Bought these as a gift, the reciever of these speakers is most pleased with them.

I had a pair of Bose 101 speakers outside for almost 10 years mounted on the deck, they performed perfectly, unfortunately being outside through Rain, Snow and summer heat took its toll and they were DOA in the spring. I wanted another pair of equally good sounding speakers to replace them and have been a Bose fan for a number of years. My expectations were set by the previous pair, and knowing the the open landcape of a deck is an acoustic challenge for any speaker. I ordered the Bose 251 speakers expecting the same or better sound quality and an easier mount/removal, as I will probably pull these in for the winter months. The 251's are perfect. The sound is crisp and even in an open landscape there is sufficient bass to my ears. I like the hand tightened method for securing the speakers to the deck mounted brackets, which will make removal and remounting a snap. All in all I'n very satisfied with this product, its a winner.

I have had Bose speakers throughout my house for years and these were originally on my old house. When I built a new house I moved these over making sure I ran all the wires for them during construction, that was over five years ago. These speakers are over ten years old, that's 10!!! They still sound awesome and just a few weeks ago a neighbor was over and he commented on how " great " they sounded. Over the years I've had many people ask and comment on how great they sound. I have not played these lightly either, they have been played quite loud just about every time they have been used and they really sound great. I have noticed that they sound really good at a distance under a patio or awning. I thought about looking into newer speakers when I moved these thinking newer technology might have introduced better sounding speakers but why try to fix what isn't broken? These aren't the cheapest but I doubt cheaper in price, value and construction would sound as good as these this far down the road.

These speakers are worth every penny. They make all music sound great. I have had them for 3 months and I love them.

I need some out door speakers that would have good sound, and so I found these. I got to say there is a sence of presences with these speakers out doors. I love holding backyard party's and my guest just love them. I have the speakers hidden behind some large bushes that are in my backyard so it would not take away from the sence of presences. So my guest allways ask me where that wonderful sound is coming from so then I show them and they can't believe there eyes. I recomend these to any one.

These are some very nice speakers. The look and sound good. Only reason for the 3 stars is that he bass is not very good on these. I will need to adda subwoofer for the deep base.

Over the weekend I spent some time in BB testing outdoor speakers ( each brand set up on the wall next to each other and hooked to the same Yamaha amplifier/CD). Being a former musician, my ear is very sensitive to the sound quality and I was really astonished to hear Insignia speakers for $78 blowing away Bose and Klipsh for $300 range. Don't get fooled with marketing hype, they sounded way worse. Juts hear it for yourself at any BB store.
