Customers are saying

Customers love the 800 Series dishwasher for its quiet operation and excellent cleaning performance, frequently praising its ability to thoroughly clean dishes. Many appreciate the added convenience of the third rack and the dishwasher's spacious interior. However, some customers note that the unit is shorter than standard dishwashers and that cycles may be longer than expected. A few also mentioned an unpleasant odor.

    Best Dishwasher We've Ever Had

Due to an older remodel with granite counter-top, the standard 34" H units do not fit (had originally purchased a 300), so had to go up to the 800 ADA model to fit into 33 1/2" H. It is so quiet, it's hard to believe that it is actually doing anything. Dishes come out drier than with our previous 8 YO Maytag - it also fits better than the Maytag did. Also, this model has the Bosch 3-rack design, unlike the 300 ADA (which BestBuy no longer carries), so not giving up anything vs. a standard 800, other than it only being available in SS.

Installation of Bosch Dishwasher by Best Buy

The installation is Poor. There is a large 2 inch gap between the top of the Dishwasher and the bottom of the Counter Top. In addition to looking bad, it allows Noise from the operation of the Dishwasher to exceed the advertised 44 dBA. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

    I love Bosch dw

This is my second Bosch (bc I moved; not bc last one died). Actually cleans dishes. I’m a total Bosch fan-boy now. They have a totally different (and more energy-efficient) drying mechanism, so as many say, it doesn’t dry plastic well. But a) I don’t put plastic in the dw anyway, and b) I’d think that also means it doesn’t overheat plastic and cause it to crack/fail as quickly. Anyway, I usually run it before going to bed, everything is mostly dry when I wake up (I believe it uses the heat from the hot water that made the stainless interior super hot to dry everything), then I just leave it open to air dry the rest of the way before putting everything away. The bottom rack stuff is always dry; it’s just top rack stuff that collects water (like bottoms of mugs) that aren’t dry yet. But oh yeah, it TOTALLY CLEANS DISHES without you having to soak and “wash” the dishes before you wash the dishes. I also adore the third rack for silverware. If you’re coming from a typical dw, this fits a LOT more.

I was limited in choices for a new dishwasher due to my counters being less than 34 inches high. My old dishwasher was a bare bones model from Sears that I had installed 11 years ago. At that time, there was no issue with the height of my countertops - apparently, somewhere in the last 11 years, dishwasher makers started turning out units that are 34 inches high. My original choice was a GE, but when that dishwasher would not fit in my kitchen, I started looking for "ADA" compliant dishwashers. I found this unit and another unit by Bosch, and opted for the push button, even though it was more money. Well, color me surprised!!! This unit is fantastic!!!! It is so quiet I never hear it running and the dishes come out sparkling -- I no longer have wet mugs in the upper rack (old unit always left a "puddle" on top of the mugs) and the third rack is absolutely fantastic for odd shaped utensils and my grandson's binky and bottle rings and nipples. If you need a new dishwasher and can afford the higher end product - you can't go wrong with this unit.

Our kitchen counter is low, so we needed a washer that would fit. This one not only fits, but does a great job cleaning the dishes. It is very quiet.

Beautiful and works perfectly. super quiet and getting the dishes super clean. The water softener seems to help a lot since the water here is pretty hard. Only thing is that it is a few inches shorter than the normal dishwashers. Not sure if that was a requirement to make it ADA compliant. Would buy again.

I'm very pleased so far with this new Bosch 800 Series ADA Dishwasher. It does an excellent job washing and drying dishes, etc. when I use Auto Cycle with Sanitize & Extra Shine Options. I haven't had the dishwasher long enough to try out all the cycles and options. So far, I have only used the Bosch recommended Finish Powerball Super Charged Quantum Max Ultimate Clean & Shine Capsules Detergent and Finish Jet-Dry Rinse Aid. The Bosch Dishwasher as I mentioned before does an excellent job cleaning and drying my dishes, etc. leaving no spots. The dishwasher is so very quiet that I'm happy that there is a Red LED Light that shines on the floor to let me know that it is still running the wash/rinse cycle. It is the best dishwasher that also has an internal water softening system container. Most other brands of dishwashers don't have water softeners built-in them. Although, my tap water was mild-moderate hard, it did require some Finish Water Softener Salt which I purchased from Amazon. So therefore, I am happy that I chose this Bosch ADA Dishwasher for that integrated water softening system. I'm so relieved that Bosch also had this ADA Model Dishwasher since my counter space was lower to fit most other Bosch Tall Tub Dishwashers and other brands of Tall Tub Dishwashers. Since, I haven't had this dishwasher that long, I will do an update at a later date.

the Bosch dishwasher is expensive but based upon it's performance it seems over priced. Reasonable expectations - just get the dishes clean and dry. Depends on what you put in and how it is positioned whether you get the dishes really clean. There is a learning curve for sure. The bottom rack is an odd configuration - the middle rack is to shallow and if you have standard sized glasses and mugs they don't clear the upper rack - which is for silverware etc. We have made the decision to take the upper rack out and that will reduce the loading time. Seems that there wasn't any end-user feedback on the design and placement of the racks as the design flaws are painfully obvious when loading the dishes. Like trying to solve a puzzle where the pieces don't seem to fit together. A lot of wasted time right now if you want to maximize the load. We do a lot of entertaining and use over sized plates - the lower rack will only hold two for every load. Had we known that we would not have purchased this model. Some sections of the instruction manual appear to be have written by an engineer for an engineer. Fortunately the Bosch customer service team is exceptional and has been able to answer all our questions. The dishes are not 100% dry at the end of the washing cycle. Need to leave the door open for them to air dry - not a good idea. The Bosch product line was personally and highly recommended by a highly respected interior designer who does kitchens for multi-million homes. Could be a case of user error - OK - will go with that for now. So we are going to continue flattening the learning curve - man versus machine if you will.

Dishwasher cleans great, and is super quiet. I love the top silverware rack much better than the basket. I do wish the product came with the option to buy the Bosch power plug. I ended up ordering this part separately based on other reviews. I am not crazy about the slanted plate racks. But overall I am happy.

We unfortunately spent quite a bit of money fixing an old dishwasher before replacing it with this fantastic cleaning machine. While having the previous dishwasher repaired, I asked the repairman what is the best brand of dishwasher to buy. Without hesitation he said “Bosch!” Since this service person was from a group that only only repaired machines and was not affiliated with any specific brand, I took his recommendation seriously. My husband and I are very glad we did! This has been the best dishwasher we have ever owned or used. Nothing has to be rinsed clean before loading, plastic can be placed on any of the 3 racks, and 2 years later it cleans just as thoroughly as the day it was installed. Plus, it is so quiet that without the indicator light it is difficult to tell if it is being used. This machine is definitely worth the extra expense. I highly recommend!

I went from a double drawer dishwasher and was reluctant to get a single traditional dishwasher , but my husband and I were sold the minute we started it and it is so quiet . It is so roomy , lots of drawer space and quality of wash almost spotless . It’s a little pricey , but quality of product , is what we were sold on .

Quiet unit that gets dishes really clean. I particularly like the extra tray in the top end for utensils. The unit is slightly smaller than the inlet we had originally, but has adequate raisers to fit almost any space.

This dishwasher is so quiet that I really appreciate the small red LED light that shines on the floor while the washer is running. The 3rd top rack is new to me, and I like that you have that extra room for some silverware, utensils, spatulas, small flat bowls etc. Half loads use less soap so I purchased liquid soap for that purpose...I use about a teaspoon for small loads..verses the one 'Finish' brand pod I use for normal loads, Bosch requires the use of a rinse aid next to the soap dispenser. I filled the location and this will last for 23 loads. Not bad. I'm really liking this dishwasher. Note: mom purchased a 500 series at the same time which I have used at her home. That dishwasher is excellent too. Fyi Beware that local ordinances will probably require plumbing and electrical permits & upgrades before/or at the time of installation. These fees can be pricey. ( $140 to upwards $700 ). Best Buy will help you with setting up with the electrical/plumbing people. That was a big help. I do recommend Bosch.

This is my second Bosch dishwasher. The first one was the 100 series which is smaller but I still loved it. This time I got the 800 tall tub and it holds a lot more dishes. I love everything about this dishwasher. It saves water, cleaners, electricity, while cleaning my dishes beautifully. Bosch is the only dishwasher I even considered buying because of the reliability and fabulous results to clean my dishes. And it looks beautiful in my small modest kitchen. Our Best Buy installer was superb. He gave us all kinds of instruction on how to best use the dishwasher and on how to properly clean the stainless steel, since it is our first stainless steel appliance.

    Best Choice for tight space

Let me start off by saying this Bosch Dishwasher was not my first choice. It wasn't my second choice either. But of the units that would fit in my 33.5" high space, this was the best of the lot. Let me also state that I was replacing a 12 year old Bosch unit. That dishwasher was good but the three things I never liked about it was that the layout of the racks, the lack of any indication when the unit was running, and the worst, the beeping signal when the drying cycle was done, which was excessively loud and unrelenting. This meant, no running the dishwasher after 8:00PM for feat it would wake members of the family. It also made me think no Bosch employee used a Bosch dishwasher because if they had, this feature would have never been incorporated. I've now had the new Bosch unit installed for two weeks and here are my observations: 1. INDICATOR LIGHT - Bosch added an indicator to let you know it's running. I think it's odd that it shines a red light on your floor. I'd prefer an indicator that I could see without having to walk within a few feet but it's huge improvement over no indicator at all. 2. QUIETNESS - Our last Bosch was very quiet and I expected this one to be quieter. Ironically, it's significantly louder. It makes a lot of grinding and whirring noises. I'm not sure if this is normal. While it's not annoying, it's definitely not quiet. I have a db meter app and it recorded 50.6db. Again, not horrible but very noticeable however, with this much noise, I no longer need an indicator light. 3. RACK ARRANGEMENT/STORAGE - Huge improvement. Still don't like it as much as the Kitchen Aid but the cutlery tray is great and I can adjust the height of the middle rack. Definitely more versatile. 4. COMPLETION SIGNAL - Huge improvement. It now is a subtle beep and I think it only beeps a couple of times, unlike my last unit which would beep indefinitely until you acknowledged it. 4. BEST BUY SALES EXPERIENCE - Excellent. Sales person was very helpful and took the time to answer all our questions. The manager also called our house prior to installation because of concern the unit we originally picked would not fit. In-fact, he was right and was able to switch our order to this unit. I was very pleased with this Best Buy Store. 5. BEST BUY INSTALLTION - Excellent job. They sub this out so your installation may not be the same but I was very happy with the installation. The installer was professional and polite. He arrived on time and did not make a mess. OVERALL - I would recommend this unit if you have a 33.5" height restriction. They call these ADA Compliant units.

I’m so pleased with this dishwasher it cleans dishes spotless and you don’t even know it’s running ..I’ve had expensive dish washers before and still had dishes coming out with film on them and looking dirty ..so this time I didn’t rush into purchase .i needed one with a salt dispenser.now this isn’t important if you have soft water I’m rural and don’t ..unless I get rid of husband that hates soft water but he’s been around for 45 years ..so yes purchase this it’s worth every penny spent .installation by Best Buy was also perfect

The dishwasher is so quiet I had to ask the fam-bam to lower voices to hear it from 12 inches away. There is also a red light that shines down on floor to indicate the unit is running. Dishes came out shinier and cleaner than we've ever seen. We use the cascade platinum pods, without any residual left over in pocket of door. CR rates Bosch very high on their ratings and for once, the reviews are right. Due to ADA height, no issues on fit.

This is the absolutely finest dishwasher I've ever, ever had! It is easy to use, takes a much bigger load than the last one with much better cleaning. (I think I am in love with a dishwasher)! And, as if that is not enough to recommend it - it is much quieter than the old one too! (It does take twice as long to do a cycle, but - hey - who cares if it is quiet and does a great job - NOT ME)!! It is a little pricey by my standards, but as an old woman I expect it to outlive me! If you can afford it - don't miss it! It makes everyday life better!
