Best Buy failed time and time again with delivery and resolution of this dishwasher. Unbelievably terrible customer service and experience with bestbuy.com. Dishwasher is very quiet and cleans well, but is difficult to arrange the dishes with a full load.

The washer is very quiet, looks good and does a very good job washing. I am not totally happy with the ease of loading. Low profile plates are very easy to load, odd shaped storage dishes and deep bowls are difficult to load and take lots of space. I do not use rinse agent and some of the plastic does not dry well, dishes and glasses are pretty good though. I would suggest that you clean the drain filter frequently by spraying it in the sink.

Although this machine does a good job at washing dishes and operates very quietly, it is not easy to load if you are washing prep bowls, tools etc. If all you wash are plates cups and saucers, it is ok. My old GE met my loading needs in a far superior manner.

I selected this dishwasher due to high ratings in Consumer Reports and elsewhere. Very pleased with it's washing ability and clean styling. However, there are no visible indicators as to how much time is left in the cycle. Also, the rack tines are a bit close together which makes it difficult to load pots and other large items.

We bought this dishwasher after reading reviews and checking consumer reports and it's disappointing in 2 regards: - even with the Sanitize feature on to supposedly dry the dishes, the top of glasses and mugs are very wet and need to be wiped dry. - the dish loading layout is not practical. You can't fit more than 5 bowls on the top level and the bowl/small plate section is too narrow for 2 rows of glasses. So if you have glasses, bowls and mugs, you can only fit 5 or 6 of each at the most. On the bottom level, the spikes to hold plates are so tight together and inclined in such a way that you can't fit any bowls of any kind, small or large.

Great looking diswasher, reasonable price point

This is a great looking dishwasher that updates my kitchen well at a reasonable price point. It cleans well. I run it at night, and appreciate the minimal noise. My only complaint is that the dishes aren't dry when the load is finished. This requires hand drying for some items.

My husband and I were excited to be getting a Bosch dishwasher. However, it became apparent after the install that the racks are much smaller then our old whirlpool. The loading patterns they recommend might work if you only use dinner plates and a few glasses. Plus, the silverware basket is cumbersome to use and takes up valuable space on the bottom rack. We're returning this Bosch. We upgraded to the 500 Series.

    Received a “defective unit”

We thought it was the install was bad as after the installers left after they started a load, when it finished, the door "popped" and wouldn't close. Took a week for them to return and was told "it wasn't the install, it was a defective unit". So we've had it for 3 weeks and not been able to do a load of dishes in it. Still not sure it wasn't the install. Disappointed both in Best Buy, and the company that they contract with to install. Waiting this long is ridiculous.

I've only had my dishwasher about a month. I am loving how quiet it is. I didn't think it was working when I ran the first load because I couldn't hear it over my 3 year old giggling. I no longer have to scrub the dishes before loading. Just a quick rinse to get the big pieces off. I've only had 2 bowls have to be prewashed because they rested to close.

I don't even know that it's on. Yes, it's been a while since I had a new dishwasher but this one is really, really quite and cleans well. The only issue I've found is loading the dog food bowls. I now put them on top and that seems to work the best. All in all, I highly recommend the dishwasher and Best Buy installation was the best! The guys knew what they were doing and kept everything clean and tidy as they installed it.

We really needed a quiet dishwasher as our kitchen is open to the great room. This dishwasher really is quiet. It washes well, although it seems to take forever on all cycles. It doesn't seem to dry the dishes very well, even though we keep the Jet Dry full all the time. It's an inconvenience, but I wouldn't return it just because of that. The design of the racks is not what I would choose. Seems awkward to load and not very efficient.

Bought because of Consumer Reports high rating. Bottom rack falls off track. Best Buy tech said design flaw. Loading design isn't efficient. 1 1/2 yrs & now doesn't work. Warranty only 1 yr. 1st mistake picking this model & 2nd mistake not getting Geek protection. Never had a dishwasher that broke so didn't think we needed for top rated model Does clean well when it worked.

Insufficient for a family of 4

I bought this dishwasher based on its review from Consumer Reports. I can't believe they steered me so wrong. This dishwasher is tiny! We are a family of 4 and I'm having to run it at lease twice a day. I've had this dishwasher for a week and I'm returning it. It cannot hold all the dishes from cooking and eating a meal, meaning one meal for our family equates to two loads in this dishwasher. Other reviews have said this dishwasher gets the dishes really clean. One reason why is that the racks and tines are so weird that you can barley fit your dishes in it so the dishwasher it not full when you run a load. The entire machine is small and the tines are set so close that my plates don't fit and I definitely couldn't get a pot or large pan in it. If you are a couple this dishwasher may be good for your needs but it is insufficient for a family.

    Cleans well, but otherwise disappointing

Bought this based on Consumer Reports ratings. It cleans very well, and it's very quiet, but in most other respects it's disappointing. The racks are quite a bit smaller than the 12 year old Kitchen Aid it replaced. The silverware basket is MUCH smaller. That translates into fewer dishes that can be loaded, and the need to run it more frequently. To make matters worse, the arrangement of the angled (rather than straight up and down) tines makes loading large or odd shape items more difficult. In combination, the dishwasher holds considerably less than my old one. And the industrial designer who thought it would be cool to hide all the buttons and indicator lights should be sentenced to using this dishwasher daily for the rest of his life. There's no visible indication when the cycle is done, or where in the cycle it's. You can't stop a cycle without opening the door a bit, which increases the possibility of splashing water on the floor. The Kitchen Aid has a "clean" indicator light that stayed on until you reset it. The clean light on the Bosch goes out a few seconds after you open the door. Not a problem if you live alone, but if multiple people share the same dishes it's not always obvious whether the washer has been run or not. Just really poor design. If you want a Bosch, it's probably worth spending a little more to get one with an external display. Better yet, choose a brand that holds more dishes.

    Cleans dishes quietly and effectively

The general performance is all positive for us. We purchased this model because of its superior rating in Consumer Reports. It has not left a dish dirty. @@@@@@@@ But, we always pre-rinse because of owning older models until now. I wouldn't say we have tested it extensively with grimy dishes. @@@@@@@ It is very quiet as the specs describe and does not interfere with any other activities (games, discussion, TV) when it is running. Also, The look is beautiful. The hidden controls and simple stainless provide a very clean look. On the negative side, the rack layout is different than any I had used before and we are still adjusting. This isn't terrible, but my wife and I regard dishwasher loading as an art, so this feature is slightly insidious. Practicing loading with a few dishes at the store might be helpful. It packs dishes together very closely but we find ourselves running it about 2-3 times a week instead of 1-2 with our last dishwasher, so it seems to hold a little less. It will hold a boatload of plates, but cups and bowls seem more difficult to pack. Also, when it finishes, it beeps about once a minute until the door is opened.

First I have to mention that I absolutely HATE shopping for appliances, but Best Buy makes it a LOT easier with all of the information they have available online. I researched the heck out of the new dishwashers on this site, and knew I wanted one that had a reliable track record - I also did not want to spend more than $700. on a new one (crazy! @@@@@@@ . Other must-haves were delay-start, tall tub design, no "tower" in the center, adjustable upper rack, and a filter I could clean without having to disassemble the unit (like my old GE had). This dishwasher and my 2nd choice had them all, so I went to the store to see them in person to compare. Both were very similar, but after reading the reviews, and seeing the high number of negatives on the Samsung, I ordered the Bosch Ascenta instead. It arrived an hour earlier than my scheduled time, which was fantastic. My husband and I installed it ourselves, and instructions were fairly clear, but this wasn't our first rodeo. If you've never installed one before, pay close attention to the directions regarding wiring and hooking up the hoses, especially the water line. If you're not used to dealing with any of that, pay the extra $$ to have them install it & save yourself the time and aggravation. Once installed, we attempted to load it. This is where having a new dishwasher really sort of sucks. After loading my GE for 12 years & knowing where everything went, the Bosch is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I found myself referring to the owner's manual for loading instructions, which helped a lot. About the only thing I have an actual "complaint" about is the fact that there really isn't room allotted on the upper rack for large utensils (knives, slotted spoons, etc.) - the best spot is along the outside of the top rack, but be aware you're sacrificing room for glassware this way. The tines are too close together on a couple of rows also, so it makes loading deeper bowls a little difficult, but with a little practice it's getting easier. I will say that the interior of the Bosch isn'ticeably smaller than my GE was - I find I am unable to load as many dishes as I could with the GE, but now that our kids are grown & moved out, it'sn't as much of an issue for us. If you've a large family still at home, it may very well be an issue for you - if that is the case, then be sure you go and see the appliance in person before ordering it online. The difference appears to be in the depth of the racks. Once the dishes were loaded I ran the Normal cycle. It did seem to take a LONG TIME to complete, but you couldn't hear it running - not even the water running into the unit like our old one! We have an open concept kitchen/familyroom/diningroom, so the silence is much appreciated. I had some dishes that were pretty crusty and gross- I wanted to "test" the dishwasher, and it passed with flying colors. For the next load, I rinsed them really well (as always) and used the Express Wash cycle - it's done in about 45 minutes, which is great. Again - dishes were spotless. The only thing I really do NOT like about this dishwasher is the annoying end-of-cycle beeping. It beeps 3 or 4 times, then waits about 5-10 minutes and does it again...and again...it doesn't stop until you physically open and shut the door. It'sn't something that I would consider returning the unit over, but Bosch, if you're reading these...take the hint. Due to this being an Energy Star unit, the dishes are not dry when the cycle first completes. I usually run ours at night, open & close the door when it's done, then let them sit until morning - they're dry by then. Not having a slide-lock for the door might be problematic if you've small children in the house that don't listen to you, but the door doesn't open very easily either - you really have to give it a "tug". I guess this is where teaching your children not to play with appliances comes in. Bottomline: If you like sparkling clean dishes and want/need a super quiet dishwasher, then this is the model to get. Yes, I would purchase it again, and yes, I would recommend it to my friends.
