    Worse than you expect

I saw all of the reviews saying it didn’t dry well, but I thought it can’t be that bad. It’s actually worse. A machine only has 2 jobs: wash and dry the dishes. This one barely washes and doesn’t dry at all. All plastic and some metal containers finish like you’d just dipped them in water, even when using the Extra Dry cycle. Because the machine’s silverware rack is made of plastic, it wets the silverware as it’s pulled out. This is after I air it out for an hour. The tops of coffee cups are completely full of water, which wet the dry items in lower rack. My old machine blew most of that water away. Not this one. Best Buy has a no return policy on installed appliances. It’s either haul it to the dump and eat the cost or live with it. I am so disappointed.

Love love love this dishwasher. Super quiet. Only time you know its running is when the drain goes on. Upper hideaway rack is perfect for the spatula and flat items. Glasses fit well in the upper rack. I love that the upper rack can be adjusted up and down as needed to fit your glasses that are a little taller. Lower rack has prongs that you can put up and down, fitting all the big and bulky items in the lower rack. Dish tab area is straight forward. Still a little issue of the rinse aid and trying to get the liquid in to the small area can be a little bit of a challange. Outside button function is very simple and gives a count down timer on your washes. Gets all the dishes clean!! Can't say enough good things about this dishwasher. We had bought this when they also had free installation.

Pros: Adjustable middle rack, Stainless steel interior, 3rd rack for flatware, well spaced tines with foldable tines on bottom rack to add space, intuitive controls, does a fine job of washing dishes. Cons: No dishwasher without a heating unit will ever dry dishes thoroughly. Any lip on cups, plastic container rims, etc that can hold water will still have water at the end of the wash. This dishwasher was designed to be run regularly so if I don't run it after 2-3 days, there's a funky smell that emanates from it. The filter compartment gets filled with water that's not always clear so I'm leery of leaving my house for a few days for fear of what smells and bacteria will be waiting for me on my return. Given this, I'm on the fence about recommending this unit. If you plan to run it every day or every other day, then by all means go for it.

This dishwasher replaced my 15 year old KitchenAid and arrived only 2 weeks ago. Dishes, pots and utensils come out clean and dry. It is smaller inside than I'm used to, so it will take a while to learn to load it efficiently. I read of the smell problem with Bosch DWs; now I know what other reviewers mean. To me it's a mechanical smell rather than a rotten food smell, and still unpleasant. It was evident after my very first use - I remove all food scraps off and rinse before loading. I don't miss the food grinder as much as I anticipated. I'm glad the machine has a shorter 60-minutes cycle, which is all I need. I can't imagine anything I use needing to be washed for 2+ hours! My only real complaint is that the machine has to be turned off manually at the end of its cycle. I like to turn on the machine on my way to bed; so it seems like a waste of energy for it to stay on for 6-7 hours, until I manually turn it off.

This is my second Bosch and this is such a better design. There is a third shelf to hold large knives and plastic lids securely. It holds more dishes and drink ware (including large coffee cups). Gone is the repeated beeping when dishwasher is done, it is super quiet from start to finish. Everything comes out clean (honestly, that’s the most important thing). There was an initial new appliance smell when we first started using it but now it seems to be gone (it didn’t bother me but I had read others weren’t happy about the smell). We run the dishwasher at least once a day. Our last Bosch lasted about 6.5 years with one repair for a leaky part. When the pump stopped working I decided to replace the dishwasher. Replacement parts seem to be mail order only and take several days to be delivered and that is the only thing I really don’t like about Bosch.

My 25-year-old dishwasher was "good enough" and it "worked" ......no need to replace it, I said. Until, it started leaking water out of the front door. I bought this same Bosch dishwasher for my British Columbia cabin in 2014. I liked it well enough to buy the same model to replace my old Kenmore dishwasher and I ask my self, "why didn't I do this years ago?" The glasses are clean and without pools of water on top. The inside of the dishwasher is huge and it takes me (1 person) about a week to fill it up to run a full dishwasher. The organization of the silverware tray makes unloading even faster. The dishes are spotless. And yes, I have to put my ear to the door to make sure it is running.......it is exceptionally quiet. I love it!!! For people that think the 120-minute cycle takes too long, they can use the quick cycle. But in the end, who cares how long the cycle is? Especially when it does a fantastic job.

Its been a month or so since I purchased my Bosch dishwasher. I did a lot of research on dishwashers. European vs Domestic. Both are totally different in several aspects. Main one being the drying. Domestic washers use a heating element and European ones use condensation drying. Condensation drying works well but not perfect and neither dry plastic very well. If you must have perfectly dry dishes right now then the Bosch isn't for you. It cleans VERY well and you can't even hear it running. Typical cycles are 2.5 hrs but it has a quick 60 min cycle also. Middle rack is adjustable and I think removable. Very top rack works nice for extra silver, utensils, large knives. Not sure why I waited so long to make this purchase, I am very satisfied with my Bosch.

I have used it now three times after changing every possible setting to get my dishes dry. Using "extra dry" and "extend drying time" it is finally doing a decent job drying my dishes, but still with limitations. I can NOT confirm any kind of smell from the machine. It is very quiet, which is nice as I have an open floor plan from the kitchen to the living and dining room. I also had to change the setting for "auto off", otherwise the display will blink for 2 hours after the cycle is done. It now shuts off after 1 minute. The door concerns me, it latches too easy, leaving it slightly open hardly ever works, every little touch and it locks. But at least it cleans the dishes very well.

I replaced a 10 year old top of the line Kenmore Elite with this model. The sales rep and some reviews warned of issues with drying. I have experienced no drying issues. Dishes are cleaner than before. The dishwasher is remarkably quiet. By removing the lower basket, there is almost 1/3 more room for larger items. The top shelf holds plenty of dining and serving utensils. I'm pleased we're running the dishwasher less often. Watch the videos on how to properly load. It took me a few tries to optimally load. The fold down racks on second rack are ideal for small plastics. I almost went with the 500 series. The only material difference is the adjustable top shelf, which would be useful, and placement of controls. I chose to save $90 with the 300 series.

This is our 3rd Bosch brand dishwasher- love their no heating element technology- saves electricity and fragile dishes from cracking (it does, however, have extra dry button which I use every time, otherwise the dishes are not dry enough after the cycle. I also programmed and activated intensive drying option as well as turning off after a minute when the dishes are washed - the instructions clearly explain which buttons to push/hold/ release in order to enable personalized features. Love that it is so quiet and oh, the 3rd rack very handy for small kitchen utensils. So far so good - that factory stink (from the rubber I think) going away slowly but surely.

I love the 3rd shelf. I removed the silverware caddy from the bottom tray because the third tray fits all our forks, etc. normal load is 2.5 hours long. Digital buttons are easy and there is a countdown of time left of the wash. Very quiet you think it is not running if it wasn't for the countdown. Used it everyday for the last two weeks. Cons: You do need to dry the bowls, cups, anything with curves. I still can't seem to use it efficiently with load.....seems like it fits less than my previous dishwasher. When heavy, the bottom tray doesn't roll easily. Overall ok.... the only reason I bought this model is because the deal of free delivery and free installation added up to be less than the model below this one.

I bought this a month ago based on having a bosch previously that I loved. It lasted me 17 years and hardly a hiccup. This one is not worth the money even a little bit. It's always got condensation on the inside and none of the dishes are ever dry no matter what setting I use. The last one never did this! I am mad that I didn't keep the other one and just get it fixed. This was a waste of money! :( . I am extremely unhappy with all the new appliances (the others are LG)!! None of them work like the others. My older ones were made better, quieter, had more space. I'm really mad at myself over this!!!

I was in dire need for a good quality dishwasher. One of the requirements was that it had to be quiet. My previous dishwasher was extremely loud. When the installer installed this unit, he asked me to check it out to see how it was working. I didn't hear anything and told him that it was not on. He laughed and said it is and that is how quiet this unit is. I love the settings as you can customize the washing cycles. One thing to note as there isn't a heating drying element in the dishwasher. This helps to save on energy costs. I personally never used the heating option on the dishwashers as I didn't like melting (or burning) my plastics dishes. This dishwasher uses rising agents like JetDry to assist in drying so some of your dishes my still be went when the dishwasher finish washing. A friend of mine recommended a Bosch and this dishwasher did not disappoint.

We had this dishwasher installed a couple of weeks ago. So far, so good. So, the cleaning the food is somewhat of a pain, versus our 10+ year old dishwasher that had a soft food disposal. But, the dishes look great. However, we did have a problem that about 2 weeks in, our unit started consistently giving an E24 error code. This, I guess, is that the installation was done incorrectly. The good news is that we called Best Buy, and they had someone calling us back to schedule to come out to fix it in, i'm not kidding, less than 5 minutes. While we're not impressed with problems, we do like that Best Buy is standing behind their unit and installation. So, the jury is out if it's the unit or the installation.. but when it was working, it was a great unit.

I am thoroughly impressed. I was replacing an old dishwasher that I THOUGHT I didn't have any issues with. This new dishwasher is fantastic. There are a lot of reviews complaining about the ability to dry dishes. No dishwasher in the world will completely dry dishes the way some people expect. I run the dishwasher after dinner, crack it open when the cycle completes, and dishes are dry by morning. The Rinse Aid also helps dry the dishes with no water spots...this is what I am most impressed with. The top shelf (which I've never had before) is also amazing...I didn't know what I was missing. Finally, I like the fact that there is a sanitize option. I use this when I wash baby bottles. However, I would suggest still hand washing the nipples. I am very happy with purchase and would highly recommend to others.

When our 14-year-old dishwasher died, we chose Bosch based on its good reputation. Overall it’s quiet, looks great, has nice features like an extra utensil shelf. Most importantly, it cleans the dishes! My only complaint is that it’s not as user-friendly as my old Kenmore: if you open the door to add a dish during the cycle, you need to remember to press the “Start” button again for the wash to continue. (My old machine resumed washing automatically.) And when the wash is finished and you have time to take out just a few dishes, the screen flashes annoyingly until you empty the whole dishwasher or turn it off altogether. (My old model had a more subtle indicator light that told me I had clean dishes.) Regardless, overall I’m happy with the purchase and am glad to have a modern, quiet dishwasher.

Only thing that gets properly soaked is your CC

Bought this four months ago. Despite using a combination of soaps and rinse aids, this machine is incapable of washing dishes. It leaves crud on everything. Have had a technician come out, he didn't find anything wrong but suggested another type of soap and rinse. Several weeks later, as bad or worse performance. Going through next round of having technician come out, but Bosch may or may not honor their obligation to replace. Would prefer refund over having a machine that is so touchy that it can't deliver a clean wash. And did I tell you it ain't cheap? $700 ought to buy better technology than what we got saddled with.

I've only used the dishwasher a couple of times so far but I like it! It's incredibly quiet, and my dishes come out nice and clean. It doesn't fully dry, but I've heard that this is the way Bosch's work. I have not tried the extra dry setting yet. I like that the third rack can be removed and the second rack height can be adjusted. I also like that there are multiple options, including delayed start. My only complaint is that the racks are set up in a very particular way and even the loading examples in the manual show only plates, bowls, and cups. We often have things that are not plates, bowls, or cups, and I feel like I can fit very few of those odd types of items in the dishwasher because of the angle of the prongs on the racks. Because of this, my previous 9-year-old dishwasher seemed bigger, but I'm still very satisfied with my purchase.

Bought this dishwasher as we replaced everything in our kitchen. Read that this is condensation drying and figured the dishes would come out dry, just like our old 15 year old dishwasher. Wrong. Dishes come out soaking wet even with rinse aid and the sanitized drying cycle. There is an awful trash smell even when the dishwasher is empty. Bosch customer service is horrible and no help. Picture is 2 days after unloading the dishwasher.

Our old Bosch died after 14 years of service. I researched all the models/makes and this model stuck out as a consistent favorable choice. It is much quieter than my older dishwasher that wasn’t that loud. We have an open kitchen/living room and it can’t be heard other than the quick cycle when the water is draining. The third rack for knives and large flat utensils is helpful. It holds a lot and is flexible too. If you you haven’t had a Bosch, recognize that the washing cycles are long and items will not be always be completely dry ( no heating coil - more energy efficient and plastics are less likely to get warped).
