These were originally installed a few years ago, excellent speakers. We had to replace because a Kidde fire extinguisher was on the floor, below the speaker, and the valve blew off and shot the speaker. Ripped out wires and terminals, whole house was covered in fire extinguisher chalk. Beware of fire extinguisher with plastic valves. Otherwise no issues with speakers, just understand they are sold in pairs, and they are directional.(right and left).

I like the speakers for the good quality sound that it produces. Perhaps a bit over priced - however its a Bose speaker!

I am very satisfied with my purchase. I have been looking for these speaker and reading about them for a bit. The quality and price was great. They were also easy to mount on my wall.

Used these to replace old 141's as my surround sound speakers. Great sound and can take more watts. Was able to use with universal mounts that had more flexibility of positioning.

I use these speakers as rear surrounds in a 5.1 setup, and they work perfect. They are easy to mount and look great on the wall, and of course like all Bose they sound amazing!

The sound coming out of the speakers is great for the room. You do not need to turn up the volume to hear them.

These are affordable rear speakers, easy to mount, with great Bose sound at a surprisingly affordable price. No complaints, sound like much more expensive speakers.

I have always loved the sound quality of Bose. I use these for front surround speakers and they sound great. The curved design reflects the sound off the walls.

I replaced my KHL surround speakers with these and the sound is much clearer and has more depth. Small enough to not leave much of a footprint, but the sound is big and I have no complaints Probably deserves a 5 considering the price and sound.

They may be 'entry level' for BOSE, but WOW! I'm impressed that those small of speakers can put out as much powerful sound as they do. 5-5... Price is spot on.

Awesome speakers. Quite affordable considering its a bose product. Easy to set up and great bose sound for a fraction of the cost.

We tried the bose cinemate II and other sound bars but these Bose 161 speakers sound the best with a a/v receiver and sub.These are not Bose best speakers but the sound and size worked for us.
