The best thing about this bass module is that it is wireless. Bass is adequate, however I must admit I’m a little disappointed at the sound when the volume is increased above 50%. I’m not an audiophile so I cannot explain exactly the problem other than it sounds like the speaker(s) are forced beyond its capabilities and that you either need to lower the volume or lower the bass strength in order to maintain a pleasant bass sound.

I love Bose products. It's very well-built and easy to install. I like that it can connects to the soundbar 500.

Good product and very good quality great price and easy to use

The bass is clean and distortion free in a relatively small package. I wouldn’t trust the wireless connectivity as there is too much interference in most places for it to work reliably. You can connect it via audio cable to the soundbar and get clean bass all day long. Its not wall shaking bass however.

This sub is a butt-kicking speaker to listen to and a very enjoyable addition to our living room sounds that if I wanted to could drive the upstairs neighbors' nuts, yes sir.

I had the Soundbar 500 for about a year and although the Soundbar by itself was nice, I wanted that extra “oomph” while watching movies. I highly recommend adding the matching subwoofer to this Soundbar to complete the package. We use the setup for streaming music and it sounds great. I am considering adding the wireless jewel cubes but am quite content with the setup as is. Great purchase, especially if you can get on sale.

The sound from this little sub is a beast! I was floored at the output and bass it provided!

I purchased the Bose 700 sound bar. It sounded good but did lack the lower of the lows. May viewing room is not that large so I opted to go with the Bose 500 Base Module. It connected seamlessly and I had no problems making adjustments with the Bose Music App.
