This bass module couples with the Soundtouch 300 to give an almost complete theater experience. The bass it provides is analogous to other high end, wired subs but this one has the benefit of being wireless and super easy to pair and connect to your existing Soundtouch 300 system. It is easy to adjust but, at the same time, doesn't need much adjustment. If you've bought the Soundtouch 300 and are in the market for completing your theater, buying this is a no brainer. I highly recommend it.

Worked great for about 2 years. Stopped working and contacted Bose about the issue. They were responsive and let me send it in for repair. Just recieved it back with a receipt stated it was fully repaired and it still does not work. I know they have pulled the model from retail, but I am extremely disappointed in the purchase.

    Bose soundbar 300 review

This Bose system is a beast. It sounds so clean and holds up on the low end real good. I recommend it anytime. One thing I think Bose can improve upon would be to have a small screen on their sound bar for communication between the user and system. Most times, the user cannot know if the system is responding to the commands passed on from the remote control like some other sound bars.

Pretty ingenious packaging by BOSE to protect the contents and you won't spend much time getting it ready to set up. Once out of the box and a brief review of the startup guide it was connected the SoundTouch 300 sound bar. Setting up the ADAPTiQ in my room was easy, I did it twice just to see if there was a noticeable difference. All in all set up took about 30 minutes. The distortion free sound from the 10" subwoofer is amazing. It is a pricey add on to the SoundTouch 300 sound bar but if you are looking for simplicity wireless turn key operation this system is it. I have played with the various sound modes and find all of them to have their place depending on the movie and time of day. I have placed the sub woofer in various places in my room to find the best acoustic sound and have noticed very little "improvement" based on placement. No matter where I put it, the bass fills the room and it is difficult to pinpoint where it is coming from. I even put it in a small cubby and put a chair in front of it and after I ran the set up again it still sounded amazing. I also appreciate the universal remote. For the price this easily is a match for a much more expensive component system and is much more compact. I would highly recommend the Bose® - Acoustimass® 300 Wireless Bass Module.

The Acoustimass 300 Wireless Bass module is a great partner with the Bose Soundtouch 300 Soundbar. The work together very nicely. The dimensions of my sub are 12 3/4" tall, 4" deep, and 11 1/2" wide. It's black and shiny, with a glass top. It's rather large and I didn't want it sticking out. I have built-ins for my TV and electronics and the sub would have to sit on the floor in front of it, but in danger of being banged up, climbed in, or knocked over with my kids if it was out. So we have it sitting on the floor nearby, behind an accent chair. I love the wireless feature of the sub. It's such a huge selling point. Set up took quite a while. It's a bit extensive. I don't understand it all, so I had my husband do it. To set up the soundbar and Bose Acoustimass 300 Wireless Bass module, Bose SoundTouch app, and universal remote, it was almost 2 hours to do everything but he said it wasn't too bad and pretty easy for him. Once the soundbar was connected and calibrated, the next step is to connect the sub and put on a wired headset that comes with the Soundtouch 300 soundbar to use the ADAPTiQ audio room calibration, move around the room where you usually sit and it optimizes the sound for the best results. We had to do the entire process a few times. One of the locations didn't give a good read while the wire was extended it's full length and if it detects any noise while processing it will error. Once it was all set and we hooked up the Bass sub, we had to calibrate all over again. To eliminate the need for multiple remotes, we have the universal remote set up to work and control the TV, cable box (with DVR and On Demand), apple TV, and Acoustimass 300 Wireless Bass module. It didn't take too long for my husband to program. There is a manual to help set it up. It's a much nicer, sleeker remote than the one from our cable company. Overall, the Bose Soundtouch 300 Soundbar and Acoustimass 300 Wireless Bass module work together nicely. We're really excited to have this Bose system. This our first system like this and would never consider anyone else.

The Bose Acoustimass is an awesome wireless subwoofer. It provides the sound with plenty of boom and we can really feel the bass in the small room we have it setup in. The subwoofer itself is pretty heavy and has a nice glass top. The downfall about this subwoofer is that since it has a glass top, you can see dust and dirt very easily.

Great Compliment to the SoundTouch 300

So I've been using the Acoustimass 300 for a couple of weeks now and I'm very impressed with the sound, setup, and stunning looks of this Sub. The Acoustimass 300 is a perfect complement to the SoundTouch 300 soundbar. The two devices look perfect together and the sound they produce in concert is excellent. I gave the device 4 (4.5) out 5 stars for one reason that I'm hopeful I'm overlooking or that it is something that Bose will fix in a software/firmware update in the future. Let me backup though prior to addressing that issue. First off unboxing. I know booooring. But this is the first and only time I've been truly impressed with the way a company packaged their product for delivery and more importantly for unboxing. The box the item ships in is excellent for preventing shipping damage. More importantly if there was an opposite to the dreaded "clamshell" packaging this would be it. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures as who really likes unboxing pics/vids but this is one time I wish I had. Inside the shipping box is another shell of a box that sides out to provide handles to slide the actual Sub out with. This alleviates the dreaded "hey honey, hold the box while I try and pull out this heavy object that is wedged in to tight to budge even an inch. It can't really be explained without experiencing it but trust me it is the coolest thing since sliced bread. Moving on to looks. I really really liked the look of the SoundTouch 300 but I like this Sub even better. It is piano black without being gaudy and built like a brick house. Which is weird considering the top of the sub is a sheet of beautiful glass that really needs to be a classy end table in an upscale home not flanking a TV and Soundbar in the front of a living room. With this in mind I put mine just off set of the TV instead of the corner so everyone and their brother can see it because it just looks that great. Sound wise. Bose hits it out of the park again. Sound is full, rich, deep, and rangy without any rattle from the enclosure at all. The sounds really does compliment the SoundTouch 300 soundbar and it is clear they were designed to work in concert with one another. So where does that.5 star get docked from. Well, I'm hoping I'm missing a setting or Bose has pushed out an update in the last few days. I looked through everything, I think, during the seamless and painless setup that took all of 20 minutes from opening the package, to tuning, to playing music. Nowhere in the setup process did I notice a setting to control the volume of the Sub module separate from the Soundbar. So assuming I've read correctly there is 4 volume settings for bass using the remote for both devices. My .5 star dock comes from the highest setting for bass sounds good on the soundbar but isn't quite enough volume for the Sub in certain movies/music. I really would like Bose to give the consumer the ability to "turn the volume up" more than it is now for Bass and ideally to do so separately for the Soundbar from the Sub. In a perfect world I would also like to be able to fine tune the crossover for the Sub as well but it seems to work well enough. At the end of the day I'm really happy with this setup. The Sub is not a crucial piece of equipment as the Soundbar by itself does a great job of covering all frequencies on its own. Having said that if you want the best sound possible and the ability to wake up your children while watching a good action movie or having a small house party the Acoustimass 300 is defintely the way to go. The Sub is gorgeous and sounds awesome. Well done Bose. Keep up the good work!

This is the only redeeming item in the bose soundbar package. If only it were paired with a legitimate soundbar, it could shine. The sound and rumbling is fantastic. I wish I could say the same about the soundbar.
