. Around my kitchen and dining room was the worst part of dog hair. A friend of mine mensioned what a relief it was when she got a robot vacuum so I decided to give it a try. I saw Bob on special and took the chance on him. It was awesome to come home and not a single pet hair on my tile. I read other reviews where they say Bob gets stuck going from time to carpet, but he goes into my living room and I never saw him get stuck in the carpet. He does get stuck under my island on occasion but I'm sure I can fix that. The islands base is just the right height for him to get stuck underneath. Other than that I have no complaints on Bob. When I'm home I look to see what he does and after doing research, I found that they make robot vacuums to follow grid lines. Much more expensive but I can see how that would be so much easier for him to clean. Bob takes a while to get the whole kitchen, and sometimes more than one charge. I'm glad he finds his way to the charger to continue his mission. Totally happy with my purchase and extremely happy with the customer service I received when Bob got sick. I sent him in and they fixed him up and was back to me in no time. Two thumbs up for that.

This was my first robot vacuum, so I can't authoritatively compare it to others. But first: the things that probably apply to all robot vacuums. It gets stuck. You need to pick up the floor of all cat and dog toys, for example, just like you probably would for regular vacuuming. It will also get stuck under certain heights of furniture that it can barely wedge under. It also gets stuck trying to climb up onto our two fireplace mantles that are about a half inch high. And it will get stuck on any area rug with fringe. Now for things that are specific to this model. I use the exclusion box to keep it away from the rug with fringe, but this means I still need to vacuum that rug and sweep around it manually (I suppose I could just cut the fringe off). There really isn't a solution for the fireplace mantles and odd pieces of furniture unless I buy a few more exclusion boxes. We have a complicated layout on our main floor. Because it does not have mapping capability, it tends to do some areas more than others. It also gets lost trying to return to the base when the battery runs down. I end up just carrying it back more than half the time. The directions say to try moving the base to another location, but there are only a couple places that aren't in the way or visually incongruous. However, the semi-random pattern that the engineers designed it with seems to work pretty well. My advice isn't to watch it, or it will be frustrating. It might miss a piece of lint that it is very close to five times in a row. It will not vacuum an area the same way a human would, so you just need to get over that. The huge advantage of not having the mapping capability is that I can use it on all three levels of our house without confusing it. @@@@@@@@ Can other robots store separate maps for separate floors? I don't know. @@@@@@@ At least with this one, I don't have to buy three robot vacuums. Of course, when I use it on the upstairs bedroom level, for example, I have to carry it up the stairs to start it and down again when it goes to the recharge/find-the-base mode. This all having been said, the few times that I have to rescue it each vacuuming cycle and the places where I need to do touch-up manual cleaning still don't detract significantly from the enormous time-saving benefit that I get from using Bob.

I bought the Pethair vacuum and was sent the upgrade to the Pethair Plus. I thought this was a good deal and was pleasantly surprised at the marketing approach. It worked because we wanted to like this thing, and gave it several "benefit of the doubt" with its dysfunction. FIrst use, this thing is LOUD. I heard it outside cleaning the yard kind of loud. No chance to have it run while your relaxing at home. It can be programed, so good. Run it while at work. However, Bob is like an toddler and needs to be watched. It struggles to go from hardwood to a rug, maybe 1/4 inch thick, not to mention going to carpet. It gets stuck and rocks until it runs out of battery. Another attempt it jammed itself under the couch and shut down. It will not stop when there is resistance to anything but the bummper. So the couch clears the bumper, but not the whole unit. It scratched itself up completely doing the same under the cast iron coffee table. It does this when it does fit somewhere clearly. It gets stuck under chairs that it cannot figure out how to get out from and kills the battery. Bob has NEVER run a complete cycle while I wasn't home to constantly redirect it. Kinda defeats the purpose of a self cleaning robot vacuum. The sensors do not work either. Bob has gone down the stairs at least three times or gets a wheel stuck over the top stair and turns off. I reset it and it goes directly to the stair to do the same thing. I take it accross the room and it goes back to the stairs and goes down. So far I have been able to repair the damage, but it can't take that tumble anymore. I have to set a barrier to prevent it. I would gladly return it, but it is damaged and I believe is past the return date. For the price of $200 on sale and getting the upgrade, I cannot complain about the cleaning power when it is functioning. It does hold a lot of dog hair and cleans well on hardwood and (when I place it there) carpet. I would be appalled if I paid over $800 for this thing. I would suggest to keep looking for a different product.

I bought this vacuum for my wife as a mother's day gift. In a house with 4 indoor animals we used to vacuum using a Kirby everyother day. Bob has made it so we only vacuum everyother week. He ia programmed he run daily at 10am. And doesn't fail. We did have one problem with bob getting stuck and his wheels became slicks. I reached our to the customer support team. They responded quickly with clear directions to help troubleshoot the problem. There was many correspondence back and forth assumes bob is back to himself. Had not gotten stuck since. Great product and a company that stands by it.

I have a golden retriever which means I have a lot of fur to deal with. The Bobsweep PerHair Plus vacuum does a phenomenal job picking up dirt and pet fur and has drastically cut down the time I spend vacuuming. I continue to be impressed with the amount of fur it picks up that my other vacuum (Shark Navigator Deluxe) misses. The convenience of this vacuum is only topped by how good it is at vacuuming up pet furs. I schedule it to run twice a day while I am at work and love coming home to clean floors-all I need to do is empty a dustbin full of fur each night! The only, very minor, downsides are that it is a little noisy, and it gets stuck every once in a while. I think these issues come with any robotic vacuum though. Finally-shoutout to the Bobsweep customer service department. The first vacuum I purchased wouldn't charge on its charging station. I reached out to Bobsweep and got a very prompt response from Adam who sent out a replacement and stayed in touch throughout the process. Overall I couldn't be happier with my 'Bob' and wish I had bought him sooner!

The bObsweep price was exceptionally low on black friday. However, after using it I was disappointed in the random cleaning it did, the direction it vacuumed was never consistantly thourough. I also found it getting stuck under low chairs, and electrical wires. This meant I had to oversee it so that I could release it if it did get stuck. Empting it was just okay. It came with a small brush to clean out the dirt drawer, and some areas were difficult to get to in order to clean it out. The brush broke on the second time it was used. . Because it didn't exactly run on its own, it actually took more time to vacuum than if I used a regular vacuum. It takes a long time to charge once the battery dies. The charge lasts about an hour.

I finally decided to try this at the sale price of $249. I bought it to primarily clean my family room wood floor. It just doesn't do it for me. It seems to keep going over the same area and in no certain pattern. I tried all the options. I even spoke with tech support. It also seems to get stuck on too many things. I've had to remove most things from my floors (chairs, plants, cords, etc.) before I use this so it doesn't get stuck. There is no possible way I could have this start on its own and come home to a clean floor. It will end up stuck somewhere. It can't even find its way back to its base. And I placed it in an open area all by itself. I tried using it on my living room carpet and that was terrible. It just made tire tracks like crazy 8s and zig zags. Looked terrible. Had to go back and vacuum it to get the tire tracks out. I'm guessing that all of these Robot Vacuums work the same, not just the bob sweep. These things would probably work fine in a square room with nothing in it. It also works fine if I stand there and control it by the remote. I can keep it from banging into things or getting stuck. Maybe it will do better for you. Mine is now just sitting in the corner. Great investment. Lol.

Lots of trouble. Where to start. 1. Never found its charging base. Numerous attempts to trouble shoot. I had to manually pick it up and place it there. 2. Has lots of trouble with changing surfaces from hard wood to carpet. Gets stuck. Sorry me in a circle. 3. Very loud 4. Remote is super complex. Way more than it needs to be which just makes it confusing.
