This is a really good system. I just wanted to upgrade from the stock speakers on the TV and this is so much better. The bass is very impressive and the sound quality is excellent. Bose tried to sell us on one of their $1,000 and up systems but that was out of our budget so we went over to Best Buy and got this system and we're really happy with it. If you want true surround sound or simulated surround this is not the system for you, but for just much better sound quality and the addition of bass this is great. I notice a massive difference watching TV, movies, or playing games with this system versus the stock TV speakers. I'd definitely recommend this.

I bought this on sale during Black Friday. I knew Bose is an awesome brand, but wasn't sure what to expect with just the sub and the small soundbar speaker. You'd be surprised - this is an awesome sounding system that's very easy to hook up! The bass can be adjusted with a very wide range and when turned up will shake walls during intense parts of movies or when listening to music. The sound from the soundbar is very clear and crisp as you'd expect from Bose, even when turned up pretty high. Haven't heard any distortion at all. Would absolutely recommend for someone looking for a great sounding system without breaking the bank.

I am not a huge sound expert, just a lay person who enjoys good sound while watching TV or a movie. This has great sound and can easily be too loud if you aren't careful. Lots of power in this speaker. Also, I decided to get this after having some frustration with the full blu-ray surround sound entertainment center, which lacked enough inputs for me to use the various auxiliary inputs that I have. Using this speaker set up, everything now flows through the TV which is how I prefer it.

Easy to set up and to operate. Certainly provides enough low end for me. Nice clear sound from the fairly small sound bar...... I don't see why anyone would need more than this.

The Cinemate 15 reminds me of a young athlete that has a tremendous amount of talent, but needs refinement. I replaced the Sonos Playbar with the Cinemate 15 because I wasn't pleased with the maximum audio level of the Sonos (I should specify that I only had the playbar and not the sub, so price was also a factor). The Cinemate 15 provides good (not great) audio quality, and despite its small size, is a tremendously loud soundbar. The bass module (sub woofer) has plenty of power and bass for almost all situations. The performance is great, but it lacks refinement in a few areas that could be deal breakers, depending on your demands. First, there's no "news" setting, which amplifies and makes voices stand out, and usually very clear. Second, there's no "night" setting, which elevates quiet audio (like a whispering conversation) but decreases audio level for things like explosions or gun fights. Even though it lacks refinement, the Cinemate 15 is a great sound bar that is worth the money. + Max audio level: I have a large living room, and I was skeptical that the Bose would be able to fill the room with sound. I was pleasantly surprised with the maximum audio level. Audio remains accurate with very little distortion at higher volumes. While it's hard to compare what "loud" is from one person to another, I can tell you that I tend to like my music very loud...and I usually don't exceed 65-70% maximum volume. I would also like to note that the bass module (sub) has yet to disappoint. Whether it's long drawn out thundering bass, or quick, punching bass the bass module has performed really well. While I will admit that I usually keep the volume knob (bass module has an independent volume knob that fine tunes bass input) up to about 75%. + Room filling sound: Maximum audio is one thing, but how well the audio is projected is a bigger factor for room filling sound. The Cinemate 15 has a total of 4 speakers (drivers) in the soundbar, two of which fire directly out of the side of the bar. Because of the speakers firing out of the side of the bar, the Cinemate 15 literally has a 180 degree sound stage. No matter where you are sitting in the room, you get the same great audio experience. + Universal remote: The Cinemate 15 includes a universal remote, so that's pretty cool. I haven't programmed mine yet, but it's a nice additional feature. - No "night mode": I mentioned this earlier, so let me go more in depth. The first night I bought the Cinemate 15 I watched "Argo" which has plenty of quiet scenes, but like most action movies has plenty of chanting crowds, helicopters and screeching tires. The quiet scenes were sometimes challenging to hear, while the action scenes were always plenty loud. It could have just been the contrast between the high's and low's that made it hard to hear the low scenes, but I guess that's the point of the "night mode" to eliminate the contrast. It's not a deal breaker, but it would be a nice added feature, especially considering that even budget soundbars that cost half as much usually include the feature. -Inability to toggle inputs: This may not be an issue for most people, but it's really frustrating that the Cinemate 15 doesn't allow you to toggle between multiple inputs. I have my TV connected through the optical input, but I would like to have my Sonos Connect connected through the coax input. Unfortunately, if I want to go from watching TV to listening to music, I have to shut the soundbar off, unplug one input, then plug in the other. As with the "night" mode, other sound bars that cost hundreds less have the option to toggle inputs, it would be nice if the Cinemate 15 did too. - Not a wireless sub: While most sound bar sub woofers just need to be plugged into the wall and receive the signal via bluetooth, the bass module on the Cinemate 15 is connected directly to the soundbar via two large, connected cables that I refer to as "jumper cables" because they are pretty large. The cable is 9 feet in length, so hopefully you don't need to have the bass module farther than 9 feet away from the soundbar. The only plus to this, is that Bose combined the power cable with the audio cables that connect to the bass module, so it doesn't require a separate power cord for the soundbar itself.

Surprisingly clean and strong sound. If you are tight on space or don't want the additional wires and components of a typical sound system, take a listen to this gem in the store. We compared it to all the other soundbars on hand and were most impressed with this unit. Pricier than most but worth it!

We set this up in our bedroom as its rather large and the TV speakers were ok but not great. For the price, its unbeatable. Very small footprint which we wanted. I thought of Mounting it on the wall but it sits on top of the cable box which can't be mounted. Movies sounds great and we have a Sony TV with the Android operating system which has the Google Music app....music sounds great. Much better sounds than other sound bars we tried in a much smaller size. Very happy with this purchase.

I do love the sound, and I know that it is not a true surround sound system, but it still leaves me wanting more. It seems like it doesn't provide any simulated surround sound like the store model, and sales associate indicated it would. It was very simple to install. The remote continues to "forget" the Blu-Ray player and Apple TV unit. If you want much better sound than your TV speakers can provide, then wait on a sale, and purchase this system.

It's amazing how much sound can come out of these two speakers! The name BOSE says it all. I had considered purchasing something a little less expensive but I also didn't want to waste my money on something that I wasn't sure I'd like. The sound bar is small enough that you really don't know it's even there.

We went back and forth between the larger Bose home theater system set and the CineMate 15. Could not be happier with our decision to purchase the CineMate 15! Tr sound quality is fabulous. There are several sounds you may not be hearing with regular television speakers or those of lesser quality; not the case with the CineMate 15 - it's as though you are in the middle of the action regardless of what you are watching. Highly recommend this set.

This sound-bar is perfect for our apartment. We just purchased a new flat-screen, having updated after 7 years, and the sound quality from these new TVs is sub-par to say the least. I've purchased Bose in the past and have never been disappointed, this is no exception. Sports and Movies sound great and the space saving size is just what we needed. Don't let the size fool you though this thing can pack a punch. I highly recommend.

Good system.. No complaints about the nose product. I believe it delivers well for the price range. Very simple to set up. Only complaint is the purchase was based off of the sub being wireless which was advised to me by the best buy rep. However after unpackaging we reliezed this wasn't a wireless sub. In fact your speaker hooks up the the sub with a heavy gauge wire so you are limited in places to put this. I put the pros against the cons and one of the cons being is it worth my time even returning it.. End up just keeping it and using it in another room. Overall would recommend the system

Initial setup was very easy. System works well with my Sony bravia TV. The universal remote works with the audio system, TV, and xfinity cable box. Sound is excellent, really fills up the room. I like the compact design, which looks a lot better then most sound bars.

This Bose system provides markedly better sound than my flat screen television could produce. It is a great alternative to expensive surround sound systems. The only thing negative about the system is the cord to the subwoofer is quite short, reducing your placement options in your room. It would be nice to have a much longer cord or to have a wireless subwoofer.

Great sound from compact system with minimal wires. Upgraded the fiber optic cable that came with it because mine was making an occasional popping noise (new cable fixed it). Wish the sub would have been wireless and that the speaker would have used HDMI instead of fiber optic. All in all - high quality components and great sound.
