The only real difference in design is that this unit doesn't have a heating element to dry the dishes. This saves on energy usage. We have had it for about 30 days and so far we are pleased with the decision. It cleans well and all the glass does come out dry. Plastics however don't dry well, which we knew going into this would be the case.

good wash quality, but ...

Funny insulation material smell, that I thought would go away soon after unpacking, is still very noticeable after each wash cycle after two months of use. Front panel plastic quality/color makes it look cheaper than it is.
