The speakers connected very easily to the computer and the volume can be turned up and down directly from the speakers. You don’t have to click some button on the computer to find the volume.

I originally purchased these speakers for my brother as a Christmas gift for him to use on his computer. He was really excited when he got them. He had told me how great the sound quality is and how they were a huge improvement over his previous speakers. Recently the time came for me to purchase new computer speakers. I asked my brother if he would recommend these and he said absolutely. For the price and overal quality they are amazing. They don't take up much room and look nice next to my two monitors. Most importantly, the sound is amazing.

For as small as they are, these speakers are excellent! I needed speakers that did not take up a lot of room and they do the job. Excellent sound and even some base! I'd buy them again.

Great speakers! Hooked them up to my boyfriends monitor and they are really loud. You can hear the bass in them which makes movies sound absolutely amazing.

I recently acquired these BOSE speakers for my MAC and they work GREAT! Easy to set up and very clear sound for my music while I work. Can't go wrong with the best, BOSE!

Wanted Bose quality in compact size. Needed speakers for my CD changer. Bought the smaller set and they met my needs. Loud enough to be heard through walls but easy front dial to lower sound when back in same room. Satisfied.

Better than most PC speakers I have heard. Use this to listen to and rehearse complex vocals. I also have some (Bose) that have the bass boost and these are almost up to that.

I was somewhat skeptical because of the few less than stellar reviews of these speakers from those who mostly complained of lack of bass (some spelled it "base", which should disqualify their review right there). Apparently they expect bass such as that generated by subwoofers. However, when I hooked these up and went to YouTube to try all kinds of music (Stones, Dead, Prine, Beethoven, Mozart, piano sonatas, concertos, symphonies, acoustic guitars, etc.) I found the reproduction to be quite good, with adequate bass and accurate across the audio spectrum. Certainly worth a hundred bucks.

I'm disappointed that I didn't buy these sooner! Wow, what exceptional computer speakers these are. They live up to the Bose name and are well worth the money. I originally overlooked them because of the low price. I was surprised by the build quality and amazingly clear sound. They don't feel or sound like $99 speakers. I've had pro monitors that didn't sound this good. If you are monitoring an edit, watching a movie, or gaming, these will do the job. Having an additional aux input on the back makes them comparable to speakers that cost x3 as much. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I bought 2 sets. One for my desktop computer and one to hook up to a computer or TV in my workout room. Sound quality is great especially compared to the stock TV and computer speakers and volume is adequate for what I need.

This is my 2nd purchase of the Companion 2 Series #III speaker system. Sadly I had l leave my first set behind when I spent two years living outside the U.S., but when I returned, these were one of the first things that I purchased. Love the simplicity of the system, but what I love even more is the quality of the sound. I have these hooked up to an LG monitor which has great graphic quality but has no built-in speakers. Great for watching videos. The sound is brilliant but the price of the speakers did not break the bank. If I had to leave these speakers behind again as I travel the world, I would buy they again when I returned to home base.

I was a skeptic on this purchase at first. My concerns were... at $100 how good could they be as there are much better ones for not much more according to review websites, there is no subwoofer, this is extremely cheap for a Bose product and the fact that they first came out YEARS ago! All my concerns turned out to be a non-issue. The speakers sound like they should cost WAY more than $100, they style is still modern, the sound quality is better than most speakers I have had that include a subwoofer. I am amazed by the sound that come out of these babies. They main thing you are giving up at this price point is wattage, but if you like good overall sounding audio, these are a must have!

Speakers provide decent sound. Main complaint is that the main audio cord from computer to right speaker is too short. If the computer is not adjacent to the right speaker, there is not enough cord to reach.

I bought this to carry around with a projector and laptop for outdoor movies with the kids and they've been fantastic. Light weight, not bulky, and sound quality has been great.

These speakers sound great. I make music and also edit audio for video productions using these. They are a great reference and are surprisingly powerful for the price point.

You get good loud sound. Deep bass. Easy to setup.
