I already own Bose products and these two speakers have enhanced my entertainment experience when watching movies or listening to music in the comfort of my home. I would buy another pair to complete my 7.2 surroundsound system.

These speakers are connected to my Yamaha Receiver and makes a world of difference in watching TV programs especially sports. I mounted these speakers in a stand adjacent to the TV and they blend perfectly in the room.

You can't miss with these if you need front or rear speakers for a surround sound system. My only complaint is that they could have a better design. You need to attach the provided plastic/rubber feet to have them stable on a flat surface. That is why I gave it only 4 stars. Otherwise, it would rate 5 stars for a quality Bose product.

I was looking for a nice set of surround sound speakers that I could have mounted in the rear position up on the wall. These sound really good and for the money are a nice addition to my home audio system.

I bought one pair of these Bose speakers to replace one of mine that was blown. I liked the crisp, clear sound so much I replaced my others with another set. Fantastic sound out of small speakers!

Good speakers but sound quality correlates with their size and price

Using these as the rear speakers. I love the fullness of sound they create. Setup was a piece of cake, unhook the old pair and clip in the new ones. Actually lowered the sound level while tuning. The shape is a little unusual at first but you quickly get used to it. I really believe the shape adds to the fullness of the recreated sound. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

The Bose 161 speakers are a set of two high quality book shelf speakers . I installed two sets on my stereo receiver , and the sound is amazing . You can't find better sound reproduction . Bose is the best .

As stated above, these speakers are designed to work with 301's as front and the VCS10 as center channel (all Bose speakers in case you don't know the numbers.) They work perfectly! Highly recommend!

Compact speakers with a big sound - good fit in the small room I placed them in - reasonable price for the sound quality!

These Speakers have a nice compact design for a small surround sound system. The sound is lacking bass but overall quality is good. Would recommend them as surround speakers not front speakers.

these speakers rock. best for the price. they don't put out much sound, but the sound they do put out is awesome/amazing. the base is good, not too boomy or distorted but it doesn't really quite 'punch' at all. Of course this is a non-factor because you are supposed to have a subwoofer, but this review is letting you know to buy a subwoofer to go w/ these speakers b/c they do not stand alone.

Using as rear surround. Easy to install and mount to wall. Bose will always cost more but can say lasts forever. I have 20 year old cube speakers that still sound great.

Put these in a small business showroom that previously had 4 speakers. These easily give ample sound and great clarity for the value, and easy to hook up to most existing receivers.

We were surprised by the clarity and fullness of sound coming from these bookshelf speakers. We're using them in a smaller room.

I wanted to complete my speaker system. I have a set of Bose 301 speakers and I purchased these to complete my sound experience.

The speakers were great, and the sale price presented an excellent value. The only problem is there were no screws included to attach the brackets to the speakers or secure the speaker pivot. One is metric, and the other standard. Bose sent the screw package after some hassle.

I like the size and especially the sound that comes out of these speakers. Very clear with no distortion, although, this is what is expected from a Bose speaker.

Love the speakers, easy installation, small and mobile but still have that graet Bose sound.

we have only purchased 4 of these to use for our surround sound system, and the system can handle up to seven speakers, but so far 4 are working great. I have not played a lot of music on them, but they are working great for the TV, gaming and videos.
