Many also appreciate its lightweight design and Bluetooth connectivity, although some wish for improved battery life and range. Finally, a truly great bluetooth headset!

I recently lost my old Plantronics bluetooth headset in one of my hotel shuffles for work. I decided to do some research instead of just buying a replacement right away, and I'm glad I did. I looked at cheaper models than this from other manufacturers, but I decided to go with this one based on reviews and my satisfaction with other Bose products. I travel quite a lot, so I often find myself in noisy cars or noisy airports. With other models I've used, the person on the other end could barely hear me but could hear the background noise perfectly, which was annoying. After testing this headset, the exact opposite is true. People didn't even know I was using a headset at all while I was driving, whereas before they could hear my GPS and road noise. The same is true about in airports, no more noisy backgrounds with frequent announcements. On my end, the audio quality is crystal clear as well! The only complaint I have, and it's small, is that instead of shipping with a hard protective case it comes with a very small soft case. Aside from that small detail, I've finally found a truly great headset and will never use another brand!

Was a bit sceptical but needed a BT headset. Have tried many: Jabra, BlueAnt, Jawbone, Plantronics, Motorola - you name it. All had their good points, but the voice quality was always not up to par for me. Read a few articles and reviews on the Bose (v. 2) and the consistent praise was about voice quaity. Decided to give it a shot (could return to BB if not happy). The voice quality was simply unbelievable. My wife could not tell that I was on a headset. I also found it to be one of the easier to use units yet. Main button and volume controls easy to distinguish while wearing. Power switch underneath. One touch of the button and Voice Dial on my iPhone 4 pops up. Will not be bringing back to BB. Highly recommended.

    Best bluetooth headset I've owned.

I bought this to replace older Plantronics and Motorola headsets. Both gave adequate sound, but were extremely uncomfortable. This is so comfortable, I forget I have it on and the only way it comes out of my ear is if I physically remove it. My main reason for buying it was the Bose name (who would know more about sound reproduction than Bose).

    Best Bluetooth

    1. Best sound quality among the other bluetooth headsets I've owned. 2. Easy to pair with my iPhone 5. 3. One of the best things is the lightness and comfortability of the earpiece. 4. You can hear the bass when playing music. (It' s like just having one headphone on your ear) 5. The noise canceling works very well too. Have not have any complaint from the receiver in windy or noisy areas yet.

I love technology and I have been using BT's since Motorola first manufactured them. I am in sales and travel quite frequently and I am exposed to weather, loud airports, city noices, etc. I have tried them all Pantronics, Jabra, Motorola, Jawbone (except for ANT) etc. I recently purchased the Jawbone ERA because it offered "Cool" features. Unfortunately, it failed in the most important feature which is sound and clarity. I returned it and found the Bose Series 2. At first, the price intimidated me. After two days of use I felt like I have finally found Bluetooth Euphoria. It is so loud and clear for the user and the receiver who hears at the other end. I highly encourage you to try one and you will be writing a review just as I am.

It's very comfortable in the ear and felt like i didn't have it on after five minutes. You will def like this one! No static while talking also. You get what you pay for!!! Awesome noise cancellation, BUT...

People hear me clearly. I tested the noise cancellation and its awesome. But then the shortcomings kick in. Its only for the R side, so if my right ear gets tired, hurts a little, etc I don't have the option of switching it to the L. Then as another reviewer noted, yes sometimes it seems Bose focused a bit too much on making the speaker good for music. So certain voices sound too rich making it difficult to understand. Its probably just my ear, but the small is too small where it feels like the headset will fall out too easiy. The medium seems to be a good fit, but then my ear starts to hurt after only a relatively short time. Here's where the switchability would have made this my go to headset. It still is really, but I'm sure Bose can make it so its interchangeable.

    Good, but not $150 good.

I have always stuck to Jawbone as far as bluetooth headsets go, but I sent my last Jawbone ERA through the wash on accident, so I decided to try out the Bose Headset Series 2 ($150) instead of buying another Jawbone ERA ($130). Big Mistake. I mainly need my bluetooth for functionality and the Bose just doesn't have it. I work in a somewhat noisy atmosphere, so background noise reduction is KEY. The Bose headset not only does not eliminate background nose, but it pretty much doesn't reduce ANY background noise, whatsoever. When in my work vehicle people can barely hear me and can hear every background noise my vehicle is making, often making me repeat myself and almost yelling into the headset for them to understand what I am saying to them. In my personal car, it is much easier for people to understand my conversation, but the headset still picks up on background noise. With the stereo turned down, the person on the phone can actually hear what song is playing in the background, let alone not hear it at all. This is not the case with the Jawbone ERA. When I am in my noisy work vehicle, people can not only hear and understand me, but rarely even know I am in the vehicle and are often surprised I am driving at all. This only gets better in my personal vehicle. No background noise, no wind noise with the window down. they can't even tell I have the radio on with it barely turned down at all. The Bose has comfort and in-ear audio quality, but nothing much else. If you plan on only using it in your personal vehicle with all the windows rolled up and the stereo turned all the way down, then I would recommend this headset (NOT for the price tag, though). If you are going to use this headset in any sort of noisy atmosphere....avoid it. My phone has better noise reduction than this headset has. It's basically $150 for your bluetooth to say "Bose" on the side.

The difference between a good company and a bad company is how responsive they are to customers. Bose is out of this world, for the second time my earbuds broke and Bose, NO QUESTIONS ASKED, replaced them just for S&H. Not only the product itself is magnificent, the guys at Bose are awesome. Thank you for not outsourcing your Customer Service Department.

    Rip-off for the money

I am in construction and am constantly on my phone in noisy environments, so noise reduction is VERY important to me to be able to communicate with my customers. I had been using the Jawbone products on and off for years, but with my work, my headsets take a beating so I have used everything from cheap Jabras, Bue Ants, and this Bose. I had bought the Jawbone Era when it came out, but it started having problems. I talked to Jawbone and they said it was probably faulty and I should take it back and exchange. When I returned, Best Buy was out of stock on the Era's and the only good one they had was the Bose. So I paid the extra $30 and got the Bose. SOOOO disappointed!!! It paired easily, but so did the Era. It was comfortable, but so was the Era. Where it failed miserably was in noise reduction. My customers were complaining that they couldn't hear me, even in a car with the windows up... this thing would pick up everything. I kept it for 3 miserable days, finally returning when BB had an Era in stock. Exchanged it, and 7 months later, couldn't be happier. Not to mention that the Jawbone is LIGHT YEARS ahead of it, technologically! Do yourself a favor and save some money while you are at it... Get the Jawbone Era.

This is a great product and works as advertised. The background noise cancellations is excellent. I drive alot and people can not tell I am in the car. My only challenge is that the battery life, 4 - 4.5 hours I use that up by early afternoon which means that I am stuck charging the headset in the middle of the day. I have owned 3 different plantronics, and a jawbone, this is the best so far.

    Great Bluetooth for iPhone

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

First off, I'm using this bluetooth with a iPhone 5, which works seamlessly. So far I have no issues. I do miss the Battery Indicator on the smart phone, but hey, before smart phones, we had to just deal right? One of the issues I've read about is the battery life. Don't forget, if you have all of the sound alerts on the BT will always kick on, i.e. texting, do you have key click on, well that counts against your talk time. I believe for the price, BOSE should of kicked in for a better case, so it doesn't get messed up. The ear piece is awesome, but it is very "Jelly Like", so I can see if accidentally pulling on it (getting it out of purse, pocket etc), you could overstretch it. I like that it doesn't have all the bells & whistles, I think because of that it answers the phone fast and gets the job done with less stress. I'm okay with no callerid, I found that with that function, you are listening to who is calling, during that time the phone is ringing, so the person calling could hang up, so most of the time, you are answering while the BT talking and telling you it is answering the call. I would give it five stars, if the battery indicator was available & hopefully some firmware upgrades to enhance the BT. BT's I've tried: ERA - Just didn't like it, too big (for my face) and trying to make sure the little thingie on the bottom was touch my face was driving me crazy (I was always saying "is it touching". Sliver - functions not compatible with iPhone, plus I think it amplified the background noise. Legend - Really liked it, but it is big and clunky, if you have small ears, it will eventually fall off, or you are always making sure it was on your ear. Q2 - Just sounded blah. SoundID Six - This was like I was playing telephone with a Tin Can.

    FINALLY!!! An unbelievably GREAT bluetooth!

After many of years of wasted money on some of the "best" bluetooths on the market, I FINALLY have one that actually works...and works FLAWLESSLY! I have tried all major brands in all price ranges and had all but given up. In fact, I haven't used a BT at all in over 2 years. Purely by accident, when shopping for something else, I found myself looking to see what was new in BT. I was almost set on the Jawbone with military technology (whatever), when the sales associate recommended the Bose. I was left thinking, "Sure she recommended the most expensive BT the store carries." With assurance regarding the return policy of 30 days, I decided to give BT one more chance. I am so glad I did! This Bose unit is simply AMAZING. For the first time, I can HEAR the party on the other end...and they can HEAR me. The sound is CRYSTAL CLEAR! I have not messed with the controls on the actual headset (volume, commands, etc.) because they matter little to me. What was most important to me was the sound...and the Bose DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! This is the best wad of cash I have shelled out for anything in a very long time. Kudos to Bose for FINALLY giving the consumer a BT headset that ACTUALLY WORKS!!!

    It's good but...

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've had many blue tooth ear pieces. Jawbone Icon HD, Motorola Sliver I, II. My favorite was the Motorola Sliver 1 for fit (that's where it ended). It was by far the most comfortable ear piece. The sound was fairly decent too, much better than the Jawbones (IMHO). The problem with the Moto was that I had to return it 1/2 a dozen times because it had so many issues with pairing and of course falling apart! Anyone who spoke with me while it was in my ear would tell me that it sounded like I was in a wind tunnel and had a very difficult time hearing me. They advertised this piece as being wireless for the length of a football field or so however, I walk down to the basement and my signal was cut off and I live in a very small house. So onto the Bose... I figured I'd try something new. The first thing that irked me about this piece was the fit. Even changing the little rubber ear piece things, the Bose still feels like it's dangling from my ear by a string. It will not stay in. So although the sounds is terrific while you hold it close to your ear, once the speaker leaves your ear drum the sound quality deteriorates quickly. I'm sure this is not the case for everyone as everyone's ears are different. It would be nice to have some type of device that the loops around your ear to keep it more secure. THIS SUCKS because the sound is so good I want to keep it. PAIRING: This paired with my rooted Samsung SIII in a matter of seconds with no issue however, it will not pair with my Samsung Note 8 or my Blackberry Bold. Overall, although the sounds is terrific, I find that the feeling I get wearing it whereas it feels like it's falling out of my ear all of the time is a major issue for me as this is very uncomfortable. The issue pairing with only 1 out of 3 devices is a shame. On a positive note, the people I've spoken with while this was in my ear had no issues hearing me. No more wind tunnels and the sound clarity of the person on the other end is also more clear. One more thing. It seems like most of these "HD", "STEREO" bluetooth devices are bogus. The Bose actually sounds like it stereo quality. If you're listening to pop music, you probably wont notice a difference. If you listen to stuff like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, you will notice this immediately as things move from channel to channel. On most BT devices, only 1 channel appears to be coming in but I think Bose did a great job of making sure you hear all of the details in 1 ear.

I am a truck driver, and in a truck there is a lot of background noise. I have tried several headsets over the years, but this Bose headset is simply the best out there. When I am in my truck, and on the headset, people that I am talking with cannot tell that I am in a truck. Great noise cancelling. Also stream music and or videos from my HTC Evo with excellent sound quality. I own several different Bose prodocuts, and I am completely happy with every one of them!!

    works with iPhone 5

I had a plantronics voyager, and replaced it with the new voyager legend. Returned it once, and ended up returning the second. Worked horribly with iPhone 5. Read the reviews, and they're spot on. It's that bad. There were no reviews specifically relating to this unit and the new iphone, so I felt compelled to write this one. I didn't even know Bose made one, so I tried it. It works great. The call clarity on both ends is outstanding. It doesn't drop calls, and it doesn't go silent. So far, it doesn't spontaneously unpair like all 4 of my previous plantronics did. The Bose is compact and fits snugly in my ear. It even activates Siri with the call button. It's not cheap, but in the end well worth it for the lack of aggravation I had from the others. And, it's not that much more than the others. I've never taken the time to write a review like this before, but I thought it would do others some good. I didn't know what to try next, and I was beginning to feel like all bluetooth technology was fair at best, but this is really an outstanding unit in my experience.

This little Bluetooth flat Amazed me! Super easy to set up. Fits perfectly and stays in. It is very comfortable and can be worn for hours. I have tried them all, Jawbone Era, Motorola and Motorola Rokr, none of them stack up to this at all. All the others I have used People always complained about background noise or that I sound like I'm in a fish bowl. I would recommend this to anyone. It is well worth the extra cash for a great quality product.
