You get what you see. That is to say that they are Bose which means the sound is very good. There is no subwoofer so you're simply not going to get any kind of real base. That said, they sound great and there is enough base there to satisfy the casual listener. If I used my PC for my main source for music I'd have to have more depth/base.

I bought these to replace an old Klipsch 4 speaker pro media set that died. These cannot come close to the sound of the Klipsch, but I like the fact that there is no subwoofer to hide. The Bose set are not as loud as expected, but the sound is surprisingly rich, and the bass is great for a 2-speaker set. I like the fact that there are 2 inputs.

It's old school tethering but so worth it for the sound. It's clear and crisp and beautiful. The speakers are small and tuck away nicely on either side of the desk top. The sound is deceiving because you'd think it was coming from much larger speakers.

Bose Quality sound, and takes up a lot less space in my desk.

The price might be a bit steep for what it is and what it might lack. These are speakers for pros though, and the quality and balance in sound is fantastic. These will now be my go too, and I am already looking to get a second set for a different work station. Don't let the steeper price turn you away, you are getting that Bose quality and great build quality. Definitely ranking this one high for the holidays.

Look, hands down best sound quality money can buy. This little guys are powerful. Ensure your audio drivers are set correctly when you use them so you get the max sound. BUY THEM. Almost everything I buy is Bose.

These speakers deliver good clean sound with a great range; I've heard Bose uses their reputation as opposed to actual top-line components, but for an intermediate audiophile on a budget, these perform their role well. Easy set up, easy to manipulate, and a great buy for my purposes.

These are the best speakers I have ever owned and I have had a lot of them, at 82 you can imagine. Being able to control the volume both on the speakers and on the key board is a real treat. I highly recommend these and for the price that was right.

Nice speakers. They are easy to set up and sound great. Bass is good, no need to set a sub with them. They are Bose so there is no question about the quality of the product!! Like them a lot

As there reputation is know as having excellent sound in a compact size Bose comes through again at a great price. I heard the demo in the store and for the price was very impressed. They sound great and I am very happy with them. They are very well made and you can tell they they are a quality product.

Perfect complement to my MacBook! The sound from these speakers is quite loud and renders true to original. The footprint of these speakers is small and makes it easy to be kept on the table without taking too much space!

I recently bought a set of Bose Companion 2 speakers for my computer. All I can say is that I am truly happy that I bought them. They were easy to install and, like anything Bose, sound great. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a pair. You won't be disappointed.

I had bought these speakers in the past for my gaming setup for my PC and the quality was so amazing, I bought as a gift for my brother. Says they are great sounding with good bass. Bose hasn’t disappointed me yet.

I bought these for a replacement of my computer speakers. I've bought Bose before and have always been impressed by the way they can pack excellent sound from small speakers. These did not disappoint. Recommend them for anybody needing good speakers in a small space.

We needed some powered speakers for a turntable. We did not want any with a sub do to lack.of space. We tried 5 other brands and they all failed miserably. Then we stumbled on these little gems. They sound fantastic and have a small footprint. Could not be happier!

Punchy bass, warm mids, and detailed highs. These little speakers can keep up with all your favorite tunes. Unexpectedly lifelike imaging for the price. Great all around speakers that are just fun to listen too.

These speakers have great sound!! Surprisingly good bass, clear treble, and decent midrange. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because the audio cable that's provided is very short.

These Bose desktop / bookshelf speakers provide decent sound across all ranges hearing by an average person (non-audiophile) like me. The 3.5mm input and also having a 3.5mm headphone output are the reasons I got these for special custom connections. It's a good value if you can get these while they are priced under $100.
