when delivered not working. open box item. they should check before shipping

The unit was defective because for no reason the temperature in the fridge section could go as high as 57F. We ended up exchanging it for another brand within two weeks after it was delivered.

I wanted to wait until I'd had this refrigerator for at least a month before writing a review. I can now say beyond a shadow of a doubt, I am thrilled with it!! I will spare you my nightmare saga with refrigerators. But I will say, in the last 10 years, I have had 3 french door fridges, none of which kept a safe temperature. I have an elderly mother in law that lives with me so food safety is a priority. I strongly urge you to place a temp gauge in your french door fridge and see what kind of temps you are getting. The last fridge that I just returned was 50 degrees farenheiht in the top right corner and only 45 to 47 in the bottom back. Can anyone say "food poisoning"?? But my new Bosch 500 is keeping a berfect 37 degrees in all areas If the refrigerator compartment! It obviously flutuates when you open the door but it quickly returns to temp. As an added plus, the ice maker which is small, makes ice crazy fast. We go through a ton of ice inthe summer so we still have to have a bin we transfer it to in the freezer. But, for normal people, the ice maker would probably be plenty. The only cons I have are that I had to buy an extra door shelf in order to hold all my condiments and the shelves on the dispenser side door are only half height. This means only the shortest of bottles will fit on that side without falling out (think Grey Poupon). Obviously this is a minor inconvenience to prevent poisoning my whold family!

Great fridge and freezer with lots of space. Freezer sections allow for easy organization. Only reason for 4/5 stars is have to warranty ice maker due to a drip after just 2 years

Best looking, and great iterior space, a lot energy saving

We're very pleased with our Bosch 500 series french door refrigerator which we purchased open box. It has plenty of room for our essentials, as well as storing leftovers. I really like the extra large deli drawer to store our lunch meat and cheeses. The separate fruit and vegetable bins allow you to control humidity to keep them fresh longer. We bought this model at quite a nice discount, being open box, and still have the same warranty as a new in box model.

This has to be the worst designed ice dispenser on the planet! If you like Crushed Ice, like I do, then DON'T purchase this machine. Thus far in 75 days, I have had Best Buy out once (the tech even brought the part with them w/o seeing the machine) and I have had an independent high end appliance repair company here as well. I have corrected the problem twice myself after being shown the issue. The water freezes on the crushing blades and won't allow them to properly operate, all you will get is whole ice. Since I have Total Tech I will just start calling Best Buy every time it malfunctions so maybe them will offer me a replacement or have someone stop by the house daily to repair the machine.

This fridge is massive and with a big family it is perfect. The ice maker is very fast and the added storage in the freezer to dump ice in will come in hand for the holiday parties we throw.

Do not buy. After nothing but problems with Bosch and lack of service, my $3100.00 series 500 refrigerator is going to landfill. Ice maker stopped working in 3 months and now 8 months latter it will not defrost a frost free refrigerator. Do not buy this piece of junk. Bosch will not make good on warranty

The only issue is that the storage space inside is a little smaller than our previous refrigerator of similar size. We are very happy otherwise.
