Although we can't install this till we have counters, an undermount kitchen sink, and a drain; this is our third Bosch dishwasher, the first in Stainless Steel. The build quality is excellent for the price point.

I purchased this dishwasher because it was highly rated by Consumer Reports. The wheels fall off and I have actually lost two of them, the basket for holding dishes is extremely flimsy. Although, it is quiet as promised the inability to pull the racking out for loading is extremely inconvenient. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. It is defective and not worth the money!

The quietness with which it operates makes you wonder if it is even working. The machine cleaning is spotless but could do better with the drying process. It is not able to get rid of the moisture completely.

Install was straight forward. Quieter than our last dishwasher. Cleans well. Wife is happy

My old Kenmore lasted around 20 years and was basically trouble-free until the end - despite our very hard water. I was excited about getting a Bosch - Consumer's Reports gave it very good marks, especially in reliability. I registered to the fact that there were consistent complaints about the racks and ease of loading, but being good at puzzles, I felt I was probably up to the task. Wrong! The complaints about the racks are well-founded - whoever designed them does not load dishes in dishwashers very often. Skinny rows for the glasses and cups, tongs are too close together on both upper & lower racks, weird "sections" on both racks. Want to include the salad bowl? You'll lose a whole section for that because you won't be able to prop it over plates, etc. Just does not work spatially. On top of that, and worse, is that my plates are not rinsing well and come out with a chalky feel and residue. This from a brand new, good name dishwasher. I am troubleshooting the residue issue, but after all the complaints about their racks, you would think that Bosch would redesign them. If it wasn't such a pain to take out and install a new one, I would get rid of it.

We bought the Bosch because our daughter has one that is a year or two old and it cleans beautifully. We learned, however, that Bosch has made significant changes, apparently, since she bought hers. This is a great dishwasher when it comes to getting the dishes clean and it is very quiet, so why the one star rating? I gave it only one star for several reasons. 1. This dishwasher is narrower than our old one and most other dishwashers on the market. When it was installed, there was a noticeable and ugly gap between it and the cabinets. The main part of the dishwasher is narrower than the top panel with the controls and even it was narrower than other dishwashers which exaggerated the gap of the rest of the dishwasher with the cabinets and made it look even uglier. (I went to Best Buy and measured the different dishwasher brands after the install.) 2. The interior of the dishwasher is smaller than any standard dishwasher we've ever owned. 3. Perhaps the most annoying thing about the Bosch, is the tines are angled, not straight which is a huge challenge when loading dishes, bowls, the coffee pot or any even somewhat larger item. In addition, the tines are very close together making it impossible to load even a small lid for a very small Corning Ware bowl. We used to have stoneware dishes. I sincerely doubt they would fit inside the tines, the space is that narrow. As if that wasn't enough of a challenge, they have different sections where the tines run in opposite directions, i.e. at a right angle to the other section making loading plates and, especially, other items even more impossible than the narrow tines make it already. Conclusion. If you currently use most, or all of the space in your dishwasher to run a load, plan on having to do two loads, not one, to get your dishes done. It's a shame Bosch designed this machine so poorly and made it smaller on the interior and exterior than all other standard size dishwashers as it does a great job of cleaning. For these reasons, I cannot recommend the Bosch. We replaced the Bosch with a KitchenAid with the third rack on top. I am happy to report that the KitchenAid cleans just as well as the Bosch, is just as quiet as the Bosch, fits the space just like other dishwashers without an ugly, large gap and has a very, very large interior and is extremely easy to load and handles large objects and/or odd-shaped dishes very well.

dishwasher runs quietly...seems like it takes a long time to wash dishes...doesn't seem to clean as well as i'd hoped...leaves white residue on dishes, pans, silverware.

I would love to give this a full 5 but it does have a few short comings compared to our old Bosch that was 10 yrs old. It needs you to push the start button - v's just shut the door- The door is light and springs shut. On the positive side it does have a quick wash setting

This dishwasher works great. Plenty of options for running different sized loads.

This is a plain dishwasher. That serves a purpose, when your replacing one in a rental property or home your selling. IF you want a Real dishwasher with features like heat dry, steam, 3rd rack, and other upgrades. Spend the extra money and get a nice one. My Average rating is Nothing against the brand or quality. Just that my belief is basic dishwashers (in general) should be much less expensive. Recommending this to a friend would based on price & need. I would tell a "friend" to spend more and get a much better trim level regardless of brand.

Meeting our expectation in every way. This is a solidly design and built washing machine. Beat Buy’s on site installation team is also excellent. Strongly recommend order with installation service.

I am extremely satisfied with my Bosch dishwasher, it does a wonderful cleaning job and is so quiet you done even know it’s running.

Purchase based on Consumer Reports ratings for high quality and low price. Best Buy salesman Boumann (sp?) was exceptually knowledgeable and helpful. Delivery people fully explained operation.

I had brought dishwasher to replace my existing one and this one is really a good one, it is easy to install if you are planning to DIY

Great value, easy to install , easy to operate. This is our second one . First one lasted 14 years . Hopefully this one will too .

Cleans well; not noisy; easy to use, the door spring is strong so be careful

We just purchased this dishwasher a year ago after reviewing all the amazing reviews but unfortunately we were very disappointed. Exactly at the one year mark, it broke down for absolutely no reason. The technician came out and told us it was one of the cleanest dishwashers he’s ever seen, he said we did nothing wrong. It seems like all the bells and whistles are not worth it when it comes to unreliable brands like these. Thank God we bought a warranty, we are exchanging it for a Maytag dishwasher. We are really bummed out cause we have to pay a new warranty and for the dishwasher install kit even though it wasn’t any fault on our end.

After about 30 years with Whirlpool dishwashers, we have been amazed with the performance of our new Bosch. We use the exact same detergent pods, same rinse aid, and same city water, but somehow the Bosch gets stains (tea, salsa, and tomato sauce) out for the first time ever. Also, can't explain it, but when we unload the washer, dishes and glasses just look brighter, sparkling.
