cartoonish (not in a terrible way). Repetitive. I gave it an hour or so and got bored.

I game to blow off steam. I am far from a hardcore gamer as I don't live to game, but I am obsessive when I game - one game at a time until it is finished. Work is stressful most days. I like being able to get home and lose myself in a game after the kids are asleep. Borderlands 2 is an easy game to lose yourself in. You can choose to work your way through the story line, advancing the story as quickly as possible, or you can follow optional side stories that give you more XP and gear. The humor is enjoyable, the storyline is fun, but the language is rough so this game is NOT for children or anyone with sensitive ears. That goes doubly so for the DLC. I recommend the game.

Very enjoyable first person shooter gameplay and replay value. There are so many items to "loot" in the game and part of the replay value is collecting the best weapons possible. Working as a 4 person team in co-op play is a lot of fun and the enemies level up to make gameplay more challenging. Single player is great and will most likely draw in players to play through the game multiple times. The game shines in multiplayer though, as teamwork is needed to make it through and the rewards are much better. The DLC adds to the replay value and there are more playable characters that are added.

I have played the story a few times on co-op and me and my friend are still entertained with it. Usually after a play through or two, we move on to something else. This game has managed to keep us interested for a few play through's and I see a 4th in the near future. You spend your time leveling up, gaining xp, going on missions. You get to upgrade your armor, weapons, etc.. as you go. The co-op is setup to allow you and your friend to always remain at the same point. Example: if you turn in a mission your friend also gets the turn in, same works for you when they turn it in. The best part is the different weapons and pick ups as the guns get pretty insane the higher level you get. I would suggest picking this up if you are looking for a good co-op with the a high replay value.

I can honestly say that this is the best shooter I've ever played. I love the last borderlands but this one improves on it in almost every way. Multiplayer is hell of fun and there's nothing like finding a really great weapon that you've been looking for for ever. New weapons always feel unique and leveling is a constant goal. The areas in the game are all so varied that it feels fresh and there are a ton of enemy types. Also each class plays very well but all different at the same time. It's hard to put your finger on exactly what it is that makes borderlands 2 such a great game it's just fun and with the coming dlc it'll just get better .

It goes beyond the first and adds significantly to the game. The humor is so wickedly sick and twisted. Jack is one of the most standout vilians ever with his memorable taunts. And you can always find some new gun or mod you've never seen before. Plenty of unique items to be found as a result of random rolls. Gold keys opening the chests at high levels really give out the goodies.

Guns, Guns and more Guns! In Borderlands 2 the variety and style of Guns is amazing. Love the gameplay and story mode. They have updated the character classes and the new Gunzerker class is cool, duel weapons deffinetly plays to an advantage when playing with friends online. Its fun to play online, using different classes to team up against the bad guys. One of the nice things about the game is it seems to neverend. The amount and variety of loot, guns and modes will make you want to play for hours. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes first person shooters/Role playing games. Only complaint I have (Best Buy) is like everyone else. Why does it take 24hours to get a redem code? Finally got my code but again 24-48hr wait, really?

I quite enjoyed my time with Borderlands 2, but I'll admit I was glad when it was over. Borderlands is an action-oriented FPS with tons of places to explore and tons of treasures to loot and baddies to kill. I really enjoy the Borderlands series, with its crazy stories and insane amount of weapons. My one critique of this game is that it felt too much like the original to me. While I loved the original, I would have liked to see a few more innovations in the gameplay for this sequel. There are a lot of people that can play Borderlands for 100's of hours, but I'm not one of them. After I finished my first playthrough of around 40 hours, I was done. It's a great game, but I felt myself getting burnt out by the end.
