As my title states, there are no perfect devices for all things. First and foremost, this is an e-ink color reading and note taking device with tablet application capabilities. Seriously, don't make it what it isn't. It is not an OLED screen, it is not made to watch consume vibrant colorful media. If that's what you are looking for, get a tablet preferably a Samsung tablet! But... if you are looking for a versatile, flexible, customizable e-ink device, this could very much be your holy grail. I have owned quite a few devices over time, from many manufacturers. This by far is the most versatile and essentially ecosystem liberated device I have ever owned. I am no longer trapped within Amazon leasing me content that I have purchase or subscribed to. Due to it being Android based, you have a wonderful selection of applications that you can install. Want to do your crossword like you would do on a page of newsprint? You can do it. Want to be able to discern graphs and charts with clarity and not switch to a different device? You can do it which I cannot say for Kindle devices because the Kindle OS is so siloed, it's just not possible. Would you like to have a high level of customization for the entire system or on a per app basis? You can do it. Would you like to have a functional internet browser? You can do it. Would you like to transfer content wirelessly? You can do it in so many possible ways. Want to incorporate cloud storage or expand the storage on your device? You can do it. Want to play audio books, record voice notes, handwrite your notes, convert your notes to text, export them? You can do it. It will take you some time to learn how to make the customizations necessary to make it exactly what you want but it can be done. The handwriting for me is excellent and has a very paperlike feel and while the Pro pen some people like much more, the standard pen is good for me although I may upgrade in the future. This is primarily an e-ink color reading and note taking device first and foremost so the complaints by some you may hear of this is not exactly the device I want. I say, what is? I can tell you this, if the iPad was perfect, you wouldn't be looking at another device let alone a color e-ink reading and writing device with a huge amount of functionality in addition to that. That's like saying, I have this radio but I can't watch you tube on it. Why? Because it is not the purpose of the device! I love this device and can't wait to get all things just like I want them to be... you can do that too!

Better than the Remarkable Paper Pro!

Better than the Remarkable Paper Pro. The plus side is you can access the Internet and it's less expensive than the paper pro. You can do so much with this device that I'm excited to start using when I start school in February. The notes application that comes with it is great already. Highly suggest you use the pen from BOOX as well!
