Horrible tar smell after completion of cycle

Had geek squad install after first run upon opening the smell brought tears to my eyes it smelled like I was behind a road tar truck. Ok I thought new machine. So I ran it 5 times after each time same horrible smell. Also all my plastic dishes were wet. So called repair man he said to exchange it . THIS call HAS TO BE DONE Within 14 DAYS or your stuck. Anyway got a new Bosch same problem I can’t believe there are not more reviews regarding this horrible smell. Even my dishes smelled bad. So after tons of research I found Bosch puts a coating on inside bitumen a tar derivative

Worse than you expect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw all of the reviews saying it didn’t dry well, but I thought it can’t be that bad. It’s actually worse. A machine only has 2 jobs: wash and dry the dishes. This one barely washes and doesn’t dry at all. All plastic and some metal containers finish like you’d just dipped them in water, even when using the Extra Dry cycle. Because the machine’s silverware rack is made of plastic, it wets the silverware as it’s pulled out. This is after I air it out for an hour. The tops of coffee cups are completely full of water, which wet the dry items in lower rack. My old machine blew most of that water away. Not this one. Best Buy has a no return policy on installed appliances. It’s either haul it to the dump and eat the cost or live with it. I am so disappointed.

Not an upgrade at all, as told by the sales person
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had an older Samsung dishwasher that cleaned ok, so we wanted to upgrade and the salesperson told us Bosch was very good. We bought this model and had horrible results, first load of dishes didn't clean well at all. Called Geek Squad, they came out and ran a load, left the dishes wet. Ran two more loads and dishes were not clean and wet. Looked at other reviews and found this doesn't' use a heating element, dishes are supped to 'air dry' for 2 to 3 hours according to Bosch themselves. Totally unacceptable went to store and bought a newer Samsung. Geek Squad just installed it, what a difference has a heating element to dry the dishes. Works great. Best buy was a class act and replaced the Bosch, no questions asked, always had good luck with Best Buy.

Quiet, but doesn't clean well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This unit is VERY quiet. I love that. BUT... it often leaves items unclean. Perhaps even more problematic is that the third rack robs space from the lower racks, so you cannot wash plates more than 10 inches in diameter!

Rack layout is horrible

The way the racks are laid out is horrible. I had to run 4 loads today just to get everything washed! I have had it 2 days and hoping to return it. Very disappointed and frustrating.

Liked it until it died at 2 years 1 month

Stop working after 3 weeks
