Don’t why I waited so long to purchase this bass module. This is a fantastic Bose product and very easy to install and pair with the Bose Soundbar 900. The bass just hits when you watch movies or play music! The Bose app makes is so easy to adjust the volume levels. If you want your walls to shake adjust to level 90.

    My Favorite Sub!

Through the years I have owned many types of home theatre systems. I have forked out way too much money for very large sub woofers which have shook the entire neighborhood. I have also tried what audiophiles claim to be the best compact subs which have left me wanting. To me, the Bose Bass Module 700 finds a near perfect balance. It is hard-hitting and accurate and generally has a high-end pleasant sound to it. Yet, it is small and elegant that looks amazing in our space. We’ve paired the Bass Module 700 wirelessly with our new Bose Soundbar 700. We were not discontent with the bass from the sound bar alone, but do find the experience enhanced with the added module. There is not an immediate jaw dropping difference. Instead, the enhancements are more subtle. The bass hits harder with virtually no distortion nor annoying resonance. The mids and highs also become more crisp making the system more enjoyable with better dynamics. In the end, the Bose Bass Module 700 is not the best sounding sub I have ever owned but it is my favorite. It just has a near perfect balance between performance and design. Thank you Bose!

    Smaller Subs Are Betterrrr

Well, I would like to say that I’m pretty disappointed in this subwoofer overall. I have the Bose smart sound 900 paired with my Bose bass module 500. I figured since the bass module 500 had a 5 1/4 inch downward, firing driver and the Bose base module 700 had a 10 inch upward firing it would be a tremendous difference in not just loudness but musical Fidelity… this is not the case. People that have heard and watched countless movies on my smart sound 900+ bass module 500 couldn’t really tell a difference and the actual quality of audio is much worse. I’m disappointed to have to relay that but if you want an honest review here it is. I didn’t want to give it just three stars. I wouldn’t say it’s worth four either. 3.5 it is. However, if I was writing the same review about the bass module 500 I would be raving at all the impressive things that small cube can do. This further proves my theory that if you want GOOD sound quality… smaller Subwoofers are much more clean and tuned. Oh and I think it’s ridiculous this thing cost like 800$. Come on Bose…

So far I am testing this product since 4 weeks now and I must say this is the best bass module I ever had. The clarity and perfection of sound is extraordinary. It pairs wirelessly with my bose sound bar 700. This acts as add on to my sound bar and it is must have. I would recommend this as a must have if you are buying a sound bar from Bose. The look and design is perfect and matches the looks of sound bar with glass like finish on top.

I’ve been a Bose user for years and have never been disappointed and that goes for this one. It is absolutely beautiful and constructed of high end top quality materials. The fact that it is wireless also gives it a clean professional look. But the look is only half of it. This subwoofer paired with the 700 soundbar produces a fantastic sound. Clean high end, immersive, rich full distortion free lows. It only throws in the bass at the appropriate time. I am very happy with this set up with no regrets...except it’s a bit pricey..but worth it!

Added this to our new Ultra Smart Soundbar and the added bass is awesome! The soundbar has fairly decent base to start with so this adds some real depth to the experience. The size is a big bonus!

BOSE SUBWOOFER, 900 SOUNDBAR & REAR SPEAKERS

We purchased the sounder to replace a 4 year old Bose Lifestyle 650 system that started having audio problems. We also added the sub woofer and rear channel speakers at the same time to duplicate what we had with the Lifestyle. The components are controlled with the Bose Music app. After all pieces were added to the app, you can control every individual speaker. Like a lot of bass, turn it up and make your floors rattle. Too much, adjust it down. Increase the volume of your rear surround speakers to catch all the action. This concept really makes a lot more sense than having everything included in one system. One conponent fails, just replace the it and the rest continue to work. A money saver. Extended warranty protection is one important thing to consider when making the purchase of these components. When we bought the Lifestyle back in 2019, we purchased a warranty from Bestbuy. After contacting Bestbuy with our problem, we were credited back our entire purchase price of the system. Will this happen in every case, I can't say. We were issued BB gift cards with which we purchase the replacement Bose system components. Oh, and we also purchased another 4 year warranty on each piece. It's fairly early days on our new purchases, but based on present performance, I would definitely recommend the purchase of these pieces if you really enjoy having great sound both on regular tv, but all the great content from streaming sources.

I have now 3 Bose sound bars, all with Subs and surround speakers. I tried and had others, gave away or returned (like 990B). I have (each setup), all are smart, as I use Alexa on all. Bose 500 sound bar with 500 sub and surround (let’s say 500, due to Bose does not give these a number) speakers Bose Smart 700 sound bar with 700 Sub and surround (let’s say 500, due to Bose does not give these a number) speakers Bose smart 900 sound bar with 700 sub and 700 rear speakers I like all the Bose rear speakers, the 700’s are just so small, I could not believe how small they are and sound as good as the much bigger surround (500) speakers, not that the surround (500) speakers are big in any way. Do the 700 surround sound better than the other, I have to say no, definitely the same but tiny. The 500 vs 700 bass module’s …. I like the 700’s better, the 700’s have more bass, not that the 500 bass is bad, it’s just the 700 bass sounds better as expected as it is bigger. The 500 vs 700 vs 900 sound bars……. I use the 500 for our bedroom and the 500 sounds great with the 500 sub and surround speakers for the bedroom. The 700 and 900 sound great and definitely better sound than the 500 ( but the 500 does sound great for a bedroom) (in my opinion). I think Bose did such a great job on the 700 that I don’t hear much difference between the 700 and 900 sound bars. I love the glass tops of both and with the 700 sub’s and either surround speaker types, the 700 or 900 is stunning in sound quality. I have played a bunch of movies with Atmos and both sound just about identical, that’s how good the 700 is even without Atmos. I highly recommend Bose to all, you do get what you pay for.

Pairs very nicely with the 900 soundbar. Can't speak to the wireless setup, but the wired setup is literally plug and play - you just plug it in and the soundbar immediately recognizes it. Of note, it only comes with a power cable and not the aux cord you would need for a wired setup. Produces a nice clean low end without distortion, and the difference between bass module vs no bass module is very apparent in movies. Presumably you've already bought into the Bose ecosystem if you're looking at bass module reviews, but there is always the argument about value between a soundbar setup and a 'real' surround sound setup. While there is a price premium that comes with it being Bose, I don't think it's egregiously overpriced or anything as the performance (of the bass module and the Bose 900 soundbar in general) is excellent despite the inherent limitations that soundbars have when compared to other surround sound setups.

I have been using the Bass Module for about 3 weeks now. Having the Bass Module paired with the Soundbar 700 is awesome! I thought it would be a little too much. However, being the wife and I would rather watch movies at home instead of the theater. Having this module enhances the feel and sound of the bass. I have tested the module and turn the bass up to see what it could handle and I have to say I am truly impressed. The set up was simple, all you had to do was install the Bose app and it would ask if you want to pair any accessories with the Soundbar. There is only one wire for the bass module and that is for the power. The wireless set up keeps the clean look! The wife was worried at first about how it would look but she agreed that Bose did a great job on the design.

I purchased the Bose Bass Module 700 as an Open Box (excellent) item, and overall, I’m very pleased with the experience. The unit arrived in excellent condition, looking almost brand new, with no visible marks or damage. The sound quality is outstanding, delivering deep, powerful, and clean bass that truly enhances both music and movie experiences. One minor issue: the module arrived without the power cable. However, I went to the store the next day and they resolved it quickly and without any hassle, providing me with the missing cable on the spot.

I paired this Bose 700 Subwoofer with my Bose 700 Soundbar and it has been really impressive so far, here is what I have experienced ,It is very simple to set up, you do it all through the Bose Mobile App that is required to set up the Soundbar and Subwoofer The Sound / Bass is absolutely incredible. It really acts as a deep, rich aspect of your music or movie listening experience rather than over doing it and drowning out the noise. It really helps you feel apart of the sound and I am really happy with it's performance so far

This is an excellent addition to a bose soundbar. Linking the system is (setup/pairing) is a breeze in the app. It sounds great and adds a nice low end dimension to movies and music. It is expensive, but in this instance, you get what you pay for. You can find this product on a slight discount from time to time at BB, typically during holidays.

Absolutely must have if you own Bose ultra sound bar. The deep low bass is good enough to shake the room. Pros - connect wireless with the sound bar ( you can also use wired connections sold separately), looks premium, good bass to compliment the bar. Cons- little on the pricy side ( but again, all good things are pricey ).

This is an excellent buy! We used the soundbar for a while before buying this due to the high cost. Once we added this module, it dramatically transformed my movie watching experience. The setup only took a few minutes to connect the wifi and the app. The physical setup was as easy as plug and play. BEFORE YOU BUY, make sure you buy a 3.5 MM Audi Cable. Bose does not include this with the packaging and you will need it to connect to the soundbar. I was pretty disappointed that bose would not include this with the purchase. I had to make a trip back to bestbuy to get a cord that would work. I would think that the manufacturer would include the cable to connect with their own product. Even the instructions say this is not included. Otherwise the bass quality is amazing!! even at 30% you can feel certain scenes shaking the floor. The price is high so I would wait until there are sales for the pair, but the quality is 100% for your money.
