Very quiet and efficient, the trays inside are well designed. It does take some time to get used to using a dishwasher that does not dry the dishes with heat.

A good dishwasher...the only thing that I don't like is that there is no heat cycle on the dishwasher. .

MY purchase of this dishwasher was after reading several reviews, including Consumer Reports, but what I did not realize was there is no "heated drying cycle." Even after a couple of "work-arounds" that should have added adequate heat at the end of the dishwashing cycle, we found the silverware to be wet enough as to require hand-drying. Best Buy was very accommodating in trading this dishwasher for one with a defined "Heated Drying" feature.

We didn't realize how wet the dishes would be after a wash and decided this just wasn't the right unit for us. Water poured on the floor when we opened it after the wash. It is the absence of a heating element that matters. We returned it for a Kitchen Maid, spent a few hundred more, but well worth it.

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to use, so far look to wash dishes just fine, very quiet. Cons: no heated dry so the dishes need to sit a while, bottom rack comes off track constantly, typical washing cycle takes over 2 hours, awkward dish rack spacing. Overall, if you are looking for a cheap dishwasher without frills and can wait 3-4 hours this will be suitable. I would recommend a higher tier unit if you can afford it.

I am very happy with my new Bosch dishwasher! It cleans my dishes and glasses beautifully, and it operates so quietly! It also looks great with my other kitchen appliances. A couple of side notes are that it takes a long time to complete the normal cycle (2 hours! @@@@@@@ ...and since it doesn't have a heating element, it's necessary to leave the dishwasher open for a short while after washing in order to assure that no spots will be on the dishes & glasses, etc.

Four months and leaking water on floor

Four months and leaking water on floor and heat control element has gone out. When Bosch repair service was contacted, agent tried to tell me how to use the machine and would not answert my questions concerning leaking water on floor and error code. When I tried to question him further, he said I needed to let him talk. I said all right, go ahead and he hung up on me. Four months is certainly too soon to need repair.

We purchased this unit to replace a 12 year old Maytag unit. The only real difference in design is that this unit doesn't have a heating element to dry the dishes. This saves on energy usage. We have had it for about 30 days and so far we are pleased with the decision. It cleans well and all the glass does come out dry. Plastics however don't dry well, which we knew going into this would be the case.

Very disappointed, with this dishwasher. There is no heat element to dry the dishes. The spaces are horrible to fit bowls or platters and glasses don't fit well in the top rack. The racks are so cheaply made that the wheels fall off when you roll out the rack. Also, the measurement is all wrong the rack doesn't even roll out easily without falling off the rail. I can't believe Bosch would put their name on this cheap awful item!

Pro: Incredibly quiet and cleans dishes spotless. Con: Inside of dishwasher stinks a lot! And the heat doesn't dry dishes as good as I thought it would. Lots of water is left on them so I end up taking a dish towel and drying everything off afterwards. I would have thought a Bosch wouldn't have this issue but I guess not. I wondered if the drying/sink issue was impacting only mine, but I found out my ex-spouse has the same one and he has the same problem too.

This is our second Bosch and we are satisfied. We have an open kitchen and like that the machine is relatively quiet although we were not willing to pay premium prices for an ultra quiet machine. We use well water so prefer a stainless steel tub to prevent staining. We noticed that some buyers complain that the bottom rack "derails" easily but if you handle the rack with care we don't really have this problem (but perhaps we are used to this configuration after 10 years of Bosch). The only thing we noticed is that we were not satisfied with the drying results until we turned on the extra heat setting and put the rinse aid dispenser on "high". If installing yourself; wait to buy the installation kit until you read the installation manual to prevent paying extra for parts you don't need AND most likely you'll need some small parts which are not included in the standard installation kit.

We purchased this after having a very loud, poor quality GE for about 7 years. I read all the good reviews for this Bosch but had witnessed the poor drying power because my parents own an older model. I was skeptical but gave it a try. It is a very solid unit and cleans very well. Super quiet and has great features. Unfortunately, the drying capability is still a problem for Bosch. You have to use the high heat sanitize feature to get it as dry as possible and even then it is still pretty wet.

I've had my dishwasher about a month. It's really quiet and does a good job cleaning the dishes. The dishwasher doesn't have a heat dry but the dishes will dry, if you wait an hour or two after dishwasher completes cycle to unload. I run my dishwasher at night and the dishes are dry when I unload in the morning. The racks are positioned differently than my other dishwashers' racks. I'm learning the best ways to load the dishwasher. I'm happy I bought this product.

The normal wash on this machine is 2 hours and 15 minutes. It's ridiculous. And it doesn't seem to have a heat cycle. The dishes are cold and wet when it's finished. Bosch has some deal with Jet Dry I guess because there are samples and stickers all over it and it has an annoying red light that says "refill rinse aid" which I assume will be on all the time since I don't use rinse aid. The control panel is cheap and super plasticky looking. Top rack is very shallow, tall coffee mugs will not fit. Very disappointed as I've heard such great things about Bosch dishwashers.

This Bosch made in the USA dishwasher is a rather nice unit made to a price point, and it shows. The tub is not entirely stainless steel, the bottom of the tub is plastic, and there is no heating element or food particle disposer, but rather a double screen filter that requires periodic cleaning. The plastic part of the tub allows for some water thrashing sound to come thru, nothing loud like an all plastic tub, but not very quite. The bigger problem with this unit was the lack of the drying element. If you live in a hot and humid area of the US like I do (South Florida) the inside of your dishwasher will never dry and you will eventually get mildew and smells. You need to open your dishwasher as soon as it is done, and let the dishes air dry on the racks. Not a problem for some people, but not a long term solution either. I was sorry to see it go back to the store.

This is a good entry level dishwasher. It cleans dishes well, runs very quietly, and is a pretty good value for the price. My only complaint with this dishwasher is that it doesn't have a heated dry cycle. I'm sure this has to do with the efficiency of the dishwasher, but it's a pain having to hand dry items. We've taken to propping the door open with something once it's done to allow the dishes to air dry. Otherwise, it's always wet inside. An average cycle runs about 2 hours, which seems long. We run it at night, though, so it doesn't bother us.

It took a couple of washes to get the hang of not having a heating element, which the Best Buy store manager told us about. Had to call the company a couple of times for clarity on instructions and have to say, of all the companies I have ever called for info, their customer service is second to none. Rep stayed on line and walked me through every step and did not hang up until she knew that I fully understood product. Now that we are use to it, we would never buy another brand. Dishes, glasses, silverware and other items all come up spotless. For the money, it can't be beat. As for quietness, you hardly know it's running. Super product!

NO HEATING ELEMENT FOR DRYING. Wish I knew! Says open it when it's done to let out steam- I don't have time to babysit this thing! Did it & still wet. Never knew there were dishwashers without heat dry option. Get an American one if you want dry dishes. I hate this one & now i'm stuck with it. : @@@@@@@@

Nice change from my GE dishwasher

I have had dissatisfaction with GE appliances we have owned and as they expire we are replacing with other manufacturers. Unfortunately, due to the height of my counter tops, I was limited in my selection of built-in dishwashers. I either had to purchase another GE dishwasher or a Bosch. My only concern with getting the Bosch was I knew it did not have a heat dry cycle and wondered how much adjustment that would be. Otherwise, I had heard good things, especially about the noise level with Bosch dishwashers. I have been very pleased with our switch to Bosch. Running the sanitize cycle as recommended by the manual, I have found the level of dryness to be a non-issue. Things are just as dry as with our previous dishwasher's heat dry setting. The noise level is crazy quiet with this model and I believe the dishwasher will be very durable for our family.
